Someone mentioned that was like that for their desktop. It may need tweaking as it should only put the wolves at the bottom if you are on a phone using mobile view.

The main thing that threw me for a loop was having to make things function for so many different devices. Responsive coding is a lot different than making a static website.

We do have a test server, and I do test it there, but unfortunately sometimes things break when I put it into Prod.

Would it not have been easier to update when all of the code was ready instead of live testing? :0 Or would that have been hard considering the number of different code files and pathways?

One of the things I didn't mention is I have to update all the backend code that talks to the database to work with new libraries. So I'm doing front end and back end at the same time and for two games. So, it's been stressful.

No worries. I know people were not expecting change. And it's been pretty buggy. Now that dens and wolves are complete, the rest should be easier.

Luna and Shadow, the noble alphas of the Northern Star Pack, returned to their territory under the moonlit sky after a long and successful hunt. A sense of accomplishment mixed with exhaustion rushed through their veins as they approached their den hidden deep within the dense forest. Tonight, they were unaware that their lives would be forever shattered.
As they neared the entrance of their den, a chilling silence engulfed the air, interrupting the usual sounds of playful pups and the cheerful banter of the elders. An ominous presence hung in the atmosphere, causing a slight tremor in their hearts. Instinctively, they quickened their pace, driven by an unspoken fear.
Their worst fears manifested when they discovered their eldest pack member, Old Oak, lying lifeless on the cold ground beside their young and innocent pup, Mist. Shock and grief coursed through their veins as they knelt beside the fallen bodies, their powerful bodies trembling with sorrow.
Unable to contain their fury and agony any longer, Luna and Shadow raised their eyes and scanned the surroundings. And there, amidst the enshrouding darkness, they caught sight of a fleeting figure darting into the depths of the ancient trees. It was Crystal, a member of their pack, once a trusted ally turned traitor in an insatiable lust for power.
With a fierce determination igniting their eyes, the alphas bellowed their anguish into the night sky. The rest of the pack, already restless and ready to fight, gathered around their leaders, their loyalty unwavering in the face of this unspeakable betrayal. Resentment and an overpowering need for retribution dripped from their every pore, fueling their march towards justice.
The pursuit began under the watchful gaze of the moon. Luna and Shadow led their vengeful pack through the labyrinthine forest, their paws pounding the earth with such intensity that the ground quivered and trembled beneath them. Branches whipped against their fur, leaving faint scratches as they pushed relentlessly forward.
As the night unfolded, the pursued and pursuers emerged from the depths of the forest to reach the glimmering shores of a peaceful lake. Shadows danced upon the rippling water, mirroring the intensity of their pursuit. Unyielding, they forged ahead, their eyes locked on Crystal, who now stood exposed upon the slender bridge that spanned the serene oasis.
The moonlight cast its supernatural glow upon the scene, turning the world into a surreal vision of determination and resolve. Each breath, each heartbeat, synchronized as the alphas and their pack closed in on their prey, their growls bouncing off the surrounding mountains, communicating their unbreakable unity.
Crystal, sensing her impending doom, snarled defiantly, fueled by her thirst for power. Yet, in her eyes, flickered a hidden fear - a realization that the pack she once called family had become her enemies. Days and nights of treachery and manipulation had brought her to this pivotal moment, teetering on the precipice of her own demise.
With deadly precision, Luna and Shadow maneuvered themselves at opposite ends of Crystal, eclipsing her with their sheer presence. Their bodies quivered with rage as the time for vengeance drew near. Suddenly, the air crackled with a fierce energy, and an eerie wind howled through the barren mountainside.
In that moment, as if nature herself knew what justice needed to be served, the moon cast its ethereal light upon the ashen mountainside behind them. Scorch marks marred the land, haunting remnants of a past fire that had ravaged the very heart of their home. It served as a haunting backdrop against which the climax of their revenge unfolded.
With a coordinated attack, Luna and Shadow lunged with deadly precision, their powerful jaws a mere inch away from the traitor's throat. A collective gasp hung around them, frozen in time like a chorus of suspended breaths. Crystal fought back with every ounce of her remaining strength, determined not to go down without a battle.
But it was futile.
Luna and Shadow, the embodiment of the alpha spirit, were superior in strength and cunning. As they overpowered Crystal, once their sister in spirit, a primal roar of triumph erupted from their throats, piercing the night sky. The circle had been closed, justice had been served, and the pack would rebuild from the shards of betrayal.
As dawn began to break, the Northern Star Pack retreated from the smoldering mountainside, leaving behind the ashes of their shattered trust. Luna and Shadow, their regal coats shimmering in the pale light, turned their gaze towards the horizon. The world still held dangers, but they were unstoppable together. From the ashes, the pack would rise stronger, reclaiming their territory, and forging a future where unity would forever triumph over treachery.

Akela rips through the forest, her heart pounding in her chest, her paws pounding against the firm ground. Wind claws at her thick pelt, piercing her body and sending shivers up her spine. Her legs grow tired, and her paws feel sore and heavy with each step, each strained breath. She begins to slow, her legs refusing to carry her any further, Akela starts to stumble towards the ground, gasping for air. Suddenly, thump, thump, thump, the rhythmic sound of paws drumming on the forest floor. Adrenaline pierces through her frail body, and she jumps to her paws, taking a sharp turn and taking off through the thick underbrush again. Each step sends a piercing pain up her legs, she lets out a pained bark, her muzzle twists into a sour expression. Akela starts to feel herself leaning, she pushes on, her breath shaky, the ground grows closer and she feels herself fall.

