I stick to a two-part naming scheme. Typically following an adjective noun structure. An example of this might be Ethereal Night or Deadly Winter. Both parts are usually tied to what the wolf looks like either alone or with gear and decor. Deadly Winter being a white wolf with rosewood markings and Ethereal Night being a grayscale wolf (Anx). There are times that I use a parent's name in the way that I name their offspring so at times I might have a line of similar names before I break away. I used to adhere to just a random scheme of names with little thinking, but have found this to be more interesting and has made me be more deliberate in what I name my wolf in the year or so I have been using this naming scheme.

Either like fantasy or I try to think of a song that fits them. I have three named after a song. I also try to think of space themed names :]

I always check first which letter/s of the alphabet aren't in use then pick one and put together a random name that sounds ok. Sometimes I need to change letters or syllables a couple of times before I'm happy with it but it means they're all pretty unique names. If I'm over 26 wolves then I repeat the oldest wolf's letter but I'm usually between 20-25 wolves in the pack.

They're numbered in the constructed language I'm working on. Currently up to 134. The nicknames are nature themed, with exceptions such as Celtic for Gaelic Bloods and Welsh for hellhounds. Edited at January 7, 2025 08:10 AM by Talen

I name my wolves based on their traits and appearance and stats. For example, I had a wolf born with a 'luck' talent and a dark black belt with some grey, so I called him 'BlessedBlack'. Sometimes I don't have an idea so I just conjoin two words that I think could describe them like 'BlackHowl'. Another name example is 'WhiteWish'

There are two ways that I name them. Either off of what name comes to mind when I think of them, or following song names that I'm currently obsessed over (the artist/band, not the actual song). So right now, my favorite band is Ice Nine Kills, so my wolves are currently named after their songs. Sparkplug was named because it's the only word that came to mind whenever I saw him. Ghost is named Ghost because at the time, I couldn't get the song out of my head by Au/Ra and Alan Walker.
