Omg, please. Absolutely 10/10 I am obsessed, definitely going to have to do some sketches from that scene, the emotion is so raw *^* The amount of shouting would be absolutely insane, I'm sure. Nothing like watching your captain get stabbed and then *refusing* to back off still. |

OKAY. BEFORE I SLEEP!! MORE QUESTIONS Sleep themed ones because I'm tired These are both for dragons and pirates! :D How do they like to sleep? What type of dreams do they both have? Are they a night owl or early bird? How easily do they fall asleep? Are they comfortable sleeping around other people? Do they have a night time routine? How well do they function when they're tired? |

ET Velyran tends to settle wherever he wants. He tends to sleep curled up. Quill... just crashes. It might be in bed, might be on a chair, on the lookout, on the ship--who knows. Sleep = sleep. Vel has dreams? It's really not easy to tell what kind of dreams. Quill exhausts himself to the point he doesn't dream. Ha. Vel is more of an early bird. Quill... uh... yeah... Vel falls asleep ish. It takes a bit for him to actually fall asleep. Quill is sleep-avoidant but once he does, he falls asleep fairly easily. Vel doesn't care. Quill will not. He absolutely will not sleep around others. Quill goes until he doesn't. It's not uncommon for him to disappear into the Captain's quarters for a few hours. Sleep schedule is absolute trash. But, he functions fairly well when tired. It's hard to tell when he's absolutely exhausted or just tired or even just not tired at all. |

1) Stardust prefers to sleep ontop of Mylo, because "My master is warm!!" He doesn't quite seem to grasp the concept that he is in fact, giant and very heavy. Mylo on the other hand would much rather sleep in a bed or leaning against Star because what's safer than sleeping beside a feathery death monster who has a strange obcession with balls? 2) Star dreams of tennis balls and treats, you cannot convince me otherwise, and sometimes these dreams cause his tail to wag and destroy things (and people) Mylo doesn't dream and on the rare occastion he does, it's usually nightmares. 3) Star is 100% an early bird, he enjoys waking poor Mylo up at the asscrack of dawn to go yell at spacegulls. Mylo is a nightowl, keeping watch until well past midnight. 4) When Star goes to sleep, he is OUT, Mylo swears the second that hunk of feathers lays down, he's asleep. Much like the previous reply, Mylo finds it hard to sleep, taking quite awhile before he's finally out and only getting an hour or two at most. 5) It's not so much that Star doesn't like to sleep around otherpeople, but more so that he's got so many friends to play with that he can't sleep. Mylo just would rather not XD 6) Nope lol 7) Tired? What's tired? That's a normal day for Mylo, better question is what is he like when he's well rested? No clue actually, I'd love to see it happen though XD Star is like a sleepy bulldozer, he will plow into anything and everything and he will more likely than not try and fall asleep in someone's lap. |

ET, - Dally loves sleeping in general. He's not lazy, per se, but he does treasure his sleep. He'll really sleep anywhere in any position in anything. However, he won't sleep unless he is 100% everyone else around him is safe and comfortable, even if he isn't. Javalasii is a little different. She's more guarded with her sleep, and doesn't particularly like to sleep in loud places or bright places. When she does go to sleep, her main priority is Dally's well being, and then being tucked into the tightest ball she could possibly contort her body into. - Dally has nightmares. Every single night. Usually the same one over and over. As far as Dally has observed, Java seems to have dreams, due to the fact that she twitches in her sleep, but what he's heard from her is that she doesn't, so she may or may not. - Dally can be either. It really just depends what will help him be around more company, whether they want him there or not. Most of the time it's both, due to the fact that he's rushing around and trying to get all of the insomniacs to sleep. Java has a fairly decent schedule, unless some antics ruin it. However, her internal clock is still set to that of her home planet, so her night could be different from everyone else's depending on where they are. What is known is that she tends to be very groggy after just waking up. - Dally can crash immediately. As said, anywhere, anytime, as long as the people around him are okay. Java has a bit of a hard time falling asleep, but not enough to count as insomnia. This is typically because she is on a bed or a wood floor instead of buried in a cold mud puddle. - Dally? Absolutely. And he won't just sleep around other people - he will sleep on top of them. However clingy you think he is, multiply that by 10. Java? Not really, but she'd do it for Dally. And she trusts the crew, for the most part. - Java lays down, Dally flops on top of her. Or, Java lays down and watches as Dally flops on top of someone else. - Dally cannot function without sleep, which makes him even worse. He's exhausted, but his anxiety won't let him sleep while he thinks it's day, and his anxiety also won't let him sleep if too many other people are awake. So he sits there with a cup of coffee in his hand, looking like he got slapped with several toads. Java, on the other hand, can go several months without any sleep and function perfectly. But once she gets past a certain line, she'll simply.. collapse. This has been learned. |