Akela awakes to the soft sound of tapping claws, she opens her eyes slowly and takes a deep breath. Her head is pounding and her spindly limbs ache, all she can see is the faint gleam of light streaming in from the entrance of a den. But not hers, this den does not belong to Akela's pack. She bolts upward, the quick motion makes her vision blur and her head spiral. Her fuzzy gaze lands on a tall, wolf-like figure with pointy ears and a slim yet muscular frame. "Who are you" Akela stumbles to her paws and bares her teeth, wavering slightly as she tries to regain a steady stance. The wolf perks its ears and looks up, meeting her gaze with cold, harsh eyes. "I saved you, shouldn't you be grateful?" it growls in a deep tone, slowly rising to its paws, muscles rippling through its coat. Akela swallows hard, the wolf seems to be a male and a strong one at that. She draws her lips back further, puffing up her fur and steadying her shaky gaze. "I didn't know you saved me" she spat. "Why would you even do that?" she snarls, her tail swinging as she eyes the male. "Because, I know who you are, Akela".

Akela's legs buckle and she falls back on her haunches, relief washing over her as she recognizes his voice. "Caspian!" she gasps, her eyes widening as a large smile spreads across her features. "Goodness, you scared me!" she swats him gently with a paw. He grins playfully, stepping forward to touch his nose to her head. She leans forward into his body, slumping against his chest with a heavy sigh. "Tired?" he asks quietly, his gaze soft with a hint of concern. Akela nods, sliding to the den ground and resting her head on her paws. He wraps his body around hers, and they lay there silently, listening to each other's heartbeats as they drift off into a deep sleep.

Akela dreams of the previous chase, the huge wolves thundering after her… A few hours ago, Akela had accidentally intruded on a rival pack's territory while making her weekly trip to the clearing where she and Caspian meet. Caspian was a member of a third pack, not hers or their rivals. She and Caspian’s love was strictly forbidden, if caught, they would be beaten and thrown out of the pack for the remainder of their lives. They each took every precaution and only met during high moon when patrols were away from the dens and on the territory's border. The dream continues, the wolves grow closer, Akela yelps and falls, and her head hits the ground.

Akela jolts awake, panting, she bolts upright and takes a deep breath, her eyes wide in fear as a cold bolt shoots through her spine. Akela shivers and tries to lay back down, close her eyes, and go back to sleep. But, Caspian soon awakes with a deep grunt and pushes himself to his paws. He shakes his fur and stretches with a yawn. “Can you not sleep? Having dreams again?” he questions with a quilty frown. “Yes, but it’s not your fault, Caspian” she reassures him with a slight smile. Akela shakes out her pelt and turns to exit the den with a flick of her tail. Akela and Caspian silently wander through the forest, Akela slowly leads them towards their meeting spot, the clearing. The clearing is part of what the packs call the “flood grounds”. The lowest spots in the forest flood every ninth month when the flood waters come. This clearing is the absolute lowest and turns into a small pond every flood month. Caspian trots forward, passing her and taking a seat on one of the small grass patches littered across the dirt floor. Akela sits beside him, gently grooming her fur. “I can’t believe we’ve never been caught.” Caspian comments, raising his head to glance at the sky and the slowly sinking moon. Akela had been visiting him for eight seasons now, they were both too scared to leave their packs, so continued to see each other in secret. Akela nods in silent agreement, leaning against Caspian’s sturdy flank. Akela lets out a sigh she didn’t know she was holding and closes her eyes, listening to the sounds of the forest around her. Birds fluttering and chirping, foxes yipping and snarling, and paws ta-… wait, paws? Akela’s eyes fly open right as a wolf bursts through the clearing, hackles raised.

Akela’s tail shoots up, her hackles raise, and her lips draw backward into a nasty snarl. Caspian jumps to her side, tail swishing and muscles flexed, ready to pounce. The wolf suddenly pauses, its hackles drop, and it tilts its head in slight confusion. “Akela… Is that you?” the wolf questions. Akela’s eyes widen in surprise and fear, “Meli!?” she gasps.

Meli is Akela's best friend, they have stuck together through thick and thin, always trusting each other over all other wolves. When they were pups, Meli and Akela were inseparable, always playing together and even occasionally pulling some tricks on the elders. But, Akela had kept one secret from Meli, Caspian. Meli had no clue about them meeting up, and Akela had never thought that Meli would catch them together.

After many seasons of no conflict, Akela had become too comfortable with her trips across the territory and she realized that as Meli spoke. “I caught your scent on the east border… what are you doing here with him.” She snarls, her fur bristling and her eyes wide in a look of confusion and sadness. “Meli, I-” Akela stumbles for words, her head hung low in guilt. “I can explain myself” she whimpers, tucking her tail as Meli's snarl grows wider. “You know real well that this is strictly against the rules.” her voice drips with venom, Akela cowers under the stern tone. “Woah, woah, who are you?” Caspian speaks up, his gaze narrowing as he steps forward to cover Akela in a protective stance. “I’m her ex-best friend” Meli growls, tears welling in her eyes. “Why didn’t you tell me, Akela? I could have talked you out of it!” Meli cries, her ears pinned back. “Wait, wait, what!?” Akelas ears pin, her hackles rise, and her gaze narrows. “Talk me out of it?” she snarls “I thought you promised to support me!” she stalks forward, slamming her paws into the ground and jabbing a long claw at Meli. “And I thought you promised not to keep SECRETS!” Meli retorts, smacking Akela’s paw away and taking a step forward.

