My wolves keep repeatedly missing or dealing only 1 or 2 damage to the squirrels I find in explore, even though I was defeating them in just one turn yesterday haha, and the squirrels are dealing around 10 damage? and the battle log says things like "[wolf] admires [squirrel]'s thighs" and "[squirrel] flexes their sweaty muscles and throws nuts at [wolf) to deal extra damage]"

Would everyone live on or near the ranch? I would assume so since they will be working with their horse and trying to solve the mystery of the missing rancher.

Yes! It's up to you whether or not your character lives on the ranch or outside of it. As of right now, the rancher is still there. They won't go missing until later. :3

But the kids who live on the ranch live in ramblers (aka little houses kind of like dorms but single-wide trailers that they call ramblers) which are divided by gender and, depending on how many kids there are, age as well.
