I'm pretty new to digital art, so what's a way to create a non-messy looking lineart (by tracing over/lining a sketch)? What line width would you suggest?

I currently use GIMP to draw, though I'm hoping to eventually download something such as FireAlpaca instead.

You could use a picture off of Google and put into into a layer, then get a transparent layer and trace it? But then you'd have to credit the original picture owner.

I'd rather do it by tracing over a sketch I've created, not tracing someone else's work.

Hmm may I see some of your work to know where you stand with digital art? :3

I just trace over the sketch, and re-trace that until I get good lines :3 I use 1 width at first then go up to 1.5 then 2 and so forth until I'm satisfied with the result. I use MediBang, by the way

I've never used Gimp, but I know a lot of programs (I use MediBang, but I know FireAlpaca and SAI have it as well as others) have a stabilizer tool. You could try using that to help clean up your lineart. ^^

I use MediBang Pro and found that making multiple layers (the first layer being a picture of the original sketch) and tracing over until I'm satisfied with the line art. Using a smaller brush size at first then using a larger brush where needed. It takes practice, but it's not too hard once you've found what you are looking for.

This is actually not allowed.

You need to go to a place such as deviant art, and search for free linearts there.
Taking them off search engines isn't allowed as they're very often not owned by the place google is linking you to.

Tracing isn't allowed either.
