Ellis de Montfort is a being equal in both feminine grace, beauty, and strength. Standing at only 5’2”, she appears to be a weak individual – lacking in the obvious strength necessary to do anything else but run. Her “proper” posture, although not being nearly as regal as those of rich traditional folk, portrays this even further. It gives off a sense of graceful elegance to all those around while appearing to be rather frail. However, this portrayal could not be further from the truth. Hidden underneath her small size and “gentle” posture lies a bulky build – one designed to pack a wallop with hard but slower attacks while still possessing enough leanness to be somewhat agile. Her muscle mass is evenly spread out throughout the majority of her body, allowing for that large amount of power while still being rather “streamline.” Natural feminine curves still remain amongst all the muscles as does an average sized chest. The curves, unlike the chest, however are exemplified by the load of muscles she possesses. Calloused hands are one of the few outward hints towards her true physical prowess, built up from years of handling rough-handled weapons. Swords and axes in particular. The numerous scars coating her creamy tan skin are a person’s last warning to her true strength – formulated mostly from harsh training sessions following the attack. Reason enough to give a cautious glance, if one can even spot them. With the small nicks from swords or knives having faded into her skin as time has gone by, it is quite a trying task to pick one out from her natural physique. These old scratches are mostly found along her arms with a few scattered along her sides where they are always covered by some amount of fabric. The main noticeable one is a scar running from the inner side of her left shoulder down to her side. It is much more obvious than others due to its sheer size, but is often covered up by her clothing. She never speaks on the origins of this scar.
This petite woman’s facial structure is just as feminine as the rest of her body, if not even more so. It is rounded in structure with smooth and leveled cheeks – not thick but also not quite thin and lacking in any sort of blemishes, freckles, or scarring. Her face generally seems to be tidy and free of grime as well, leading to what some would describe as a naturally glowing appearance. Plump lips dawn her face, a natural dark pinkish in coloration. They are, truthfully, not very expressive and only really jump around from straight lines to frowns if multiple iterations. Her eyes, on the other hand, are a good amount more expressive than her lips. They are rounded and slightly upturned in shape. The irises are the color of red roses with rings of darker shade of red scattered about with no real pattern – an unnatural feature, surely, without any sort of true explanation to back it up. Emotion is quick to spark amongst this red, with the more negative feels being the most obvious. Well kept eyebrows top it all off, being slightly close to her eyes than normal – resulting in a bit of a harsher resting face. Long and naturally wavy hair in the final piece of the puzzle for her head, a rich brown in hue. It ends just a hair above the halfway mark of her back, coming to a sort of rounded point along her spine. The part is completely centered, keeping the amount of hair on either side completely even. Meanwhile, longish curly bangs stretch down the front of her face on either side – being of equal length and starting roughly around the same time. A section of hair near the bangs can be seen curving down from the right side and to the left before connecting with the bangs on that side. A small strand of hair is also present on the right side, sticking out the side of that bang.
Clothing is a bit of a mixed-bag topic for this young warrior, with there being both a variety of outfits for her to choose from while still having sort of a small selection. T-shirts of a few different colors (white, blue, cream, and the lone) are usually her go-to attire for days in which she has nowhere to be, coupled with pants stitched together and colored in a similar fashion to modern day khakis. Large leather boots are her general footwear, working as a sort of combat boot. Sparring sessions usually have her wearing this exact outfit unless weapons are involved, with a dirty pair of pants or a muddied t-shirt being the least of her worries. A fancy and rather expensive black dress is another part of her wardrobe. It is rarely worn when compared to the others, but is one of her favorite pieces of clothing she owns. The dress in question is slanted sideways, having more fabric on the right side than the left. This structure has left her scarred shoulder completely on display – which she often flaunts as a sort of trophy. To keep the top part of this dress from falling, a sort of collar-like design was fashioned, wrapping around the base of her neck and right shoulder. This odd addition is quite handy and helps to keep the dress snug against her upper body. The end of the dress remains uneven, with the right side ending part way down her calf while the left ends an inch or two above her knee. Here, unlike the upper portion, the fabric is a bit looser than before and flows rather than sticks. Oddly enough, this dress – in a way – actually seems to mimic the structure of the usual funeral attire, besides the obvious discrepancies that is. Moderately fancy black dress shoes are alway paired with this dress. A durable suit of armor is the last of her owned garments. It is silverish in its shade and is made from a metal that is non-lethal or deadly for dragons (for obvious reasons). Its general design is like those of stereotypical knight’s armor, excluding the helmet and including a blue-fabriced cape that starts at her shoulders and extends to the back of her knees. On it is the engraving of a golden dove, her family’s insignia. She usually wears this into town in case any attempt to attack her, her dragon, or her companions.
