We're naming dead pups. That's literally what we're doing right now.

That sounds pretty nice! What did Aniela look like? And what was the uhhh... the cause of the death? I'm starting to see why Azalea's so protective of Distance.
That makes sense. So, we have one alive pup (Mullein/Distance) and one stillborn pup (Aniela). I think we should have a pup that died ot natural causes, maybe even an animal attack. That could be the reason as to why Azalea's described as overprotective (well, there's also Mullein going completely silent and being nicknamed as Distance, but it probably didn't influence her protectiveness as much as one of the pups dying.)

Alder sounds really nice. I'd say the cause of death should be a situation where the chances of Azalea and Fracture actually saving Alder was super low, but they tried anyway and blamed Alder's death on themselves. (Animal attack, blizzard, starvation, fatal injury, etc.)

I have two pups now. Fang from Mountain Pack, and Dawnforest's.

Question: What if a pack member pairings using Kalevala and Jarek as an example. Let's say they're paired and one dies. Will they get repaired or must stay mateless? If this was a question already answered I must have missed it.

There's a few solutions. 1. They stay mateless if they are too old to have pups/close to retiring. 2. If they are only young (2-3 years old) they can be paired with one of the current season's juveniles during the ceremony if there are extra that need mates. 3. If two wolves have lost their mates they will be paired together. - Usually they are given a season to grieve.
