I would tell ya my city is boarded up, but it's boarded up 24/7 anyway and everyone is too terrified to step foot into it regardless . on the other hand, the capital, which I love decidedly close to, is boarded up . I am fully prepared to witness D.C burning down wish my survival luckkkk

I don't have a stable country to run to :') Ecuador is a decidedly not stable, developing country. And I don't have any European family. so I'm stuck here. Honestly, it could be way worse. I'm lucky as heck I live the life I live. But still, I don't think I want my local cities to burn down, nor riots left and right, etc. I dunno :') I feel kinda bratty and ungrateful saying that, but America has so many issues upon issues.

Also, you know what's weird - I was able to be in Europe for some time. Even in the major cities like London, I felt safe. Back at my city, we worry about being shot anytime we walk the streets. We keep our heads down and walk quickly, and stick with friends at all times. The differents between here and Europe is so huge. I dunno about Australia, though - does it feel safe? Idk honestly just a late night rant

Spaghetti I can see that... I've always felt more comfortable around my German friend's dads than my American friend's dads... don't really know why... The big cities I've been to that I can remember are Glasgow, Athens, Helsinki, Tampere, San Tiago, Puerto Vallarta, Frankfurt, and Berlin... at least outside of the U.S.A. Other than Athens, which was just an ugly city in a heatwave, I loved it in all those places. Very pretty and a lot of culture, though I don't remember how safe I felt... I think for me it was the same as in the big cities in the U.S. except it looked nicer... it might be the fact that most European countries (don't know about Mexico) don't allow public firearms or whatever.

Australia's pretty alright I'm kinda timid though so Sydney was tErRiFyiNg ^^' but we have a bunch of gun laws and stuff after an incident sometime in the late 1900s at Port Arthur my friend's dad has a gun, but he's a farmer and has a license, so it's fine
I feel pretty safe in my town, and Sydney was fine as well. But every place has a kinda darker side that you gotta look out for- heh one time I walked among the sketchy place with my friends and we didn't even realise it was sketchy even though all the people there were kinda sketchy ^^'
but I don't think I've ever felt particulary unsafe in cities and stuff before
I haven't been to an awful lot of cities, just Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast, but they were nice
