Not sure how much future information I need but River Pactus does take place when they would have kids and pets and everything.

Literally, everyone had been doing great and everything had calmed down immensely and then the short story happens. Oops.

Some fun facts that I should mayhaps share before I ever finish River Pactolus-

1) Midas ends up becoming one of the main gatekeepers and protectors for the system eventually. He knows... A lot more than others do.

2) Despite all the progress that's been made, the hush programs are still very much intact. So unless the trauma is recent or something that doesn't have to do with Fintan and all that, nothing is really said or told or explained. If anything is, it's by Midas. It's rare, and moreso done by hinting and vague words than anything else, but it does happen at times.

3) If new trauma is experienced, Midas will usually end up fronting... Eventually. To either tell. Someone. Or to at least explain that some shit is going down on the inside so if anything seems off on the outside, that's probably why.

4) Kind of similar to #2. Garvin still wouldn't be aware of the shit Fintan did by the time of the short story, River Pactolus. Mostly because Midas was especially against him knowing. Because Midas pretty sure he would not react well, whatsoever.

So, just about done with the first snippet for the River Pactolus short story and it's ~1365 words. Um. I don't know how to do newscasters so... There'll be a tiny little glossing over of that bit in it. So. Hopefully the first snippet will be ~2000 words at max, haha. And then I'll only have, like. At least four more snippets.

One with Midas, one with Aries, the argument before the attempt, and the attempt.

There might be more, depending on how much motivation I have for the other snippet ideas but uh... Yeah.

Lot's to do for this short story, ughhhh. Basically writing five different short stories and calling it one lmao

I honestly love that idea. Garvin just immediately takes the kid in while Nico panics and starts cooking to get the kid fed and Akira just nods in approval and tries to strike up a conversation with them.

Meanwhile Ingall and Revan are just in the background like "Yeah, this is about what I expected to happen. Guess we have another child now, oh well-"
