Bit confused on his stance though, by not supporting I assume he won't speak up in their name or help them achieve their community goals, but he would still be kind and help them based on the fact they are human and if they don't do anything to harm anyone they don't deserve and hate or violence :3 ? Though being a bystander is not always the best, we each choose our battles and not making things worse is also helpful I'd say But all in all I can respect a person who can trstuff cheeks others with kindness even if they do not understand everything about them ^^
P.S. Also supporting LGBTQ+ became somewhat complicated in recent years I'd say, I am not very involved, but I read and learn about it. And some of latest happenings in America is something like "drop the T" idea where LGB part of community wants to separate themselves from other letters based on differences in percieving gender and sex (as physical trait not activity). Just a brief idea of why it is like that: by discussing gender as something fluid and not defined by physical attributes it is somewhat difficult to define terms such as lesbian, gay and bisexual because, let's take lesbian as example, a person who is a lesbian is a woman attracted to other women. Seems simple enought till you come face to face with inesttity politics where definition of women is not clearly defined - is it body, is it mind, can someone be fluid, can someone be both genders, can someone have no gender? And that makes it harder to determine term lesbian that resides on term woman. Plus attraction is combination of how much you like someones body on the outside and how much you like thier personality - so let's just say that how some people prefer curvy women over slim ones and vice versa simply based on height and fat, in similar fashion if lesbian is only attracted to female genitals she won't be interesed in having relatinionship with transwoman (someone who does not have female genitals, they can get surgery to alter what they were born with {male genitals} but it is risky operation with results different from standard female genitals). And things are way more complicated for some trans people can call those leabians out as fake lesbians cause they are not attracted to all women (though that is kind of status quo, even hetero people are not attracted to all humans of opposite gender) and bi vs pan debates on who is what ehhh, but there ^^""" just to give you basic idea on why "drop the T" is a thing. Plus just like any movement, the more popular it is, the more likely it is to attract attention seekers, manipulators and those who like to crstuff cheekse noise or trouble for everyone involved :( just bad tomatoes that are sometimes, sadly, the loudest with some considerable power
