I used a F2U line base so that I could draw a human character for a RP, with the purpose of letting those in the discussion page know what his human form looks like; but now I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post said picture, even with proper crediting.

So I was wanting to use a partially human OC as my avatar. Is it still allowed even if she is only part human? Not an anthro, but kind of like a cat-girl.
To be honest I think the whole "humans aren't allowed" thing is a little stupid. Why are there such strict rules and requirements for a silly avatar?

If she's something like a neko(basically all/almost all human with cat ears and a cat tail, sometimes cat-like eyes, whiskers and/or a cat collar is seen on neko art), then definitely not.
Those fall under the no human rule.

If your oc is something other than a neko then it'd depend on how much human your oc is.

There's many reasons to why human art isn't allowed.
The biggest one is if a human picture is based on yourself, or if it's a real picture of you, it's not allowed because that's PII data.
If it's based on a real person in one way or another it's not allowed because that person has legal rights to how images of them get used.
For other types of human art it's not allowed because it has been heavily abused in the past

What do you mean it has been heavily abused in the past?
And what if the image isn't based on anyone? Can you even prove if an image is based on someone?

Sorry for all the questions.

Tons of stolen human images in many forms.
Using pictures of real humans repeatedly without permission.
People stealing human characters from various anime shows.

And those are just a few examples.

And no. Human art can't be used period. Regardless of whether it's based on someone or not.

The same can be said for any non-human images too. It probably doesn't happen as much though, I'm guessing?

Oh well, thank you for answering my questions :)

Lunar Valley-- For non-human images, it is at the discretion of the photographer. It's not as easy to identify a dog's information from a photo (save for their breed, perhaps). If you use an image that you have no permission to use, then it will be removed.
