Haha, fair enough. I normally sleep ~8 hours. But I get up at 6am. In reality I sleep more like 6 hours haha. ET is right though, that should be a reasonable time to sleep lol. I think you're just used to less sleep.

Exactly! It's just a new one with Edling. Here's a link, easier to just show you lol.
-WP Click-

I have noticed that you weren't as active. Last I saw you properly, I think I was in the midst of exams still. I get those results on the 29th, hopefully all goes well and I passed everything. I'm still very anxious about it though :')
Not long now till my partner comes to visit and then I'm off to the UK. Imagine I passed ET in the streets haha --jk I'm actually no where near London lol. May go up to visit family

Urux, my sleep schedule is so chopped. <|3 I was talking to Eternity and got super sleepy and I was like, "if I go to sleep now, I'll wake up at 3 AM." and he was like, "Nooo, 9 PM is a plenty reasonable time to sleep. c:" and here we are. e.e lmaoo

But isn't that a mood? I sit down to write a liiiittle short post and it ends up being 3 pages long. And you get so impatient for the reply, lol. What's your RP about? You must like it a lot to write so much.

As for me (thanks for asking, by the way), I've been alright. Got busy with life and unintentionally took a step back from WP for a few weeks but I'm back. ^^ You?

How you're not tired I have no idea haha. I'm going to sleep in a little bit, I'm just doing my rp starters haha. They're a lot more detailed than I meant them to be lol

How have you been though?

I think it's even worse that I've already slept for the night and I'm up at this time, lol.

Hello!

If y'all don't mind, could I get some tips and tricks for making good art on Autodesk Sketchbook / MedibangPaintPro for Windows? I don't have a touchscreen; I either use the trackpad or the mouse, but I can't get my art to turn out well. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Honestly, I suggest sketching on paper first. That way you dont have to worry about sketching circles and squares with a trackpad/mouse. That way you just have to line and color.

That's what I've been doing, and it works alright, except some lines don't come through when I scan it onto the computer, and then I have to eyeball it anyway. ^^"

It definitely makes things much easier, though! ^^

As an Autodesk Sketchbook user for almost 3 years now, I'd be more than happy to help you! First off, I wouldn't scan pictures, since they tend to come out lighter and harder to see. I would, like Intergalactic said, sketch my drawing out, take a picture of it with my phone, send said picture to laptop, then line it. Yes yes it's a process, but it's highkey worth it. I give props to you for using a trackpad/mouse, I could never-

With that being said, in Autodesk, there's this feature called "predictive stroke" and this helps wobbly lines look more smooth! However if you turn it up too high it'll ruin the line by trying to maoe it something else. I typically use that for shapes.

I would take a pic with my phone, but the camera is HORRID. >.<
Everything comes out blurry and awful because it was a cheap phone. >.>
However, I'll definitely play with the predictive stroke feature more. ^^
Thank you!

Yeah, predictive stroke is a lifesaver! I struggled for quite a bit working with my eight year old computer's trackpad lmao, so yes, getting a pen and tablet that registers pressure will be a life saver. They can be pricey, but are so, so worth it.

I am currently saving up for that, aha. ^^"
But until I can buy one (hopefully a standalone, aha), I've gotta work with what I've got. And my tablet hates me when I try to connect it to the internet (it's such a PAIN to update apps on there anymore >.>), so drawing on there and emailing it to myself is out. -_-

I dont know if I'm a little late to respond to this, but I use Sketchpad the online one. and I do it exactly the same way you do... e.g a normal laptop, the touchpad thingy. like you said in your top post. I haven't seen your art yet.
.
but I tend to use the Sketch tool That you can use on the site. this allows you to do a rough sketch and then you can do the main one. The only problem is doing it on a laptop takes a LONG time.
trust me I understand. I've once tried drawing my art on paper or a sketchbook and try to take a picture with the camera of the laptop as then you can change the brightness of the picture which by doing this you can then see the lines more clearly do you can draw over them.
.
It's nice to meet someone else who is doing art like this. ^^
Because I am doing art on a laptop it tends to take up to 1-3 days just to complete one piece if it's really detailed. I can't really think of anyways to help other than suggesting take your time and go slow, otherwise, it might turn out bad. :D
.
Hoped I helped in some kind of way. and I'd love to see your art sometime.

I figured going slow might be the answer. :')
I haven't used Sketchpad that much, but I might try it again sometime. ^^
