Full Name: Taverien Cohen
Nicknames: Tav, Tavi. Don't use them.
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Role: Maiden
Occupation: She is a Ranger -- a specialized soldier of her kingdom that deals with diplomacy and strategy as much as she does warfare and combat.
Species: Dragon Shifter -- Winter Dragon

Appearance

This woman's human form is nice to look at, but she has never been described as a "bombshell" or anything of that sort. She is pretty, perhaps beautiful, but her features carry too much of a firm, steady, somewhat boyish confidence to support anything beyond that. She has an elegant, well-defined structure; a straight nose sits above thinner lips that are perpetually curled in a sort of cool, knowing ghost of a smile. Her gait is silent and graceful, which transitions into fluid, well-versed movements as she weaves through enemies or dances across the ballroom.

The air about her is not regal -- she has no royal blood to permit such a display of supposed insubordination -- but it is dominant, commanding. Her athletic, lean stature coupled with her confidence gives her the appearance of being taller than she is, though she could still be considered "lofty" at a solid 5'11 -- an above average height, but not necessarily the tallest woman out there. Her muscling appears deceptively soft when she is relaxed, but when tense, it becomes quite clear that she is not a limp noodle; a lifetime of being active, and the physical training she has received, have made for a wiry but firm strength.

Tavi's soft, thick hair isn't as long as most, and she goes back and forth between trying to let it grow out and cutting it all off. Currently, the ends reach the wings of her shoulder blades. Her hair is a silvery-blue, almost metallic, color. Her slightly narrowed eyes are built to match, though they take on a slightly purple hue in dimmer settings. These features contrast well with the more yellow undertones of her olive skin, and her slightly rosy lips prevent her from taking on a green tint.

Her voice is low and clear. Taverien does not mince words or beat around the bush, so the inflections may come across as hard or callous, but the change in her tone is obvious when she is actually irritated or being harsher. It's a lovely alto singing voice, though she rarely uses it as such; singing, while it is fun every once in a while, is generally considered a waste of time.

She doesn't wear jewelry outside of special occasions, but even then she can only bring herself to wear minimal pieces. If she's going to have to wear a dress, she likes them sleek, modest, and form fitting, not frilly, sparkly, poofy, or with sharp drops in hemlines and bodices. The simpler the better, though she will still look elegant. Her choice attire is breeches, boots, a shirt, and a jerkin, but she doesn't mind breeches and a riding dress with slits up to her hips on either side.

Dragon

13 feet to the shoulder -- Strong but lithe build -- Has short, fine fur rather than scales -- "Mane" extends from bridge of nose down midline all the way to tail tip, extends along wing ridges as well -- Longer pale fur matching mane grows along jawline down the middle of her neck about halfway -- Lion-like tail tuft -- Horns curve in towards each other slightly (think Egyptian depictions of cattle) -- Ice blue eyes -- Deep blue base with silvery dappling -- black talons match horns

Personality

EXPAND: Steady -- Calculating -- Detatched -- Charismatic -- Stubborn -- Somewhat altruistic -- Diplomatic -- Angel's heart, Devil's hand -- Witty and wily -- Boy's sense of humor -- Adaptable -- Reliable

Taverien is the epitome of even-keeled. She is slow to anger and is able to keep calm in the most stressful or angering situations, and while she does allow her emotions to be expressed, they are displayed in such a way that she often appears to be feeling less than she is. When she is truly fired up, the world is ending and someone's life is in danger.

Her steadiness makes her a choice candidate for one's trust. Secrets confided in her do not leave her mind or mouth, though she may act to intercept behaviors or plans she deems too dangerous, brash, or detrimental to the teller or someone else. She will always offer advice when asked for it and will take the analytical, logic-based approach before appealing to emotion.

History

Optional

Abilities

She has heightened senses of smell, sight, and hearing in either form. She is also impervious to cold weather, handling frigid conditions with ease. Only in her dragon form can she fly, breathe frost or ice shards, or control the air currents and temperatures around her.

