| Caladine | Light elf | Daztan | M: All slightly |
Daztan was home to many strange creatures, creatures that could shoot fire from their finger tips or fly without thinking. But the most extraordinary creature was the dragon. Everything on Daztan got its power from the dragons, and the dragons kept the balance, but things have been stirring, bad things with evil intentions. There are nine kingdoms and eight dragons. The central kingdom, the one ruled by elves, is the protector of the dragon eggs, but two have gone missing. The last six can’t hatch without their bonded one, but the bonded have no clue that Daztan exists. And one man is challenged with bringing them together, and making them a team.

“Caladine!” A half circle table sits in the grand hall of the central castle, representatives from every kingdom are there eyeing one singular elf who stood in front of them confidently.

“You have been chosen to retrieve six of the fallen, you will do what you must to get them here.” Caladine, a tall slim elf with long white hair and pointed ears nodded like a soldier would their commanding officer. His inhuman yellow-green gaze plastered to the woman giving him his order. A smaller creature with a hunched back and and furry limbs hurried to Caladines side, and holds a tray above his head. Six letters sit on the tray, each with different colored seals.

One a dusty red with rocks on it. Rosans Kingdom

One a silver grey with blue bits. Jyros Kingdom

One a deep blue with coral on it. Wenuas Kingdom

One a bright white with an icicle. Snydas Kingdom

Another an electric blue with gold. Eilos Kingdom

The last a deep flat black. Klyrans Kingdom

Each seal was unique to the kingdoms and dragons, but they all said the same thing.

Greetings (Name),

I regret to inform you that the Daztan realm requires your assistance. There will be much to learn and more to find, please waste no time, your dragon and the world of Daztan needs you. We apologize for the short notice and hope this is not an inconvenience to you.

The Council

“Caladine you will be the one to deliver these letters, no matter where the humans are in their realm you will find them. Find a way to get them the letter then leave at once, back to Daztan.

Once each has read the letter and closed it back up, a portal will open, they will have ten seconds to step inside, or it will just take them. It sounds harsh I know,” the Councilwoman said when she saw his face turn down in a small frown. “but it is necessary. There are a few of them that are either too smart, or too stubborn, to step in on their own. Once they are teleported through to our realm they will be in the fields of Arbetrum.” A small smile crossed the elf’s face. He loved those fields. They were vast and seemed to go on for days. The grass was a lovely blue green color and the flowers were more abstract there than in any other place on Daztan. The creatures there were also very different some large and some small, but they all worked in a perfect circle of life.

“I will bring them home, council. It is my duty” he turned and left the castle, a feathered horse looking beast waiting for him outside. The animal had a beak for a nose and it’s mane was more of a crown of feathers. He took off at a gallop, determined to bring the not so human humans home.

Raven | 18 | Female | Bisexual | M: Caladine

It was late in the evening, the sun had started to set in the city. While everyone else was settling in for the night Claire, or Raven as she preferred to be called, was just setting out for the night. She didn’t go by raven because of some identity crisis or because she hated her name, she quite liked it actually. But all of her past families had used it as something to drag Claire do this, Claire do that, Claire be better. She hated it. And she had always had a ring with a raven in it so that’s what she went by.

The night was crisp and cool and her long black hair fluttered lightly in the wind. She was walking down an ally way now, hands in pockets and hood on. Her steps were sure and her shoulders were square. Even as confident as she looked she always kept her gaze low, afraid to make eye contact with those around her. She passed druggies and drunks, but her step never faltered. She had a destination and a job to do, and nothing was going to get in her way.

As she walked she felt the unmistakable feeling of someone watching her. For a split second her step slowed, and she thought she felt someone behind her. Quickly she turned around knife in hand to see..nobody. There wasn’t a soul in sight and the purple eyes girl drowned in confusion. She closed the knife and gazed around a moment longer, were those cat like yellow eyes staring at her from a window? She blinked and they were gone. Huffing she turned around and continued her walk.

Stuffing her hands back in her pocket she felt something that hadn’t been there before. Pulling it out she looked at it. A neatly folded letter with a black stamp on it sat in her hands. A light post was up ahead and when she made it there she stopped and leaned against the wall. Glancing around to make sure no one was around she opened it carefully. The paper was thick and quality, for some reason that make her angry. Once it was opened she read it carefully

Greeting Claire Evangelical Lightheart,

I regret to inform you that the Daztan realm requires your assistance. There will be much to learn and mor to find, please waste no time, your dragon and the world of Daztan needs you. Our apologies for the short notice and hope this is not an inconvenience to you.

