Cawls is really disappointed in his genetics. He’s not the tallest creature in the world, one could even call him petite. But of course, not in front of him. Standing at the short height of a foot to the withers, this poor fellow received this unfortunate stance from his grandmother and his lowered body causes him to seem fatter than what reality is. His thickness does not help. He has a sloping, curved chest that is covered in a down of fluff that is beneath a water resistant coat. His body type is low and it sort of leans to the chubbier side naturally. He is actually fluffy and this makes up a lot of what is assumed of his “rotund” shape, even though he is a piggy. However, he is of a healthy weight. An interesting and important shape to him is that he is long, a trait that he gained from his PWC and Basset Hound ancestors. His tail takes after the PWC the most, as it is fluffy, long and it curls up over his back. His fluffiness is in between that of a PWC and Samoyed. His ears are short, floppy and hairy; it’s shape very similar to a Bulldog’s. His head shape is foxy in appearance, but the muzzle is slightly longer.
His fur coloring takes after his great grandpa who takes most credit for the funky eyebrows he got over his eyes. The first base is a white that particularly sticks out on his chest and rear buns. The later is something that he is actually quite embarrassed about, so he sits whenever he particularly feels sensitive. The second layer is like a cloak and hood of dark brown that looks like black, but it shines as a copper. This cloak goes over his head, cowling his eyes, cheeks and right ear. The cloak parts drapes down his back so that his elbows, knees and most of his tail are covered. Then he has some little brown markings that are painted over each rich earthy eye onto his eyebrows. The one on his left is a bit larger and looks like the job was done by a sleepy artist because it drips down a little bit on the tear duct side of the eye. There are some of the same chocolatey brown coloring that splashes itself onto his white muzzle, especially where his large, black nose is. Then there are some small, teeny tiny freckles of the same brown that appear on his upper face and gums. A large patch of this brown interrupts of the carpet of super dark brown on his back as it is in the perfect midsection. His feet are white, but a couple toes share the same freckles as his face. The tip of his fluffy tail is white, like a painter’s brush.
Personality:
•Proud •Sensitive •Piggy •Easily Embarrassed •Occasionally Tense •Insecure •Friendly •Barely Optimist •Hardworker
He is proud and sensitive. His pride is in his work and pack. He likes to be at his best and he believes that he knows his limits. He, however, has a lot to learn. He’s proud that his pack has survived throughout many different difficulties and the wild. Especially when a majority of them were originally not made for the rough life of the wilderness. He is sensitive about his height and length and whenever it is mentioned he gets a bit cross. He hasn’t learned to roll with these punches and a main reason why is because he is a pack animal. He doesn’t like to be different from the others, being long, short and chubby looking. He does not like his markings at all. His bottom buns are white while he got this quirky black patch on his back and it’s just so horrific. He can be very tense at times.
He is a piggy and likes his food. He isn’t food aggressive, but he’s definitely more prone to that rather than a dog who only eats to live. He can definitely be selfish over it and will probably eat more than his share if allowed. He drools whenever it is time to eat, but he tries to keep it inside his mouth. Unfortunately, it does not work most of the time. He can easily get embarrassed, but it isn’t well hidden. His facial expressions express it and if he was a human, he’d be a tomato red.
Because he is insecure about his body, he can be nervous about socializing. He has a very sociable manner and he likes other dogs, but he is scared that they won’t like him. So whenever he talks to someone else, he usually always sits or tries to turn his bottom away from what they could see. Once they’ve hung out together and he knows that they’ve seen his buns, he relaxes. He usually avoids some dogs that have an intense and sort of aggressive air around them due to fear and that they might persecute him. He usually hangs around the more open and outgoing ones, but he does like to talk to the more soft spoken dogs too.
He is usually a cheery dog whose tail is usually wagging, but his optimism is almost overcome by his pessimism. He likes to chase animals and occasionally an instinct tells him to nip at the heels of other dogs. He has control over this most of the time, but occasionally it pops out just as it did when he was still an unruly child. He does like to dig and it’s one of his favorite past times. Especially in the summer, it’s nice to lie in a nice, freshly dug hole under the shade of a tree. He is not fond of water and he prefers to avoid any puddles that he might encounter. It’s not a fear. He’ll cross a body of water if he must, but certainly while complaining about getting and being wet and cold.

Other:
His foxy head shape plus his lengthy muzzle makes him perfect for snapping and biting at things. He particularly would be good at herding livestock, particularly cattle as he is the type to get overzealous in his biting, causing the tenderer ankles of a sheep to bleed.
