Question: Your art is really good, and what's even better is that I notice an improving kind of evolution that shows subtle changes in each of your drawings. I was wondering as a fellow artist, how long have you been an artist and what place do you think you're in on your journey as an artist? Do you watch drawing tutorials, just look at something and draw it, or what's your strategy? I ask all artists this and also give highly recommended drawing tips and share info if anyone wants it because that's what we all do. I'm still trying to perfect my artistic abilities as a journey and am planning on making a forum for growing artists.

thank you! i've probably been drawing since around 2016 or sometime around that honestly, i think i'll maybe improve more since i'm doing a course at college that is mainly focused on art - i'm definitely at a place i thought was impossible a few years ago ^^ i haven't watched many tutorials before. normally i would just draw from memory to get the pose i want, however i would use a reference to get a feel for anatomy (which i suggest to do!) study pages are also very helpful, especially for specific ocs or body parts (head, legs, etc) - i do these for dog breeds so i can can see the specific characteristics they have Edited at October 21, 2023 04:39 PM by Thunder Struck