Meli is the first to pounce, she takes Akela by surprise and sweeps her off of her paws in one swift lunge. Akela counters her attack with a strong blow to the head, sending Meli tumbling off of her. Meli yips in surprise, stumbling to her paws and baring her teeth. Akela winces at Meli’s pain-filled yip, taking a step towards her, head hung low. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to-” Meli throws herself at Akela, clawing at her throat with a vengeful howl. Akela shrieks, withering in pain, her limp paws doing no damage as she pitifully swats at Meli. Caspian lunges forward in big strides, grabbing Meli by the scruff of her neck, picking her up, and throwing her small body across the clearing. Akela scrambles to her paws, blood staining her light coat as she wobbles over to Meli’s side. “What is wrong with you!” she cries, pinning her ears and lowering her tail. “This is your fault! Akela, how could you be so dumb!?” Meli shakes her head and pushes herself to her paws. “This fighting is pointless, I have no choice but to turn you in.” She shakes her head in disapproval, shooting one last stern glare at Akela before slipping through the trees and taking off through the forest.

Akela drops the the ground, tears welling up in her eyes as the strong feeling of betrayal overtakes her. Tears and blood gather into a pool at her paws, she lets out a sorrowful howl, letting it ring out through the forest. Caspian stands beside her, unsure what to do, he lowers his head to rest it on hers. “Akela, you’re wounded, let’s go back to the den and-.” “Just stop it Caspian!” she snaps, her once loving gaze turned cold. Caspian takes a step back, surprised by her tone. “Everything is over! Our relationship is over and done! My life, my pack!? Forget about it” she snarls. “Akela, please calm down, you don’t know what you’re saying.” Caspian tries a small smile and takes a step forward. Akela is quick to swat him away, “Please, stop! Just leave me alone.” She lowers her head, turns around, and runs back to the forest. Akela tears through the brambles and bushes, tears falling from her eyes as she runs off her frustration. She tries to leap over a log but, stumbles, and falls. Akela now crouches on the dense forest floor, weeping into the ground. She lays stays there, howling, and crying out her misery until she hears the unmistakable sound of paws drumming on the leafy ground once again. Five wolves burst out of the trees, surrounding her. She leaps up, turning her body in a slow circle as she views the wolves. Her alpha male, Damian, the two betas, Iris and Felix, her pack member, Cedar, and, of course, Meli. “Traitor!” Akela cries, pointing a claw at the dark-furred Meli. Meli snorts, a look of amusement spreading across her sly features. “Me? The traitor?” she chuckles, “Oh honey, last time I checked, you were the traitor.” Damian nods, stepping forward. “Akela, you have broken our third rule, luckily, Meli has rightfully reported you. I can smell that coward on your fur, so don’t try and deny it. You and your future descendants are hereby forbidden from ever stepping paw on this pack's territory. We will have patrols check the territory tonight, I suggest you leave while you can” With that, Damian signals to the others and returns to the forest, leaving Akela officially alone.

Akela has been wandering aimlessly through the forest for an hour now. Her head and tail hung low as she prodded on. Akelas eyes narrowed, her brows furrowed, she shook with rage and the strong, burning sensation of betrayal. Meli, her oldest friend, had turned on her in the blink of an eye. Akela wasn’t just mad at Meli, she was mad at herself. She acted so harshly towards Caspian and kept secrets from her best friend, her ex-best friend. She slams her paw into the ground, whipping around and snarling at a squirrel. The squirrel drops its acorn, puffs up its tail, and scampers up the tree. Akela digs her claws into the damp forest floor and begins to tear pieces of grass and dirt out of the ground, taking her anger out on the vegetation. Akela feels the strong need to end Meli and wipe that smug expression off of her dirty, old face. “I wish you would JUST DIE!” Akela yowls, kicking a chunk of dirt into a tree. “DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE!” Akela lets her angry howl carry through the forest, she falls into a crumpled pile beside the tree’s roots.

It’s the tenth month now, Akela woke this morning, her anger now turned to fury. She jumps to her paws and rips through the forest, trying to run her anger out. She can barely control her body, she feels half asleep and all she can hear is betrayal, kill her, end her, betrayer! echoing in her ears. Akela finds her legs carrying her back to her old pack, her nose desperately searching for Meli’s scent. “I've lost so much because of that brat! Caspian, my pack, and my best friend” Akela murmurs to herself, only urging her anger on. “There!” Akela skids to a stop, her head drops to the ground, her nose catching her scent. Akela’s eyes twinkle and a sly smirk spreads across her face. She runs towards the scent, “she’s close… she’s close!” Akela chants herself, her paws pounding on the ground, each sharp breath sending pure excitement through her pelt. Suddenly, Akela bursts through the tree line and skids to a stop. The black path… she thinks, the huge black pavement stretching out before her. She takes a timid step forward, determined to continue on but, she’s stopped in her tracks by two wolves emerging from the tree line opposite the black path. Caspian and Meli step out from the trees and sit next to each other on the edge of the grass in front of the black path. They don’t seem to notice Akela and begin to chat, smiling and nuzzling each other. Akela’s fur rises, she lets out a sorrowful wail, tears welling in her eyes “Caspian!?” Akela’s world is reduced to the two in front of her. The two wolves look up and spot her, Meli’s first expression is anger but it quickly turns into surprise. “Akela! Wacht-”. Akela turns her head the other way, shielding herself from the hurtful vision, thats when she sees it, the huge car thundering towards her. She growls in surprise, frozen in her place with true fear. Suddenly, she's hit with a strong pain, then… nothing. The car runs Akela straight over, her once beautiful, cream-colored coat is now stained blood red. Her body lays there for an hour before birds pick her apart down to bones and bloody fur. Akela is forever left on that road to rot in a strong feeling of pure betrayal.