How do they like to sleep? Tucked under her dragon's wing for comfort and warmth, Cassiopeis usually just drops wherever she wants for her nap. Sometimes she can be found sleeping in the most unusuall places What type of dreams do they both have? Ava mostly dreams of her past when she was just drifting around space with Cassiopeia, she does sometimes get nightmares about the storm that destroyed her previous ship but Cassy is always there to calm her As for Cassy...pretty much she just dreams about food which makes Ava wake up hungry most of the time Are they a night owl or early bird? Definetly a night owl, there is nothing more peacefull than riding a dragon during night, there is a sense of peace when the rest of the world is sleeping How easily do they fall asleep? Cassy can fall asleap in seconds while Ava usually stays up and overthinks everything. She is always worried she did or said the wrong thing Are they comfortable sleeping around other people? While Cassy really likes people and generally enjoys the company Ava is the complete oposite, she doesn't want to be alone but at the same time people scare her, that's how she found comfort sleeping under the wing of her dragon Do they have a night time routine? They don't really have a routine per say, in their years of travelling around space Cassiopeia just chose a place to sleep she deemed safe enough and that was the end of the disscusion. Now that they joined the pirate crew they usually just go to bed after returning from a space mission and dropping right where they land (pretty sure Urchin triped over them on multiple occasions resulting in them covered in spikes) How well do they function when they're tired? Cassy gets grumpy as hell, like you can imediatelly tell when she didn't get her beauty sleep in, as for Ava, she can run on 4 hours of sleep but can zone out randomly during conversation |

ET - Makovu likes to lay on Nyota's back, while Nyota like to sleep in covered areas. - Makovu dreams of fighting with the tools and weapons he makes. Or flying on Nyota. Nyota dreams about seting people on fire. - Both are absolute night owls. - Makovu takes a long time to fall asleep, while Nyota is up most the night, usually falling asleep after midnight. - Both Makovu and Nyota prefer sleeping farther away from others, finding a reserved spot away from the crowd. - Nope. Both are as unorganized as can be. - Makovu is the same whether he's awake or asleep. Silent and a potato chip brain. Nyota gets fiesty when she's sleepy, but she's usuall fiesty on a daily basis, so. - |

