@Dawnforest As you eagerly make your way into the forest at around dawn, you take in the scene around you. There is nice, breezy weather, and it's still early, so the cats will be out hunting before it gets too hot. There is lots of underbrush that looks promising for a cat (or two) to be hiding, and you can see little trails in the grass where little critters have been walking. You hear birds chirping, a promising sign when you're trying to find some cats on the hunt. You hear a creek nearby as well, which might be a good place to explore at some point to see if you can find some cats enjoying a nice drink. You catch some movement out of the corner of your eye, and you gets ready to try to capture a cat. Upon further investigation you realize it was just a squirrel and you decide it's time to start exploring a little deeper in the forest. There seem to be some paths. One leading to the creek, and one leading deeper into the forest. What will you do? - A. Explore around the underbrush B. Go towards the creek C. Go deeper into the forest D. Look around where you are for any other paths - @Swiftfire Clan You walk into the forest ready to find your new pets. It is a few hours after mid day, and beginning to get cooler outside. You can hear many small animals scurrying around in the tall grass, but you don't see any cats around. You walk further down the designated path, but soon realize it may be a better idea to go off the path a little bit where there is less human activity, You continue walking a little until you come across a good place to explore around; a small clearing., with a little pond, and few trees. This may be a good place to wait for a little bit to see if you can find any thirsty cats. Or you could go back into the forest to look around in there, or just keep walking until you find something you think will be a little bit more promising than this nice little clearing. You look across the pond and there are more trees, but they are further apart, so it may be easier to walk without there being a trail. Time to decide where to go! - A. Back the way you came B. Look around the clearing C. Wait where you are and see if you spot anything D. Look in the forested area across the pond Edited at August 9, 2024 02:25 PM by Noquisi

@Dawnforest After contemplating it for a moment, you decide to explore in the undergrowth. There are lots of little movements from lizards, small rodents, insects, and more. It's a good thing you're wearing long pants, because the undergrowth is slightly stabby in some areas. As you look around, you see some little trails in the grass that look about the size of a large cat. They seem to be used used often, probably when a cat goes hunting or to get some water from the creek. Interesting. You could follow those little trails, and they may end up joining together to lead to a cat' s home. Then again, they could've been caused by a small red fox, or a raccoon. Upon further investigation, you see some small tufts of long dark grey fur along the little paths parted in the undergrowth. Definitely not a red fox. When deciding what to do, remember, you could return to this spot later on if you wanted. Will you follow the little paths or choose a different direction? - A. Follow the trails in the undergrowth B. Continue to search around for something more promising C. Look around the creek instead D. Head deeper into the forest - @Swiftfire Clan I'm so sorry about the wait! It took longer than expected to get to this because my real life started to blow up some. You tread carefully as you make your way around the bank of the lake. It's pretty muddy and marshy around the lake, despite you walking a few meters away from it. The water in the actual lake looks clean, though. Perhaps cats really do come here to drink despite the swampy terrain surrounding the lake. You continue to walk hastily, yet carefully, wanting to get to your destination quickly. As you get closer to the opposite side of the lake you notice the trees are pretty sparce. You make it to the other end of the lake, and begin walking further away from it. As the land around you begins to get slowly more dry, you notice little pawprints in the soft mud. This looks promising! There is a little trail branching off three ways- straight forward, left, and right. The areas surrounding the trails seem to be pretty similar, so your next choice will have to be made at random. Time to make that decision now! Which way will you go? - A. Left B. Straight C. Right D. Go back Edited at June 29, 2024 03:10 PM by Nikwasi

@Dawnforest You begin to walk at a brisk pace along the trails, eager to find your new cat! As you follow the trails, they all begin to join together and overlap. A cat definitely frequents them to go hunting and find water. You continue to walk, and you hear a noise. You quickly turn your head to look, hoping to see a cat. Nope, just a squirrel hopping through the undergrowth. You continue to walk, following the general direction of where the trails lead. You spot a cat in the distance! It seems to be walking away from you, and it doesn't seem to have noticed you yet. You carefully follow it, hoping to see where it goes! Be careful though, you might scare it. - A. Continue to quietly follow it B. Watch it, but don't get too close C. Just continue to follow the trails D. Move on. - @Rogue Wildfires You.go right, continuing to follow the path. As you continue to walk, it gets less and less marshy and the trees get slightly closer together. While you walk, you pay attention to your surroundings, being careful not to miss anything. But as you continue to make your way down the path, it begins to get thinner and thinner, making it seem like not many people ever come over here. As you look around to figure out your next move, you notice small pawprints and indentations in the overgrown grass. This could very well be where a cat was walking recently. You continue to follow the path since the pawprints are practically right next to it, and the trail begins to end. As you walk in the undergrowth, you begin to notice small tufts of grey and black fur in the grass and dry plants. This looks promising! - A. Follow the pawprints B. Turn back, you don't want to walk too far off the path C. Continue to look for other signs of cats D. Take a break and asses around you a little bit Edited at August 4, 2024 04:05 PM by Nikwasi

@Rogue Wildfires You veer away from the beaten path in order to follow the pawprints. Surprisingly the trail goes on for quite some time, until it comes to a dead end. Where did the cat go then? It couldn't have just teleported, or disappeared into thin air. Upon further inspection you realize the cat climbed one of the trees near where the path ended! It is crouching on a branch, seemingly trying to find some bird or squirrel to eat. It looks down and spots you looking at him, but it doesn't seem to scared of you. As you near the tree, it just stays where it is, seemingly not wanting to approach you but not quite scared either. And it's beautiful! - What will you do? A. Coax it down with some salmon (-1 use) B. Coax it down with your words C. Sit and wait for it to come down on its own D. Just make sure it doesn't go anywhere, and follow it if it does
