Alright, well, Catalina somehow split her ear right where it meets her neck a few days ago. We cleaned it, disinfected it, and wrapped it. Yet, we ended up taking her to the vet today. He cleaned it up, clipped off the flap of skin that had folded over (and had begun to fester) and vaccinated her for CD&T. Her other ear has a sore, but not a cut. I think it's the back fence, which is old and has squares big enough for Catalina's small head to fit through. We're not going to get to changing that portion of fence for another couple weeks at least, so I really hope that she heals up and keeps herself in one piece until we take care of it. >.<

Are you maybe able to cover it with like shade sail mesh stuff or a tarp or something for the time being? I hope she heals well <3

How does the dog treat the kids? Is she herding them or just watching or she just follows after humans or something else?

Well, I'm pretty sure she thinks that they're dogs. XD When they were a week old, she was sniffing them and being gentle. However, now that they're older, she's been trying to get them to play. It's kind of precious, but also sad to see her in the play pose all expecting with the kids oblivious to what she's doing. :') However, she sometimes herds them when they move away from her. She just herds them back to an open space so that she can continue trying to play. <3 ~~~ ~~~ Here are some pictures of them I took two days ago right after they got dehorned. ^^ (They had their buds burned off, and the silvery stuff is like a spray-on bandaid to prevent bleeding) . Also... we may be separating Perry soon because he's been maturing remarkably fast. The record for youngest buck to breed a doe is 8 weeks, but we may have a record breaker on our hands if we don't keep an eye on him 😬

Well they might figure out how to play together eventually ^^ although goat's kick and dogs play bite so I am not sure if they have same idea of fun ^^""" they could play chase maybe What's dehorning? Is it permanent? Why it's done o.o? Cats also started maturing faster then they used to ^^""" good luck with him and photos are precious as always~ Edited at April 20, 2021 01:17 AM by Hurry