Absolutely adore the answers to all these questions so far, omg *^* The sleep hygiene in this group is abysmal </3 already know these pirates would be doomscrolling before bed if they could Amy Oh god, having Urchin trip over you would hurt so bad </3 poor Cassy. It's a good thing Ava is protected by being under Cassy's wing. Sleeping underneath a dragon's wing sounds so peaceful, lowkey. Vah This checks out for Quill LMAO. Can definitely see him just working to exhaustion all the time and then passing out as soon as he's got some peace and quiet. He lowkey has the vibes he's overestimated how long he can stay awake and has fallen asleep riding Vel before 😭 Reaper Stardust is unfairly cute, I can't get over it. Sounds like the perfect weighted, feathery blanket, 10/10, I don't see Mylo's problem. Lackadaisy The clinginess continues, omg. With the answers so far it looks like Dallas might have a hard time finding someone to sleep on, though </3 poor guy. Right, I suppose I should answer my own questions too. One set of Urchin and Vasilios questions coming right up. How do they like to sleep?
Vasilios can sleep just about anywhere, though his current preference is in his room above his office. It allows him to be woken up if anything severe happens or if someone comes back seriously injured. He and Urchin sleep in the same room - though she likes to sleep up in the rafters above him and has made herself some sort of 'nest' out of sheets and blankets she's acquired [mostly from the beds of the other pirates].
Vasilios likes to sleep on his side or on his front, usually with a pillow pulled up under his head. His arms are uncomfortable to sleep on, so finding a comfortable position can be tricky - he'll usually take one of his arms off before going to bed. [Yes, this often means he wakes up to that arm being nicked by Stardust or Urchin, or any of the playfully inclined dragons,] What type of dreams do they both have?
Vasilios is prone to having vivid and obscure dreams. They're weird, fantastical, and often a smidge unsettling. He's happy to tell people about them if they ask, as they are completely nonsensical - proper 'fever-dream' quality. He suffers from frequent sleep paralysis, especially when waking up - hence his relatively strict routine.
Urchin, on the other hand, does not dream. Vasilios isn't even sure if she actually sleeps or is just pretending to. Are they a night owl or early bird?
As Urchin sticks quite closley to Vasilios's schedule, they're both early birds. Vasilios has a strict routine of when he gets up and goes to bed. He's usually up early enough to say goodnight to all the late-nighters and sleep-deprived. Usually, he gets up at 05:30, though if he happens to get woken up before then, say between 3 and 4, he'll just get up then too.
Whilst he may get up early, this doesn't mean he's the most functional when he first wakes up. If you were to try and speak to him after he's just woken up, you're unlikely to get more than a grunt. He tends to wake up during the process of making coffee, something he does as soon as he wakes up every morning. If there's anyone else up, he'll make coffee for them too.
Urchin gets up whenever Vas does. Luckily they're both relatively quiet in the mornings and can avoid waking up their crew members who are still asleep. How easily do they fall asleep?
Vasilios falls asleep relatively easy once he's managed to find a comfortable position. He can even fall asleep on Urchin if it's around the time he tends to go to sleep anyway. Are they comfortable sleeping around other people?
Sort of. Vasilios has no issue with sleeping around his crew, strangers, anyone to be honest, especially if Urchin is with him. He's not in constant fear that he'll get killed or robbed in his sleep or anything. However, due to his tendancy to dream vividly, shuffle around a lot, and y'know,,sleep paralysis, he tends to avoid sleeping around other people in order to not disturb them.
Urchin doesn't care. With all those spines, which puff out when she's resting or sleeping, she's pretty safe. She's also a very light sleeper and wakes up when anything is going on nearby. Urchin would happily sleep in a room full of people. Do they have a night time routine?
Yes, yes he does. Urchin usually tags along for this too as,,, well, she's got nothing better to do. Keeping to a strict routine and getting a sufficient amount of sleep reduces Vasilios's chance of sleep paralysis, so he takes it quite seriously. He tends to go to sleep between 21:00 and 22:00, quite a bit earlier than a lot of the crew. He starts by cleaning up and closing his office, checking over his supplies and cleaning up after any daily chaos - if anyone is currently injured, he'll check in on them one last time too. After that it's loosely braiding his hair, face mask, brushing his teeth, washing said face mask off, heading back to his room. Earplugs, eye mask, the whole deal, and then straight to sleep.
There's a flowchart stuck to the medical office door titled 'Can I wake Vasilios up?' which walks through several scenarios and whether they're serious enough to wake him up.
Urchin tends to follow Vasilios around through all of this, though may sometimes stray and wander around the rest of the ship or base camp whilst he sleeps. How well do they function when they're tired?
Vasilios's already short temper gets even shorter when he's lacking sleep, so safe to say: Not well.
He'll take a nap during the day if he has the chance, though this is guaranteed sleep paralysis. Urchin has never showed a single sign of tiredness or sleep deprivation. Regardless of if they sleep or not, she always acts the same, hence why Vasilios is beginning to question if she actually sleeps at all. |