The “accessories” within Ellis’ possession are mostly centered around her likeness to battle, with only truly being any sort of “decoration” for her. A thick leather belt is one of the more common accessories she wears, snug against her waist but not to a constricting degree. Very few pouches are present, but there are hook-like structures that can be used to hold some items. A rather large holster is connected to this belt, dangling down the right side of her body and slanting back and downwards. Within this holster is a broadsword – her weapon of choice, fitting her strong but slow attack style. Its hilt is wrapped in black leather in order to prevent the main material from damaging her hand. The symbol of the golden dove – same as the one on her cape – is also on the hilt, contrasting the silverish blade and black leather nicely. This belt and sword are strictly worn when in her armor and “training” getup, but are left behind when in her fancy attire. Instead, a knife along with its own holster are coupled with the dress – attached to her right thigh in order to keep it from plain sight. The only decorative item is also worn alongside her dress. It is a golden multi-chain necklace, fit with a variety of chain lengths and beads. Each chain seen is always a hair longer than the previous, leading to them all hanging down to various extents. The first of these coils around her neck, right overtop the section of dress that keeps the whole thing from falling, while the last goes a good distance past her collar bone. The first two chains along with the fourth and sixth (last) have smaller white beads scattered around each side of it with no consistency or pattern apparent. The third and fifth, however, have larger and more colorful ones. The third chain has medium sized green, red and orange beads along its front, with only one small green bean amongst them. The fifth has fruit shaped beads, akin to that of a sliced orange or tangerine, around its front while small white beads space themselves out in between the larger ones. Though not worn often, she appears fond of this necklace and despises the idea of others touching it.
This voice of this elegant warrior is one that could only be described as commanding. It holds power fit for a high ranking member of a military, perfect for giving orders that leaves no room for retaliation or discussion. To some, it is intimidating knowing that such a small being can command such a presence but it is only fitting for someone of her capabilities. The pitch of her voice is said to be medium, being smooth and honey sweet instead of rough and scratchy. Her tone can vary quite a bit, depending on the situation at hand. Typically it is one of harsh aggressiveness, designed for unapproving scoldings and snide remarks. It is mostly heard during her training sessions where she goes after the smallest of mistakes with cutting words, or when interacting with those she views as weaker than herself but not necessarily beneath her.

“I am not here to be your ‘friend.’ I’m here to prepare you for war. For battle. Now, get to work!”
“They took everything from me. So why should I show them any mercy?”
A prickly exterior is what Ellis de Montfort has begun to pick up over the past seven years, one riddled with hostility and stewing bitterness. The attack has changed much about, to the point where she and many others claim that she did truly die from it. She is a shell of her former self, varying greatly from her old peppy and optimistic self to the cold and borderline aggressive soldier she is today. Very few elements of the old her remain, being essentially an entirely separate person. Her sarcastic and snarky side is the only thing that truly remains from the past, twisted and distorted beyond belief. Instead of a tool to mess with friends and loved ones, her sarcastic and mocking remarks have turned into more cutting jabs – aimed to bash an individual rather than playfully tease them. Though, it seems that those closest to her still receive those playful ones, they are most certainly harsher than before. But she makes sure not to push too far around those she cares about.
