For the new RP, I was thinking that a bunch of people with abilities were locked away in a specially-made prison for people such as them. The people with abilities weren't born with them, as they were forcefully chosen by the source known as Furor. You may believe that having abilities is fun, yet it also comes with risks, as you might face Corruption. The more negative feelings, actions, or experiences a person goes through, there's a risk that they'll be Corrupted. To counter this, one must find a way to stop the Furor from taking over by doing positive activities like helping others, meditation, etc. Corrupted is when a person's Furor takes over when they're weak, converting them into something no longer human. Many become mindless animals known as Strays or Beasts, always in the state of hunting, and lose their sense of what it means to become human. However, a few retain their humanity, albeit twisted, and get to keep some parts of their human appearance (a chimera, basically), making them more deadly than their counterparts as they keep their intelligence. These are called Sentinels or Alphas. (will work more on that in the RP) Each person with abilities was put into a deep sleep, stuck in an endless dream to keep them from using their powers. However, it all changed when a mysterious woman broke into the prison and freed everyone from their sleep. No, she isn't the hero, nor is she the villain. She's just a woman who wanted a bit of chaos and cause disorder in the city. Plot twist, the government is using the prisoners to extract the Furor from them while they sleep to create humanoid weapons they can control. (more on that too) |
