(so fucking happy rn dudes) remi | f | three years | mentions; riley flames blew against remi's face as she kept low to the ground, wanting to help and save the other cats she'd known, but she knew she couldn't. remi ran, she ran as fast as she could. the yowls she heard coming from the place she'd call home stayed with her, repeating over and over again nonstop. she felt her eyes water a bit as she found a nearby bush, safe enough to stay in for a while. riley. all she could think about was riley. the cat who raised her, he taught her all she'd ever known. letting out a loud meow, calling for him while desperatly looking around, trying to find him. all of a sudden she had seen a flash of black and white run towards her. it was riley. "riley!" remi yowled, waiting in the bush for the leader of the group. inspecting his body carefully making sure he was okay, she gave him a couple licks on the head and quickly asked, "who else is okay?" she knew a more than a couple of cats had to be okay. riley replied with, "a couple more, but remi, we have to go! the fire will spread and we will end up like the rest of us." remi said nothing and nodded, turning around and starting to trot away to an even safer area, letting out a few yowls here and there to allow the other cats to know where she is. as she found a safer area, she sat down while wrapping her tail around her body, watching the only place she had ever known go up in flames. 𓆩♡𓆪 riley | m | six years | mentions; remi riley was in shock. he couldn't move, all he could do was sit there and watch flames terrorise his home. the painful meows and cries of pain he heard coming from his family had reminded him that he needed to leave. riley looked around, trying to find a place where he could safely exit. as soon as he saw a little area that was safe to follow, he ran as fast as he could. he heard remi howling, which scared him lots. where is remi? remi remi remi. where is she? fuck riley, find her now, he said to himself in his head. worried about the girl he found only a couple of years back. riley had finally spotted remi's beautiful coat colours and automatically ran towards her, letting her inspect him as he did the same. he could hear the fear in remi's voice, he felt it too. rem asked him quickly if any other cats made it out alive, but he knew they had no time to waste. "a couple more, but remi, we have to go! the fire will spread and we will end up like the rest of us." he huffed, pointing his tail to the opposite direction of the fire as remi walked fastly away, hearing her verbally look for her family, riley followed after her, comforting her as she sat down, watching their only shelter burn down. |

riley| m| six years | mentions; remi, milton riley was fixing up remi's fur as another cat had stumbled upon them. the black smoke had kinda reached them, and since riley's eyes were more sensitive, he couldn't see well. "are you okay? did you get hurt?" he asked the other cat like the leader he was, wrapping his tail around remi's body. remi had sat there quietly, not saying a word though she knew who he was, it was milton. remi only had spoken to milton a couple of times, due to riley's selfishness over her. remi's whole life, riley treated her like she was his daughter. he then had realised it was milton, a cat he was good friends with. "milton!" riley greeted him, looking over his body and making sure not even a fur was discoloured. "i'm glad you're okay, i don't know what'd i do if you got hurt" |

Cinder | F | 2 years Cinder awoke to the acrid smell of smoke filling her lungs. She coughed and jumped up from where she was lying. Cinder knew this was a fire, when she was a kit her mother had told her stories about huge fires that burned whole forests to the ground. This wasn't one of those, no it was much smaller, but still deadly. Cinder had always wondered what fire felt like, she wasn't dumb enough to touch it though no matter how curious she was. A loud crash sounded above her and debris fell down blocking her path. She was trapped. Cinder desperately tried to find a way out. Above the roaring flames she could hear a loud meow coming from outside, she meowed loudly hoping someone would hear her. It was doubtful, she knew more cats were in the homes near her as she could hear yowls of pain. She closed her eyes trying to focus on getting out. Her lungs burned from breathing in the smoke, and her eyes watered, every breath was painful, but Cinder knew she had to keep going. She took one leap and managed to get over the debris, stumbling as she did. Cinder ran as fast as she could trying to escape the flames. Her home was burning, it was going to be gone, everything she had loved, destroyed. She made it out just in time as behind her the entire structure had collapsed, taking whatever cats were still inside with it. Cinder ran until she saw other cats who were in a clearing. She reached them and collapsed, breathing heavily, she didn't feel like speaking to anyone. I don't feel like myself right now.. she thought as she curled her tail around herself. It was true, she didn't feel like her energetic self, she just felt scared, scared of what had just happened and scared of what lay ahead. |