The brown haired girl is thought to be a skilled teacher, having gained experience from those who taught her. She is well versed in communication and guidance, explaining exactly what she wishes to see as well as providing an example if needed. Her method of teaching can be adaptable as well, shifting slightly to best fit the quirks and personality of her student but always holding her usual harshness. However, it should be noted that she is quite strict – never pleased or lenient with mistakes or disobedience. Especially disobedience which will be met with extra training sessions or extended ones if given permission to do so. All orders and rules are to be followed unless contrary action is “necessary.”
Venege is something that this warrior has grown rather attached to following the war – a desire derived from watching her own family fall. She wishes for payback, wanting to take from those soldiers what they took from her – life. In the end, she did manage to fulfill this goal… but she cannot help but feel something about her actions. Something bad. Just the thought of what she did stings her heart like a stake of iron piercing a dragon’s scales. Did she even making the right choice?... Her confusion has only led to an even shorter fuse than before, with even the slightest thing going wrong being enough to enrage her. Now, anyone who crosses her is bound to expect some sort of retaliation. Nothing that extreme, but enough to make them think twice about doing such a thing. Her revenge tactics always seem to aim for their weakest aspect in the hopes of using it against them. While seeking out such vengeance, she can become defiant – highlighting the “unless necessary” exemption to her rule-stickler ways. Though, she mainly exhibits hesitation when instructed to do something else unless the one she is after did something that really set her off her short fuse. During this time, she is so determined to get payback that she all but ignores any orders thrown her way – acting recklessness and possibly even getting a few people on side injured if they attempt to follow. Upon seeing an injury, however, she’ll typically drop it and help them out first and foremost.
Although distant to most of her fellow riders and their dragons, Ellis cannot help but feel protective of them. The group has been through a lot and has come out on top despite it all, and she cannot imagine how she would feel if she were to lose any one of them. Even those she does not particularly like. They, besides her dragon, are all she’s got left. They are her family, no matter how annoying they actually are. She sticks by their side no matter what, acting as their shield in times of need and their sword in times of conflict. She does not rest until she ensures that they are safe, even if it costs her her life. It is during these times that she shows her logical and intelligent side, using rationale in order to keep her allies safe from harm. This part of her was present before the initial attack but greatly developed during the war. Now she can come up with plans on the fly, taking just a few moments to assess the situation before the best method of action. These plans are always done with full confidence in herself, trusting that she truly does have the capabilities. Or, were always. After what happened in the war… she cannot help but begin to doubt herself with every choice she makes.

Other:
- Ellis despises that blasted kingdom – the one that uprooted her life. She was just about to finally begin her lifelong dream of being a dragon rider when they attacked, taking away from her most she held dear. In her eyes, there is not a spec of good amongst any of the citizens of that kingdom. Or, at least... that was what she believed. Now, she’s not so sure.
- The brown haired warrior’s family was a decently wealthy one prior to the attack. While certainly not from those “pompous” and impeccably rich families – the ones that fault their accumulated dough in front of others – she was still well off, and was able to afford many things that some could only ever dream of. Shame it barely got put to use.
- Her father’s bloodline was known for producing fearsome warriors – ones to be revered and respected. Ellis is no exception to this trend, but chose not to truly involve herself in this occupation until after the loss of her family.
Surprisingly, I actually cannot think of another book or movie about dragons that I truly like (that I haven’t mentioned before). That is all except the Book of Revelations. It is genuinely an interesting read, and the addition of a dragon within it has always peaked my interest. It’s always fun ta read through it in an attempt ta understand what each part is truly referring ta. Like, is this an actual dragon, or was it simply a term John used ta describe something else? Now, if only I had the attention span ta finish the book and figure out the hard parts. ;-;
