Same, trying to think of new characters since I dumped all my creativity on Joel. Winter Stars said: I have a few options I could drop in if we really need them, but I'm trash at doubling, so it might slow down my replies a bit

I have a few preexisting characters but most of them are mages lol. I've got a pyromancer and a light mage I've not played in awhile that I might be able to make fit into one of the other roles since we have plenty of mages already. Or I could see about whipping up a new character. I've had a concept in mind that could make a good vampire. Originally meant him to be a human but as I was thinking of making him and Faye close friends, being non-human makes more sense for the world of this RP, and we definitely need some vampires.

True. Your pyromancer character could transfer into a demon possibly. Both like to play with fire after all? ~ I am considering making a rival character for Joel. I have realized that I essentially wrote a character with little room for development outside maybe being a mentor to the numerous younger characters. The age gap between all of them kind of forces that eventually, it's only natural. To make him interesting, I need something to shake that up.

Yeah, that can be an issue with writing centuries-old characters. He could potentially learn to let loose through working with younger people, or maybe work on the cynicism, although, given that nobody in the RP thus far seems to be super sunny, that might be a bit of a challenge. A problem for him as an individual to solve, like a rival, might do well for him.

Yup. That's my plan. Introducing, Cainan Vitale the wild Magic Using freedom fighter whose methods might be a little questionable in the long run. ~ Time to pull the cliche best friends turned bitter enemies, lets like totally kill each other, trope... 🤣

I forgot how hard it is to write personalities.

Yeahhhh. As much as I love writing, personalities are the hardest part. I tend to reuse my favorite characters quite frequently, so reusing personality descriptions has been a life saver.

I do too, though I already used that for the most part with Joel. ~ Cain is going to be something brand new. Ugh.