remi | f | 3 years | mentions; milton, riley, cinder remi saw as a tabby cat stumbled apon the group, she looked tired and not as well as milton or riley looked. rem just up and automatically tried comforting her to let her know she was okay. it was cinder. cinder was a very sweet cat and it hurt her to see her in bad condition. she started licking her fur, and telling her it was okay and she was safe now. remi didnt want cinder to be in pain anymore, so she began to do anything and everything she could to make sure she will be fine in the end. i guess you could say rem really cared about the people she lived near. almost each and everyine of them were kinda close, others werent. it was their choice obviously, and remi didnt really care. after all, she's only friends with certain people. |

| Corvus Male | Hunter | 5 | M: Open . His surroundings had matched his fiery coat of fur. His eyes were widened in disbelief and slight fear. But he knew, if he panicked, it would be much worse. The heat from the flames had warmed his body that was pressed to the ground. He had almost forgot that he wasn't alone. Corvus saw the other cats rush to safety, as he had to do the same. He snapped back to reality as he watched debris crash in front of him. The male jumped back before sprinting over it and darting as fast as he could. . He halted to a stop as he found himself near the other cats. Looking back, a saddened expression grew across his face. What he once called home was completely nothing now. Corvus didn't doubt they could find another home. It just simply broke his heart. The Abyssinian cat looked around to the others, observing if they had any injuries, before checking himself. Corvus obtained a slight scratch on his front left leg. It didn't hurt much so he didn't care for it. . Anxiety grew over him as he realized there were still more cats awaiting to get out. Corvus looked around, knowing they should be out any second. The male began to lick his leg as it did slightly bother him. He flicked his tail before looking to the others. Corvus couldn't explain the hurt he was in right now. The reflection of the flames had appeared in his emerald green eyes. The flames had appeared larger and larger each second. He was completely distraught by it. | |

(Sorry for posting so late) Spot | f |1year Spot was cuddling with her mom when the smell of smoke filled the air. She opened her eyes to flames all around her, MOM wake up Spot said as she woke up her mom. When her mom awoke they ran through the fire and smoke. When Spot got to the other cats she looked behind her and her mom wasn't there. Mommy, she said as she looked all around her and she wasn't there. Tears started to fill up in her eyes. M, mommy she said looking into the fire. Then it hit her, her mom was gone just like her dad who had left about a year ago. She looked towards remi, as if to ask what are we going to do now, all the while trying not to burst out crying or to run back into the blazing flames to try to find her mom. Remi was her mom's friend and she knew that if she needed anything she would be happy to help her but she just wanted her mom. |

Milton | Male | Three years Milton had to take a second to catch his breath; wheezing as if he'd just ran a marathon. He shook out his fur from head to tail, clearing himself of the dirt that weighted his body down. "Riley!" It was sort of relieved and surprised together- perhaps he wasnt expecting Riley to survive. He sat down next to the two, tail flicking with curiosity as the tabby stumbled upon. "Almost got trapped in the grocery. Didnt know the flames were there already." Milton's tone was sort of mad at himself, foolish for ever going inside anywhere. "Remi! I havent seen you in a while. Are you alright? Did anyone hurt you you?" That was gone, and it was now very concerned and curious, the tom getting up and trotting around Remi a few times to get a good look at her. .... Karen | Female | Twelve years Karen gasped as flames engulfed the doorway, them spreading like wildfire. She ran to the back door and out the cat door, limping with every half stride she did, meowing and growling about how her owners left and disturbed her slumber. The group of cats were easy to spot once she managed to get up onto the fence, the old cat hopping down with a thud and trotting over to them, not a hair out of place on her groomed body. Yeah, Karen was old and weaker, but she cat still yap and talk like her life depends on it. . Milton (cont.) Milton growled to himself as Karen approached. He hated that little old bitch with a passion, rolling his eyes. If it wasnt with Riley and Remi, he would be jumping at Karen and trying everything in his power to make her disappear. His paws shuffled trying not to pay attention. |

spot | f | 1 year spot saw Milton come up to the group so she wiped the tears with her paw making them slightly wet, she didn't mind though. She then went a few feet away from the group and sat down as Karen came walking up. She didn't know the cats very much but she did know their name and a bit of what they are like, and she knew Karen could be very annoying and mean but her mom tried to be nice to her so she would too, now that didn't mean that she liked her because she was quite annoying. Soon thoughts started to swirl around in her mind, about her mom and dad but she just wiped the tears away that had started to form and shook her head, reminding herself that it was going to be ok. Suddenly the crys of cats being burned alive reached spots ears, scared she slinked over to remi and sat beside her trying to block out the thoughts and screaming of the cats in the fire. |
