I've been thinking about getting an electric drum set because I feel like I would enjoy playing drums- but I'm also thinking: do I want to lose even more free time? because I'd feel obligated to play because they're expensive but on my lazy days I just wouldn' do it and AH-

I did drums in Year 5 as part of the curriculum, and still play them a little in band and such, but because I never got lessons and I don't really play the drumset (just snare, bass or timpani) I don't really consider them to be one of my instruments

except I really, really like timpani

I play it most of the time for band

it's like a drum but tuned :0

I just want to play the typical drums- like rock- with the... Base? Bass? I always confuse the two words, snares and whatever the other things are called >.>

Drums sound fun! I would rent them before buying, though/ do a trial if possible, just so if you aren't into them, you don't have to pay a ridiculous amount. But I think you'd like them if you'd tried! (Coming from someone who lieterally has zero drum experience)
