Oooh Maximus! I'm loving the warmth you captured in his coat--while it is red, there are still the deep red outlines in the mane, the muted carnation of the muzzle, and the subtle notes of dusty rose smudged into the white patch. Really ties the figure together. :3

Thanks! I tend to prefer cool colour schemes but really wanted to give him a warm comforting feeling. Playing with all the reds was interesting for me.

Heres a current WIP for a commission. Totally haven't been avoiding the chest till last moment. Surprisingly that's one of the hardest part for me about horses. They have some complex muscles going on there. Same with necks.

Using a blocky brush for that eye is so good, it shows your capability to create the forms of a subject with ease.
