| Grey Nope! In the Legend of Sleepy Hallow, his head is buried, and they have to find it and give it to him, so he'll stop taking others heads. If you notice, in Sleepy Hollow, he rides around with a Jack'o'Lantern until he finds a victim. In the original folklore, he carries his own head, and the only time he doesn't is when he takes others heads so they'll have to suffer like him. He kinda just does it for the hell of it :/ But, it's commonly mentioned in several different versions of the tale that his head was taken off by cannon fire during a war. |

| Saint If I'm not mistaken the headless horseman was a fairly high ranking soldier during the Revolutionary War. He had at least some semblance of a brain, or a parasite of sorts. |