The Council

A small snort came from the purple eyed girl. Dragons? Different realms? Yeah right. Someone was playing a trick on her and she wouldn’t give into it. She tossed the letter down and continued on. The letter folded itself nicely on the ground, then a swirling purple and black portal appeared. She stopped and looked on in awe. She stood there for a moment insure of what to do. Then it sucked her in and she was out of the darkness and in a purple pool for a split second.

Everything was bright. Birds, no wait..flying lizard..things fluttered around. The soft grass was blue and seemed to stretch on for days. It reached up to her mid thigh. Her hands glided across the top. Her eyes darted around as she looked for something, anything that would give her a clue as to where she was. A sixth sense told her to turn around. A man stood behind her, or at least he looked like a man, his ears were pointed and his hair was almost as long as hers, except his was a white blonde color. His yellow-green eyes seemed familiar to her.

“Welcome home Raven”

Avyiia Yatiaan | 23 | Female | M: No One Directly

Avyiia had been trying to have fun that evening. Trying to relax and enjoy some time with her friends. But, she’d gotten off work late, having been stuck with every menial task her more experienced coworkers could pawn off on her. As was the joy with being the youngest member of staff and not yet as educated as her fellows. So, exhausted, annoyed, and wanting more than anything else to let go of the stress of her workday, she had texted apologies to her friends for her lateness, promised to meet them as soon as possible, and drove herself back to her apartment.

No sooner than she had parked, Avi was out and climbing the stairs up to her third-floor home. She quickly ascended the concrete steps, unlocked the door, and pushed it open with her hip. It was a fairly small home, as she was saving up to afford to travel more. Eventually, she figured she would need to afford a home, but with her perpetual state of wanderlust, she cared more about being able to travel than about not needing to pay rent. And, even before that, Avi needed to worry about getting through school.

She tossed her bag onto the living room couch and immediately went to her room to get ready. She changed out of her button-up blouse and slacks, showered quickly, and styled her long brown curls into an elegant style. Her thick, often unruly curls had been fairly cooperative today, so it took her a relatively short time to put into an elegant style, mostly loose and flowing, but a part of it was braided into a crown style around the sides of her head, and a singular, large braid down her back.

Her style, when it was her own and not her work uniform, tended to favor black, and this particular get-up was a prime example of her style. A tight black dress, simple but elegant, with her blue eyes surrounded by dark eyeshadow and thick liner. She selected a pair of knee-high, black boots, the stiletto heels of which added a few inches to her height.

Her jewelry consisted of silver, with a pair of small sapphire earrings she’d received recently as a graduation gift, a few simple silver rings, and a simple silver pendant with a black center stone. That she’d worn for as long as she could remember. It was a simple piece, but she had never taken it off. In all honesty, she’d never been too fond of it, as the stone had always given her a strange feeling when she looked at it. But, she had been told all her life that it was a trinket from her birth family, and it was important that she never took it off. So, like the good little girl her parents thought she was, Avi wore it.

Eventually, and after receiving a few questioning texts from her friends, she emerged from her room. She responded telling them to come pick her up, and went to her living room. She dropped onto the couch for a few minutes to wait for them when something caught her eye. Her gaze dropped to the coffee table, where there sat a letter.

Where did that come from?

She did a mental restep for a moment. Had it been there when she walked in? She had not been paying attention, but she did not believe it had been. It certainly had not been there that morning. Strange. After a moment’s hesitation, she reached out to grab the letter, and opened it. She found herself pacing across the room as she read the single, small paper within it.

Greetings, Avyiia Yatiaan

I regret to inform you that the realm of Daztan requires your assistance. There will be much to learn and more to find, please waste no time. Your dragon and the world of Daztan needs you. Our apologies for the short notice, and we do hope this is not of any inconvenience to you.

The Council

Avyiia raised an eyebrow and murmured a soft “What?”

Whatever this is, it’s not funny.

Her phone went off once more, and when she looked at it, it held a simple message from one of her friends stating that they were here. Lovely. So, though she was confused and mildly annoyed, she simply tossed the note onto her kitchen counter, and got ready to walk out the door. That was, until a strange light shone on her from where the letter had landed. She turned to look at what had happened, and saw a glimmering vortex of black and purple in her kitchen, something that looked as though straight out of a fantasy novel.

“What…the fuck,”