Siren's Haunting Melodies
In the vast expanse of the ocean, where the waters shimmered with an otherworldly glow, Malikai Xiomara, a mesmerizing siren, glided gracefully through the depths. His tail, a masterpiece of nature's artistry, swayed with every movement, its hues of midnight black and captivating purples commanding attention. As Malikai swam, his voice echoed through the water, a haunting melody that carried far and wide. It was a song both beautiful and foreboding, luring unsuspecting humans to their doom. Above, aboard a ship sailing through the moonlit night, a group of travelers paused as they heard the enchanting melody drifting from below."What is that beautiful sound?" one of them wondered aloud, his gaze drawn to the dark waters below."It's mesmerizing... enchanting..." another murmured, leaning over the railing to peer into the depths.Unbeknownst to them, Malikai's song had already begun to weave its spell, drawing them closer and closer to the edge of the ship. Compelled by the siren's captivating voice, they moved as if in a trance, their eyes glazed over with a distant look."I can't resist... the music... it's pulling me in..." one of them whispered, succumbing to the irresistible urge to follow the source of the melody."I must follow... I must..." another echoed, stepping closer to the edge with a sense of inevitability. With a collective sigh, the travelers plunged into the water, their bodies disappearing beneath the surface as they surrendered to Malikai's song. He watched them descend, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of satisfaction and sorrow, knowing that their fate was sealed."Into the depths, they'll softly fall," Malikai sang softly, his voice a mournful lament that echoed through the water. "To join the lost, the cursed, the thrall. Their souls adrift in endless blue, their final fate, forever true."As the last of the travelers vanished beneath the waves, Malikai's song faded into the night, leaving behind only the memory of his haunting melody. With a heavy heart, he turned away, disappearing into the depths once more, haunted by the echoes of his own sorrowful song.
܀
"Into the depths, they'll softly fall," Malikai sang softly, his voice a mournful lament that echoed through the water. "To join the lost, the cursed, the thrall. Their souls adrift in endless blue, their final fate, forever true."
As the last notes of his haunting melody faded into the night, Malikai's heart weighed heavy with the burden of his actions. He watched silently as the travelers, ensnared by his song, plunged into the water one by one, their bodies disappearing beneath the surface without a trace.
But as the waters grew still once more, a sudden commotion nearby shattered the tranquil silence. A loud splash echoed through the water, followed by the panicked thrashing of a human struggling to stay afloat. Malikai's gaze snapped towards the disturbance, his heart sinking as he recognized the unfortunate soul caught in the grips of the ocean's merciless embrace.
It was one of the travelers who had succumbed to his song, their desperate struggle for survival a stark contrast to the serene beauty of the underwater realm. Malikai watched with a mixture of horror and helplessness as the human flailed in the water, their movements growing weaker with each passing moment.
But as Malikai prepared to intervene, his attention was drawn to another figure nearby. Caspian Roku, a striking merman whose appearance captivated the imagination, had emerged from the depths with an effortless grace that belied the chaos unfolding around him. With a mere glance, Caspian's captivating presence seemed to calm the frantic human, their struggles subsiding as if by magic.
Malikai's eyes narrowed as he watched Caspian approach the struggling human, his expression unreadable as he extended a hand in silent invitation. And with a sense of resignation, the human reached out, their fingers intertwining with Caspian's in a silent pact of surrender.
In that moment, Malikai knew the truth – Caspian, with his alluring beauty and enigmatic aura, was just as deadly as he was. But unlike Malikai, whose song lured humans to their deaths with haunting melodies, Caspian's mere presence was enough to ensnare them in a silent embrace from which they would never escape.
As the struggling human succumbed to the depths, Malikai could only watch in silent anguish.
܀
The weight of the truth settled heavily upon Malikai's shoulders as he hovered in the water, his gaze fixed upon Caspian. Anguish churned within him, mingling with a simmering fury that threatened to consume him whole. How could he have been so blind to Caspian's deception, to the deadly allure that lurked beneath his captivating exterior?
Caspian, oblivious to Malikai's inner turmoil, approached with a confident swagger, his eyes glinting with a mischievous gleam. "Well, well, well, look what we have here," he taunted, his voice dripping with smug satisfaction. "Another victory for me, it seems."
Malikai clenched his fists, struggling to contain the seething rage that boiled within him. "This is not a game, Caspian," he spat, his voice a low growl that reverberated through the water. "These are human lives you're toying with."
Caspian's lips curled into a mocking smirk as he circled Malikai, his movements fluid and graceful. "Oh, but it *is* a game, Malikai," he countered, his tone laced with arrogance. "And I'm winning. You can't deny it."
Malikai gritted his teeth, his hands trembling with suppressed fury. Caspian's taunts cut deep, reopening wounds that had never fully healed. The rivalry between them had always been fierce, a dangerous dance of power and dominance that fueled Malikai's every action. But now, faced with the reality of Caspian's ruthlessness, Malikai felt a sense of betrayal that cut to his very core.
"You think you're better than me, don't you?" Caspian continued, his voice a taunting whisper that echoed through the water. "But you're nothing compared to me, Malikai. Nothing."
The words struck Malikai like a physical blow, igniting a firestorm of emotion within him. His mind raced with a torrent of thoughts and emotions, each more tumultuous than the last. He wanted to lash out, to unleash the full force of his fury upon Caspian and prove once and for all that he was not to be trifled with.
But as he met Caspian's smug gaze, Malikai knew that succumbing to his anger would only play into Caspian's hands. He forced himself to take a deep breath, to regain control of his emotions before they consumed him whole.
In that moment, Malikai made a silent vow to himself – he would not let Caspian's taunts break him. He would rise above the petty games and prove himself worthy of the crown that awaited him. And when the time came, he would show Caspian that true power lay not in manipulation and deceit, but in strength of character and unwavering resolve.
With a steely determination in his eyes, Malikai faced Caspian once more, his voice firm and unwavering. "This is far from over, Caspian," he declared, his words a solemn promise that hung heavy in the air. "I will not rest until justice is served, and your reign of terror comes to an end."
Caspian's smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features before he masked it with his trademark arrogance. "We'll see about that, Malikai," he retorted, his voice tinged with a hint of defiance. "We'll see."
܀
As Malikai swam through the ocean, his mind consumed by thoughts of his rivalry with Caspian, he felt a restless energy stirring within him. The weight of their feud hung heavy upon his shoulders, driving him to seek solace in the depths of the ocean where he could be alone with his thoughts.
But as he traveled to another part of the ocean, far from the scene of his encounter with Caspian, Malikai's solitude was interrupted by the sound of approaching sailors. Their voices carried on the wind, mingling with the rhythmic lapping of the waves against the side of their ship.
Curiosity piqued, Malikai followed the sound, his heart pounding with anticipation as he caught sight of the vessel on the horizon. It was a majestic sight, its sails billowing in the breeze as it cut through the water with effortless grace. Malikai watched with a mixture of fascination and trepidation, uncertain of what awaited him on board.
As the ship drew nearer, Malikai felt a surge of power coursing through his veins. It was as if the ocean itself was urging him to act, to unleash the full extent of his abilities and claim his rightful place as the ruler of the underwater realm. With a sense of purpose burning bright within him, Malikai began to sing.
His voice echoed through the water, a wordless melody that stirred the depths of the sailors' souls. It was a haunting tune, filled with longing and despair, luring them towards Malikai with an irresistible allure.
The sailors, entranced by Malikai's song, followed its siren call without hesitation. They moved as if in a trance, their eyes glazed over with a distant look as they drew closer and closer to the source of the enchanting melody.
