yeah fair enough. i do recommend using breeding items though, they can really help!

@ezra Ik it’s pretty good just really want a bit higher and just a bit disappointed I can usually get 100+ talents but it’s been so hard to get that talent with good rarity as well

there's a relatively low chance that any given talent will be inherited, especially without items. 130t is pretty good honestly

They can, but for crystallines the parents have to have the same exact pelt and even then I think the odds are like 10%. I've had females that I breed every year and never get a crystalline pup.

Makes sense now, I'm going to get off now and read, I've got 5 days left on 5 different books from the library and 19 days on 2 books I've been waiting on since February (November actually but I couldn't read them in time and then had to wait even longer)
KittyE WP math... It's a bear trying to get good pups and then you get good pups way later when you're not even trying 🤷

And sadly this wasn’t the only wolf he was bred with it’s been 3 different breeding like this

Im so confused how do I breed a wolf with 17r and 234t with a 66r and 1000+t and come out with not a single pup over 130t and 10r

wait, can pups not inherit dyed coats?

Eye, it's like all rectangles are squares but not all squares are rectangles?
 Sateda
09:49:52
It's a little better since dyes are easier to get but I really wish it was expanded so you could breed to any crystalline wolf and potentially get a pup.
 Moonfall

Sateda
Well that makes sense
 Eye of Eternity

because greyscale is technically monochrome

Inbreeding has no effect on gameplay, whatsoever.

This was really helpful! My Alpha male has Hyposmia and i was wondering why his perception wasn't able to have as high CP as the rest of my wolves. Thank you!

I have a question, even if the parents, or his grandparents and so on, don't have defects, are certain defects still common with a mating pair? Because with my starter wolves, I had 2 liters, and 1 pup from both liters had a defect, or was that just by chance?

There is a chance that the puppy can have a defect, regardless of its bloodlines. The two defected puppies your female had were just chance and coincidence :)

Most people think if there is a defect in the bloodlines (like a mela grandparent), the puppy had a higher chance of having that defect. I think this is misinformation, however.

I have an idea for some new birth defects:

Splayed paw
Missing tail
One eye

Sounds exactly like the defects of the main characters in the book series, Wolves of the Beyond.
XD

But those are great ideas.

The paw thing is from the book, but I don't know about the other two

I feel like inbreeding should make your pups more likely to get defects, I feel like that would really change the game, people who want defects could inbreed, and those who don't shouldn't breed siblings.

Crystalline Wolves-- And the people who don't care about inbreeding and don't want the hassle?

There is a reason why these suggestions are automatically shot down. :-)
