Hey hey, I hope this post is ok

I hiatused/took a break from WP end of 2023, and am not caught up with every new change to WP. I just know that with every short log in, there were many updates done :)

So Im hoping some of yalls can summarize any changes relevant to my interests:

Exploring, for instance Iheard that it no longer matters on what level you train wolves? cause I know it as levels 2-5 forest being loved for training new wolves...

Breeding

New rules/functions to the game

I don't care for Decor, gear, new games etc.

again hope this is ok, as I find it difficult scrolling through every update page since December 2023

My questions:

Is there a popular high talent stud around? or is that market just done

Welcome back to WP! This is most of the stuff that was added from December 2023 onwards.

Exploring:

-Low level forest was bugged and gave twice as many enemies as it should have, so Eve patched that. That means it's better to explore at high levels now.

-Explore has key binding on WASD and arrow keys

-Crafting takes significantly less time

-Basic Accounts get 50 moves and Premium Accounts get 80 moves

-Quests got revamped. Now there's a boar named Gullin handing them out and you can turn down 3 a day. There's also bounties where you find a certain enemy in explore and event quests.

-Bronze figurines and Chinese pottery from Bidoo cost half as much (30 and 15 respecitvely)

-Most events got some items or encounters added to it. The Charon's blessing token now can be used on Round 1 (with Round 5 buffs)

-New June voodoo event. Can turn off explore events

-Pursue was added. All wolves automatically know it and it prevents enemies from fleeing, but wolves might not pursue on a turn depending on disposition.

-Gamemail sent to FMC winners

Breeding:

-Wolves can interbreed within the pack (not just alphas)

-It's easier for pelts to pass down to offspring. This is for all rarities, including Exclusive and Crystalline.

-Breeding for Rarity has been made slightly easier. Pups inherit more of their parents markings.

-Talent inheritance changes:

"1- The chance of talent inheritance has been decreased. It is still better than it originally was, but is less than the overpowered chance.
2- Talents will only be worth 10 additional CP not 20.
Note: This change only affects inheritance. Talents added manually still give 20 CP."

-WP Buff: "Wolf Party has had an update such that it is easier to have the marking color show up on your wolf. It gets even easier with each successive level. But, overall, you should now start seeing the markings on your first level wolves."

-Lots of Rosewood markings were added

-A couple breeding items were added:

Yarrow - All Pups will be Female.
Mandrake - All Pups will be Male.

-Infatuation boost in WP on Feburary 14th

-HH boost in WP on October 23rd

Other:

-Art rule (March 25, 2024): "Regarding Reselling: If art is purchased with a no selling agreement then it can not be resold, otherwise it's ok. If you do not wish for your art to be resold please include a No-selling Clause."

-A weekly site-run raffle was added recently. The link is under "Today's Winners" on the news page. This also added a new item called a Bear Paw that lets you create a free custom.

-Wolf Totem was added, which auto-staggers your wolves' dominance (free for premium)

-One month premium option in barter

-Can switch between accounts under Pack>Switch Accounts

-Don't know if you PvP, but the wait time is now 5 minutes

-Can create multiple mushroom saving accounts

New event items:

January:

Hel's Scepter : Crack open one geode for free.

Jormungand: Vial of Venom: This can be used as a chance to poison an enemy in battle. If sucessful, it will give 5-10 damage per round.

Fenrir: Fenrir's Claw: It can be left at the Hot Springs, granting your pack another drink. The limit is once per day.

February:

Hati - Vial of Moonlight: increases chances of a pregnant wolf having a pup with an attribute increase good for the FMC- either Howling or Wrestling

Skoll - Light for Growing: doubles mushrooms found by explore team for 20 moves

Frost Giant - Frozen Heart: Freezes enemy randomly so they can't attack. Useful for 20 explore steps.

Nidhogg - Root bark. Eating it heals wolf over time while exploring.

Fire Giant - Eternal Flames: Used in Explore. Increase damage by 1-5 for 20 moves

March:

Ostara's Wildflower- randomizes a wolf's vital

Fairy Circle - Give it to any wolf with a Fae basecoat, and the wolf will receive a random boost

Bundle of Clovers - Increase pup talent chance

Fae's Breath- increases the chance of having boosted triplets from a female wolf (any random boost)

Green Berry
How interesting. A green berry. Not quite ripe, but rumors are that it does wonders.
Slightly increases the chance of a boost and defect together.

April:

Fake Grass - Gains +25 CP in social stat.

Lamb Carcass - Temple Offering +25 CP in spirituality.

Daffodil - Can use in explore during winter to increase the amount of prey (as if temporarily returning it to spring) for a short period of time.

Easter Basket - doubles the mush earned from Battle and Hunts for 20 moves

Wooden Cross -
Your wolf feels blessed when they gaze at this cross.
Increases the chance of getting twins.

August:

Wolf Whistle - Used in Wolf Party to call a wolf for a higher pelt rarity chance
Spiked Collar - Use this in explore to increase your chance of finding an Originator!
Fishing Rod - Increases drop chance of all items from battles for a day.

Doctor's Note - Give to a wolf to remove it's defect.
Garlic - Use this on a wolf for protection of the infection. Werewolves hate this. Throw it on 'em!
Lycanthrope's Tome - Increased chance of encountering mythical creatures in explore for 30 steps.