But as they reached out towards Malikai, their fingers brushing against the surface of the water, he unleashed the full force of his power. With a flick of his tail, Malikai sent a powerful wave crashing over the ship, engulfing it in a maelstrom of water and chaos.
The sailors cried out in terror as they were dragged beneath the surface, their desperate pleas swallowed by the unforgiving depths of the ocean. Malikai watched with a sense of detachment as they struggled against the currents, their bodies thrashing in a futile attempt to escape their watery fate.
And as the last echoes of their cries faded into the night, Malikai's song came to an end. He lingered in the water for a moment longer, his heart heavy with the weight of the lives he had claimed.
But amidst the darkness and the silence of the ocean, Malikai found a sense of peace. For in that moment, he knew that he was more than just a siren – he was a force to be reckoned with, a ruler of the depths who commanded the respect and fear of all who dared to cross his path.
܀
As Malikai made his way back home, his mind still swirling with the echoes of the sailors' cries, he was startled by the sudden appearance of Caspian. The merman approached with his characteristic grace, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"Well, well, well, look who it is," Caspian remarked, his voice dripping with amusement. "Fancy meeting you here, Malikai."
Malikai's gaze narrowed as he regarded Caspian, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features. "What do you want, Caspian?" he asked, his tone guarded.
Caspian's smile widened as he circled Malikai, his movements fluid and deliberate. "I couldn't help but notice you seemed a bit... preoccupied earlier," he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "And here I thought you were the one who always had the upper hand in our little game."
Malikai bristled at the implication, his pride stung by Caspian's taunts. "Our 'game' is far from over, Caspian," he retorted, his voice laced with defiance.
Caspian chuckled, unfazed by Malikai's defiance. "Oh, I'm well aware of that," he replied, his tone teasing. "But perhaps we could put our differences aside for a moment and... indulge in a different kind of competition?"
Malikai's brow furrowed in confusion, unsure of what Caspian was suggesting. But before he could voice his thoughts, Caspian leaned in close, his breath warm against Malikai's ear.
"Follow me," Caspian whispered, his voice sending shivers down Malikai's spine. "I know a place where we can be alone."
Without waiting for a response, Caspian disappeared beneath the waves, leaving Malikai to ponder his offer. Despite his reservations, a part of Malikai was drawn to the allure of Caspian's proposition, a tantalizing promise of forbidden pleasure.
With a sense of trepidation mingled with excitement, Malikai followed Caspian into the depths, his heart pounding with anticipation. And as they swam together towards Egen, their kingdoms looming in the distance, Malikai couldn't help but wonder what awaited them on the shores of their shared destiny.
But as they arrived in Egen, any thoughts of rivalry faded into the background as Malikai found himself caught up in the heat of the moment. In a secluded alcove hidden from prying eyes, Malikai and Caspian shared a passionate embrace, their bodies entwined in a dance of desire and longing.
The details of their encounter faded into the darkness, leaving only the echo of their whispered promises and the warmth of their fleeting connection. And as the night drew to a close, Malikai and Caspian parted ways, each carrying with them the memory of their forbidden fling.
܀
The next day dawned with a sense of anticipation in the air as Malikai ventured out once more into the vast expanse of the ocean. His mind was consumed with thoughts of the sailors he had encountered the night before, their haunting cries still echoing in his ears.
Determined to continue his quest, Malikai swam towards a nearby beach where he knew humans often gathered. The sun cast its warm glow upon the water, illuminating the shimmering waves as they lapped against the shore.
As Malikai approached the beach, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. Glancing over his shoulder, he spotted Caspian lurking further away, his gaze fixed intently on Malikai's every move.
Malikai's jaw tightened with a flicker of annoyance, but he refused to let Caspian's presence distract him from his mission. With a determined set to his jaw, he continued towards the beach, his eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of human activity.
As he reached the shoreline, Malikai spotted a group of humans lounging on the sand, their laughter floating on the breeze. Ignoring the prying eyes of Caspian, Malikai began to sing, his voice a haunting melody that carried across the water.
The humans, drawn by the enchanting sound, turned their attention towards Malikai, their expressions filled with wonder and awe. Mesmerized by his song, they waded into the water, drawn towards him like moths to a flame.
But as they drew nearer, Malikai felt a pang of guilt tugging at his conscience. He knew the consequences of his actions, the lives that would be lost if he continued to lure humans to their deaths. Yet, he couldn't deny the thrill of power that surged through him with each soul he claimed.
Pushing aside his doubts, Malikai continued to sing, his voice weaving a spell of enchantment around the unsuspecting humans. They moved closer and closer, their eyes glazed over with a distant look as they succumbed to Malikai's irresistible allure.
But just as Malikai prepared to unleash his power upon them, a sudden commotion broke the spell. Caspian had emerged from the water, his presence a jarring interruption to the scene unfolding before them.
Malikai's gaze flickered towards Caspian, his expression a mix of irritation and defiance. "What are you doing here, Caspian?" he demanded, his voice sharp with accusation.
Caspian shrugged nonchalantly, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "Just thought I'd see what all the fuss was about," he replied, his tone teasing. "But it seems I arrived just in time to spoil your fun."
Malikai's jaw clenched with frustration, but he refused to let Caspian's taunts get the best of him. With a dismissive wave of his hand, he turned back towards the humans, his resolve renewed.
Ignoring Caspian's lingering presence, Malikai continued to sing, his voice carrying across the water with an otherworldly beauty.
܀
The hypnotic melody swirled around the humans, weaving a spell of irresistible enchantment as they drew closer to Malikai. Their eyes glazed over with a distant look, completely ensnared by the siren's song. The waves lapped against the shore in rhythmic harmony, echoing the impending fate that awaited the unsuspecting souls.
Just as Malikai prepared to unleash the full force of his power upon the entranced humans, a sudden disruption shattered the serenity of the moment. Caspian, with a smirk playing on his lips, emerged once again, his presence a disruptive force that shattered the connection between Malikai and his prey.
The humans, freed from the enchantment, stumbled back from the water, their bewilderment turning to fear as they realized the peril they had narrowly escaped. Malikai's eyes burned with frustration, a seething anger directed at Caspian for once again meddling in his affairs.
"What is your problem, Caspian?" Malikai spat, his voice carrying the weight of pent-up irritation. "Can't you leave me be for once?"
Caspian chuckled, a mocking glint in his eyes. "Oh, Malikai, always so eager to play the victim," he retorted, his tone dripping with condescension. "I just thought I'd save these poor souls from a watery grave. You should be thanking me."
Malikai's temper flared, his patience worn thin. "I don't need your interference, Caspian," he shot back, his voice a low growl. "I had everything under control until you decided to stick your nose where it doesn't belong."
Caspian crossed his arms, an infuriating smirk still playing on his lips. "Control? Malikai, you're deluding yourself if you think this is about control," he scoffed. "You're no different from me – reveling in the power, the thrill of luring humans to their deaths. But at least I have the decency to admit it."
Malikai's eyes narrowed, his frustration boiling over into a tempest of anger. "Decency? You're the one who can't resist meddling in every aspect of my life, playing the savior when it suits you," he shot back, his words cutting through the air like a knife.
The tension between them escalated, the air thick with animosity as Malikai and Caspian faced off on the beach. The waves crashed against the shore, mirroring the tumultuous emotions that roiled within the two rivals.
"Maybe I just can't stand to watch you make a mess of everything," Caspian retorted, his voice a sharp retort. "You're so blinded by your own desires that you can't see the consequences of your actions."
Malikai's eyes flared with indignation. "Consequences? You're one to talk, Caspian. Your interference only brings chaos and confusion," he argued, his frustration mounting.