Strengths

-Archery, agility, speed, and endurance

-Skilled with blades that aren't wielded with two hands

-Cold weather doesn't affect her

-Communication and leadership as well as knowledge of political affairs

-Outeating most anyone

Weaknesses

-Because she has skin and fur as a dragon rather than scales, there is very little extra protection or "armor" that the form gives her

-Unfortunately not flame retardant

-She is not subservient, so taking orders from snotty individuals results in a shorter temper with everyone else

-Human form is strong, but not so strong as to be considered "above average" when it comes to physical attacks without weapons

-A lack of water or a particularly dry climate makes her cold-related abilities much less impressive and effective

Likes

-Animals and young children

-Dancing, as long as it's similar enough to combat footwork

-Cold weather

-The color blue

Dislikes

-Hot or dry weather

-Being pushed around or having her emotions messed with

-Petulant, immature behavior from those who should know better. She will call it out

-Tight or crowded spaces

Crush: Meh

S.O./Spouse: Nope

Past Relationships: Open to an ex or two, but probably not much going on here

Kin: Open

Full Name: Aridam Fachnan
Nicknames: Ari
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Role: Knight
Occupation: Knight, though he is also used to help root out disloyal or problematic individuals in the courts
Species: Shapeshifter, Warlock

Appearance

Aridam is not a man who shows his true self, physically or otherwise. He lives a thousand lives all at once, constantly changing his face to best fit his wants. He may appear to be a short, frail old man one moment and a lanky windmill of a youth the next. Being an expert in the dark arts, or magic in general, has made this shape-shifting come as second nature. He never lets his walls down for others to see who he is; why would his face be any different?

Despite folks not always knowing him by one constant face, he does have a regular appearance. One could even go as far as to call him tall, dark, and handsome. When he is alone, he drops the act, and in the place of the decorated merchant or crippled geriatric stands a fairly normal looking young man. He is a couple inches over six feet tall and lithe, sporting a mildly triangular build that boasts broader shoulders and solid, straight legs. Ari's complexion is a tan one with much of his coloring coming from the sun, which provides him with faint farmer's tan lines during the hotter months. Short, black hair usually remains messy despite any effort he puts in to tame it. His youthful face is fairly angular and hosts a well-proportioned nose, mouth, and eyes. The latter are a cold, electric blue and are framed by dark eyelashes, making them all the more jarring. They sit beneath two sharp, slightly angled eyebrows. His face is smooth with no lines indicating any sort of emotion. No laughter crinkles, brow furrows, dimples -- nothing.

His body is scarred with many smaller, older marks crossing along his arms and torso, though there are a few larger, deeper ones that mark old wounds that tested his will to live. These are easily hidden, though, as the vast majority are located on his chest and stomach. As long as he is clothed (which he nearly always is), the only old gashes that show up could easily be passed off as accidents from carelessness, and many of them were -- but where's the fun in telling thatstory? For all anyone knows, he got them fighting dragons.

Aridam is not very expressive when he is his actual self. Any emotion he may be displaying is found behind his hard gaze or hinted at in his voice. When he is galavanting around in someone else's skin, though, he plays into the theatrics of it all. However he can best get a ride out of others, that is how he will look and act. Regardless of who he may be cosplaying as, he will always give off a dark, borderline-sinister air. He practically radiates chaos.

Personality

Personalitywise, he is an enigma even to himself. The "real" him has been buried so deep for so long, it may very well be lost forever. The main trait that is truly his is his overall cynicism, or an apprehension towards laying himself bare. Ari does not believe in "good people" -- they simply do not exist. Everyone has an agenda, every closet is packed with skeletons, every angel has demons. And Ari just loves to bring those demons out to play.

There is nothing innocent about him. He has portrayed himself to be the polar opposite of all that can be seen as good in the world. If there is a negative adjective to describe someone's personality, Aridam has probably done his best to display it on himself like a badge. Cheat, liar, Casanova, thief, murderer, callous, cruel, arrogant,... The list goes on. Any frail light of hope that springs up around him is immediately and harshly extinguished in despicable ways. He is loyal, though; at least he's got that going for him. And he's an honest thief. Arrogance is feigned; he doesn't struggle with self-esteem, but he doesn't see himself as "better than", either.

