But then after putting it on, they feel a bit dizzy before noticing a small red string wrapped around their pinky which fades into smoke in a certain direction.

The closer they get to the person, the more visible and clearer the line will become until they can see the string reach another person, wrapped around their finger too!

OH OR-!! Imagine they're already with someone and when they see the string it doesn't attach to their partner/crush and they're left having to make a decision on if they try find the one they're meant to be with or if they stick with the one they already love >:3
