Andy, you could put it into view>den card explore or den card stats then just under it at the top it'll tell you how many wolves you have. Then scrolling down to the very bottom it'll tell you how many slots are open

You can find panda and stellars jay in the mountains (familiars)
Oh and you can find gorilla and quetzal in the jungle (familiars)

You can find ibex in the mountains (prey)
Red foxes and Grizzly bears in the mountains (enemy)

Hope this helps (I've found the mountain enemies in the first three levels so far but I'll add if I find new stuff in the higher levels)