◢✥◣ Rules for the spirit realm ◢✥◣
Do you ever wonder what happens to a person in a coma? I'm here to tell you.
My name is Penelope and I have been in a coma for 1 year, 3 months and 24 days.
I didn't realise I was in the hospital until a couple weeks into the coma. It honestly felt like I was waking up normally when my soul opened my eyes. It wasn't until I tried talking to my parents that I noticed something was off. I looked behind to see that my body was still in my bed. I looked at my hands only to see them being transparent, almost like a ghost. I remember the rush of panic, much like you may feel.
-
Before we go any further, I want to clarify that us 'coma spirits' are not ghosts. The main difference is that we are alive (Obviously) and they are not. Another large difference is that we cannot go too far from our body or interact with anything around us that exists in the 'real world.'
-
Anyways, continuing with where I was, my initial thoughts where, 'What happened?' 'Am I dead?' I honestly couldn't remember what put me in this hospital, and I still can't. I probably won't until when, if, I wake up some day, much like you won't.
I wandered through the halls until I noticed somebody. This somebody seemed to see me. I still remember that sad look in their eyes.
"Can you see me?!" I had questioned them eagerly, hopefully.
The woman nodded. "You must be new. I haven't met you here before."
"New?"
"You've only recently become one of us."
"What do you mean by one of us?"
The woman sighed sorrowfully before responding, "A coma spirit."
"What? I-Is that what's happening?" I had questioned, panicked. She nodded in response.
"My name is Sabitha. I'm just like you."
My eyes had widened in pure shock. Not processing things quite yet, I fled. Somehow, I was crying. At some stage, I bashed into an invisable wall. The barrier. It traps us within 100 meters of our bodies.
-
It took me some time to get used to life here. I'd regularly visit my body, trying to get back into it for the first while. That's something I don't recommend doing. It's up to faith and the doctors when you're at this point. You've one foot in the living world and one in the world of the dead. I eventually stopped visiting my body until recently.
'Why start visiting it again?' You may question.
The doctors have finally said that I might finally wake up soon. I can't help looking for the signs. That's why I'm writing this. Every spirit will leave this state eventually, through death or life. I wish to help those who come after me.
-
If you are reading this, your body is in a coma. I have no idea if anybody will find this letter, but if you do, here's some advice.
1. Don't worry about when you'll wake up. You have no influence.
2. If there's any other spirits here at the same time as you, talk to them. They'll be your only company for the next while.
3. Don't panic if you start to fade. You're waking up.
4. Also don't panic if you seem to become more misty. Your body is dying. Just prepare yourself. You'll be safe now.
5. You won't remember this world or the other spirits if you wake up. This goes for the others as well. This is why none of the living know of this state.
-
As my final note, please add onto this if you discover anything new. I don't know if I covered everything.
Just remember: You've got this. You're gonna be okay, no matter what happens. Don't give up <3
- Penelope, your friendly neighbourhood coma spirit.

