i was going to ask Oxymoron for help, but they disappeared. Apparently, I didn't make it clear enough. I know I will feel dumb, because I should know how to do it

What is the problem? There is a small chance I could know.

Okay, if I'm right, the first point of you graph is on X = 4. You then go up one, over one, in both directions.

Can you plug in a number and it works like that or am I crazy?

Depends on where you plug in the number^ If you had x+ 3 there, the graph would begin on x = 3 If you had 2 | x + 4| the graph would begin on x = 3, but instead o 1/1, the rise over run would 2/1. You would go up 2, over 1. If you had |x + 4| + 1, The graph would begin on 4,1 instead of four, so the base point would raise up one. Edited at September 23, 2020 03:29 PM by Simply Devious

f(x)=/x-4/ Let's say you want to plug in 3 for x. f(3)=/3-4/ Does that work?