July:

Dog Tag - Use this 'coin' as a fake WolfParty token! There is a catch though.... You can only receive dog based pelts!
Good Boi Badge - Increase the disposition stats by random amount.
Sunscreen - Changes wolf's base coat to a different colour (randomly selected).
Umbrella - Gives your explore team a boost during certain weather events.
Dog bed - Your entire pack heals 50% faster for 1 day.
June:
Cauchemar: drops a soul of a voodoo witch - When given to a female wolf it increases chance at a boost pup by 30%
Axeman: Cursed Axe
-Increase chance of landing a critical hit for 20 steps
Zack (Bowden): Addie's locket +15 maternel and charisma
Vampire: Vial of Vampire Blood- certain amount of steps causes wolf who takes it to heal as they wound/kill their enemy
The Grunch: Grunch horn
- giving this to your wolf increses ther battle stat by 20
December:

Krampus - Drops a Lump of Coal. Apply to a pregnant wolf for increased chance of a pelt defect.

Perchta- Drops Perchta's Feather. Changes a wolf's disposition to Obedient.

Yule Lad- Cinnamon Stick Bundle -Burn at the alter and gain random amount of cp to a random wolf in your explore party

Père Fouettard- Père Fouettards Whip: Give to a wolf, increases battle by 10 CP. 25% Drop Rate

Gryla: Gyla's Cauldron - This item can be used to give 10 points of perception to your wolf

Some new pelts were added (probably missed something):

Bloodborn (January Exclusive Revamped)

Yggdrasil (February Exclusive)

Niamh (March Exclusive)

Harvest (April Exclusive)

Quasar (Legendary, FMC shop)

Dark Heart (June Exclusive)

Firefly (July Exclusive)

Plague (August Exclusive)

Spectre (October Exclusive)

Oillipheist (November Exclusive)

First Snow (December Exclusive)

Peppermint Bark (December Exclusive)

Questions:

I don't think there's a popular high talent stud right now, but I also don't breed as much. There isn't another Buffy or Ghostface right now though.

Sorry this is so long, a lot happened and this is what I remember and saw when going through old news. If you have questions, feel free to pm me.
Explore
.
For explore and BE training, the lower forest levels were apparently previously bugged, so they gave players too many predators for such a low level. Since Eve fixed that, the amount of BE a wolf can get in the low forest levels is a lot less, so BE training has changed a lot. Everyone has a different way of training now and it is generally more expensive or longer since it takes more time to get to death grip. That being said, if you are still looking for a level to train one trainee on, Forest 1 and 2 are still good in compared to other replay levels, but if you have more than one and mushrooms for health potions, top levels of any terrain tippically give more BE overall.
.
Pursue. I don't quite remember when this was added, but it is newer, so if you know about this one feel free to just skip this paragraph. There is a new battle move that all wolves have from the start that can stop fleeing enemies from leaving the battle. The wolf is better at it the better disposition they have and the more agility they have. Having just one good pursuer on a team is usually fine, but if you have more valuable prey like event bosses, putting more wolves on pursue can be helpful.
.
Manage explore teams page update. This one is small, but now at the bottom of the page, you can change the battle moves or explore status of any wolf in an explore team quickly and even change more than one at a time through the new list of wolves at the bottom of the manage explore teams page. Also there is new info listed by wolf names when they are in an explore teams.
.
Key binding. There is now key binding in explore, so if you are on a computer, you can now use the arrow keys or wasd or ijkl keys to navigate.
.
Gullin's Quests. This is basically a quests revamp. Under realm and Gullin's Quests you can now accept quests and switch them out 3 times a day instead of the game just giving you random unrefusable quests on the side bar. The rewards are also better than before with wolf play tokens and more mushrooms being common rewards. It is kind of hard to summarize all of it, so I recommend just exploring that page since it has its own instructions.
Breeding
.
Pack inbreeding. You may have already noticed this, but now any wolves can breed with eachother in your pack, not just the alphas.
.
High talent stud question. There is not really a high talent stud right now, but the market is still there. The last one died not too long ago named Ghostface. I think there are some players saving up to make another one, but no one has yet.
.
Pelt inheritance. A minor change that makes it a little easier for pups to get pelt colors of any kind from parents.

Random
.
These are just some small things. There is an encyclopedia of stuff now from NPCs to relics under help. Events have been added to a lot, so there will probably be some new things and enemies to find in each one. Shiny junk was apparently bugged so you couldn't find it in explore, so now you will find it much more often. The currencies on the top bar are now links to their respective shops. The daily cp had a boost so now there is more every day. The PvP inactive timeout is now 5 minutes not 15.
.
This one isn't quite what you asked for, but I thought it might be helpful Since you are premium, dominance staggering is free to you, found at the bottom of the den page, you can automatically stagger dominance of all wolves, but you may lose a little dominance since it resets all your wolves dominance then adds it back starting at 190 and staggering it.
.
There is a new rule for art, this is copied directly from the news page:
"Regarding Reselling: If art is purchased with a no selling agreement then it can not be resold, otherwise it's ok. If you do not wish for your art to be resold please include a No-selling Clause."

I will say that there are a couple of studs that are new and have 200+ talents, I personally won't make another high talent stud for another 2-5 months, but I do want to do it again- so it's likely to happen but I can't quite say when.

stud #2