"Tell us a story, Luna!" Luna's only daughter, Sunny, asked the question she had asked every night. Beside her, her littermates and Luna's sons, Branch and Tick, looked at her eagerly. Luna's paws itched. She had told them a story every night for over a year since they were born, but yet, the biggest story was still unknown to them. "Why don't you choose this one?" Luna nuzzled Sunny's ears. Sunny had always been the natural leader and fiercest of the three. "Whatever you want to know." Sunny hesitated for a while and Branch jumped in. "Who was our father?" Sunny nodded along eagerly. Luna hesitated. This was the one story she had hoped would be kept secret forever. Yet, maybe her children deserved to know the truth behind their raising and what had happened to their pack. "Oh well," Luna settled down for the long story. "It began around two years ago, and I had went out hunting...."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(note, this is played as a flashback scene in storytelling mode)
Luna raced through the trees, with her mate, Sky, beside her. How she enjoyed hunting beneath her namesake! They had separated from her alpha and pack member, Badger and Bark, as they searched for scent trails. "Rabbit!" Luna hissed under her breath and stalked through the undergrowth. She heard Sky moving, but didn't check. She found a rabbit nibbling at some grass near an oak tree. She had prepared to pounce when a howl pierced the sky and the rabbit escaped. "Badger!" Sky's eyes were full of fear. Regaining her composure, Luna raced toward the sound of the howl, with Sky tailing not far behind. She entered a starry, moonlit clearing and couldn't believe what she saw. Badger lay on the ground, her body motionless and lifeless. She seemed as ready to hunt as she had been in life. Standing over her alpha, Luna noticed a strong stench of another wolf near the wounds. "Bark!" Sky came to the conclusion at the same time she did. "Bark couldn't have gone far. Let's find him." Luna ordered, feeling her rank as the new alpha appear. She quickly followed the scent trail and found a wounded Bark heading back to camp. "Where do you think you're going?" Luna kept her growl low, hoping to keep the other wolves out of it. Bark looked up in surprise. "I don't know what came over me." He stammered. "One moment Badger was alive and the next, she wasn't anymore." Luna glared at him, but then felt Sky's tail tip lay over her shoulder. "You may still live in this pack." Luna felt her hackles rise as she made sure the threat was clear. "But I will make one thing clear." She continued to glare at Bark. "From now on, you'll be known as Omega, never to be called your birth name ever again till death. This will be a lifelong punishment as you did what you shouldn't have." Luna paused. "And I will enforce it with the power that comes from your alpha female." Luna could tell Bark was hesitating, but surely there wasn't a choice? It was either that or being exiled, which no wolf could actually prefer. "Fine." Bark gritted out. "Alpha."
-----------
"Your alpha, Badger, has been found dead at our border." Luna's voice rang out across the clearing as she made her announcement to the pack. "As beta, I'll take over as alpha unless challenged." Luna paused, but no challenge came. "I'll make sure Badger's death is revenged, and I can only hope that I'll be able to follow our great leader's footsteps." Luna then stepped down from the rock. The meeting disbanded and a familiar albino wolf came up to her. "Hi, Steam!" She gazed admiredly at her brother, also the medic. "Alpha." Steam bowed. "You actually need to come see this. It's a cloud." Luna raised an eye at him, unsure what it meant. "It's actually a weird looking cloud." Steam struggled to explain. "Its shape is long and flat at the top and it's really tall. Unusual and unlike any cloud I've ever seen." Luna shrugged and followed her brother to where he had seen the cloud. Upon creating a hill, the breath was taken out of Luna upon the sight that greeted them. There was a huge cloud, nearly right in front of them. Unlike Steam, Luna recognized the shape. It was almost exactly like a mushroom! Luna decided right then that it would be forever known as a mushroom cloud. Suddenly, they heard thunder. "Get back to camp!" Steam howled. Together, brother and sister raced toward home. A powerful and heavy rain had begun to fall, drenching the pair. They finally entered camp, dripping wet. "Is everybody else here?" She demanded of the nearest wolf who nodded. Luna gave a sigh of relief before shaking herself off. "We'll never find Badger's body in this case." A wolf growled. "The rain will wash the scents, if not the body away." Luna nodded, dejectedly, recognizing the logic in the wolf's argument.
------
It was the next day and the storm had finally ended. Luna had trudged alone to the top of the hill where she had first seen the mushroom cloud with Steam. She had just had an argument with Sky, her mate, the night before and was looking for some downtime. As she gazed into the sky, she noticed something wrong. There were three suns, all shining bright across the sky. She stared at the three, all equal, though two were smaller, suns that had appeared out of nowhere. She must have sat there for hours, even after the two extra suns disappeared. Pondering what she had just saw, Luna returned to camp but immediately noticed something wrong. Gone were the playful sounds of pups, the complaints of elders, and the wolves in between. Luna entered camp, shocked. All around her, the bodies of her pack lay scattered, clearly a massacre.
------
Luna looked around her pups. "In hindsight, I wished I had stayed away forever. It was not worth it to discover the truth."
------
She noticed Bark was among the bodies, but there was one wolf missing, one wolf whose scent was scattered among the wolves. Sky. Luna raced across camp, tracking her former mate's scent. "Sky." She growled when she found Sky alone. "why did you do it?" Even as she said it, Luna knew it considered of two parts. That was why Bark was so confused. He had never been the killer and Luna had guessed wrong and paid dearly. "You were never going to be a good leader and Badger will never be truly prepared." Sky growled. "So I did what was best for the pack." "By destroying it? Go away, Sky, and never return, or your fate may be the same as those pack mates you abandoned." Luna turned and stalked through the undergrowth for a new home.
-------
"it wasn't until a few days later I realized I was pregnant. Not with Sky's pups but Bark's." Luna looked at her pups. "I'm not sure how it happened but after you were born that became apparent. Branch looks nearly exactly like Bark while Tick looks like me. Sunny, I named you because while you look like Bark, your eyes reminded me of the suns the day three became one." Her pups stared at her in awe. "Now you know the truth of why we're alone. I never saw Sky again after that day."

