Some may translate it as Dry Ham,but it certainly is not >.> dry ham can be produced anywhere and meat can come from any part of animal-they tie them together and then cook and then put in a dryer.While pršut is a made from hind leg only-whole leg-and is left out in a some kind of open house where they hang as bura(strong cold wind that is common and pretty regular at one specific mountain)blows aroud them and below is fire that makes smoke that coats around young pršut.Also there is a lot of salt involved X) Maybe a closest thing to it is jerky? |
