Randomly stumbled across this thread and oh boy do I have a story to tell! This scar isn't bad in the sense of how it looks (because you can't even tell it's there thanks to my eyebags), but moreso the story behind it.

I can't remember exactly when this happened but I think it was between 1st and 3rd grade. I was playing on my own I think during outdoor gym time and a classmate ended up throwing a dodgeball into the empty kindergarten pen. I said I'd get it for him and rushed over the gate to try and hop the fence, meanwhile I hear him say "No, don't!" and next thing I know, I get pushed from behind and I fall forward. One odd feature about the gate lock was that it was "hooked" on one end. Just a sharp-ish curve on it that attached to the gate I think. So when I fell forward, the lock sliced right under my right eye. It wasn't a straight cut either. The highest point of the scar I think is like... 3 - 5mm away from the eye itself? Thankfully, the hook didn't cut deep because it was somewhat blunted and I didn't fall straight onto the lock. Just kinda grazed the thin skin there but to think I could have lost my eye that day all because I tried to fetch a ball for someone... Kid was forced to apologize afterwards and I forgave him.