The ghostly figure appeared at the foot of my bed, its eyes pleading for something I couldn’t understand. Its ethereal form flickered, and I sensed a desperate urgency in its gaze as it stared at me with hollow eyes. Without any words being said I screamed at the very top of my lungs, tears streamed down my face as the figure reached out its arms floating closer to me on the bed. Before it could touch me my bedroom door flew open and the lights came flickering on as my parents came barging into my room, panic written on their face, they came running towards the bed crouching once they came near me as I was curled into a ball. Tears continued to stream down my face as I explained between sobs that a ghost was standing at the foot of my bed to my parents. But they claimed to not have seen it, for it dissapeared when the lihght turned on. After that night I could never get a good nights rest.

That was when I was 5 years old, now that I look at the old Victorian house I wondered what lurked inside. Was it my imagination or was it real? After that night my parents decided to move the next day, they packed our belongings and stuffed everything into the small rentel vehical that was to be picked up by the company the next day but my parents paid to have the moving truck for another few days till they found another home. The rest was a blur to me, days became weeks, weeks became months, months became years, and as I grew up that was the day or should I say night that stuck with me. I can still remember the figure that stood at the foot of my bed that night, she was tall wearing a 1850's victorian dress, the dark skirt flared away naturally from the ghost's tiny waist, the neckline was high, the sleeves of her bodice tattered still peaked at the shoulders, her hair was flowing around her waist. But what stood out were her eyes... hollow, black depths, that seemed to swallow the light and swallow apart of me that night. Another detail that I forgot that night was the stench, a smell that was rancid, of murky still water. Thinking about it now brings bile up my throat. What I want to know is, 'Why come to me?' Why did it make a impact on me that I grew up with insommia? I look at the building that holds my answers, and secrets that are waiting to be found, or maybe they should stay hidden and never spoken of. This time there is no-one to hold me back or to save me from what is to come.

The door creaked on its hinges as it swung open at just a slight push and the turn of the decorative door handle. My heart began beating faster than what it already was, but I was determined to get to the bottom of this. Silence hung in the air as I stepped into the Gablefront styled house, I looked around and everything was the same, but dust had collected over the years.
"Nothing changed... But you changed my life." I whispered as I started walking down the hallway, leaving the door open, but that was my mistake. As I was nearing a staircase, a chill went up my spine and a cold sweat formed on my skin, I don't know why but I wanted to run, something was telling me to run, before I could turn around a loud slam came from behind me. The door was shut, as I turned to run and saw my exit closed, my heart sank as I realised there was no way it could of closed with no wind blowing outside, maybe this was a mistake. With my heart pounding in my ears I hurriedly ran towards the door, as I neared a figure started to form which caused me to faulter in my steps and stop dead in my tracks.
A gray coat with covered buttons and a matching waistcoat materialised first, then came dark trousers, a short turnover shirt collor, and then a floppy bow tie materialized. The figure then continued to materialize before my eyes leading to his face. Short blonde hair stained with blood sat atop a sunken pale face, mouth wide open in a silent scream, and to complete the look a pointed blonde beard. That was it my heart jumped into my throat my legs began running before I could even think, a scream escaped me, I went into saftey/flight mode.
"It's cold.... so cold..." She shivered as the wind blew through the broken window as the walls creaked and the house shook. This wasn't supposed to happen