He also has a habit of, ah, ruining reputations. He discovered long ago that secrets were best exposed by someone other than the keeper. Many a nobleman, priest, monk, and high-ranking official have fallen victim to Aridam's antics. When these men and women start looking too perfect, when the Crown senses something is amiss, Ari finds and exploits their weaknesses. If he finds out that Friar Wendel has been sneaking out to break some celibacy vows, well, the whole town will have happened to see him loudly flirting with the ladies of the brothel. Ari hears that High Lord Aelic poisoned a member of the court? Wouldn't you know, Aelic was boasting about it at the pub while throwing ale canisters across the room last night.

Ari is a dangerous individual, but he takes his job seriously and would never jeopardize the king, queen, prince, or any of their loyal constituents. After all, his life has been dedicated to preserving and protecting them and their reign. He will absolutely come across as a snarky, selfish, terrifying cretin to those he interacts with, but to the few individuals that have seen the quiet, genuine side of him, he is just a young man buried beneath his many masks.

History

His childhood was unpleasant, but he never brings it up or seems bothered by it. He might not even remember it. All that matters is that he grew in his magical abilities and put them to use for personal gain at first before being recruited as a knight and switching loyalties from himself to the ruling family.

Abilities

He is very well-versed in magic, and he is strongest in conjuring and manipulating fire. His magic is mainly runes rather than verbal incantations or potions. Being a shapeshifter, he can also change his appearance and voice, but while he can manage somewhat feminine features, he can't change certain features.

Strengths

-Reading people

-Manipulation of magic and words

-Hand to hand combat and physical strength

-Lying, acting, and participating in other duping activities

Weaknesses

-Very easily irritated

-Has made everyone hate him, so he generally lacks true comrades

-Archery pisses him off; he never got the hang of it

-Potions and incantations

Likes

-Tempestuous weather

-Being alone and undisturbed

-Winning, foiling plans, and seeing results

-Animals and nature, but only secretly

Dislikes

-Sunshine or other "boring" weather

-Most people

-Being ignored or thwarted

-Greasy, fatty, or grisly food

Crush: Meh

S.O./Spouse: Nope

Past Relationships: He lets people think the worst, though if he has had any, they've been very few in number and likely serious -- at least on his end

Kin: Open

Other

I think he is complete. I also like Mater, but does that count?

NEARLY FINISHED WIP

Full Name:

Endellion Eyre Blackwood

Nicknames:

Delly, Ender, Little Shadow; used by younger brothers, close friends, and parents respectively. Do not call her by any of these.

As of late, she has been known by "The Voidwalker".

Age:

23 years

Gender:

Female

Role:

Maiden

Occupation:

Bounty Hunter

Species:

Mixed-breed Canine Shifter,

50% Padfoot, Black dog -maternal

50% Okuri-Inu -Paternal

Appearance:

If one were being honest in a description of this young creature, it would be that she is not the unique type of attractive or possesses a beauty that takes the breath from the lungs of those who set eyes on her, instead she is a lady who would perhaps be considered pretty but nothing particularly special, if one were using harsher terms to describe her. There is an appeal to her with the classic contrast of dark hair and eyes against fairer skin, one that is not unsightly by any means but holding an average beauty than a breathtaking one.

Endellion has inherited a mane of hair as black as the night, each ebony strand seeming to reflect a faint coldly blue cast in the daylight as if the brightness is caught and held when viewed at the proper angle, and a far more mysterious sight when sighted in a darker setting with the fine strands appearing to fade from tangibility into wisps of shadowed smoke at the ending tips. An inexplicable darkness is everpresent within the locks of the young lady, which is often trimmed to brush and coil upon the narrow length of her shoulders or occasionally sheared so that the natural curl of the hair is present as it curves along the bend of her jaw, the element of shadow is especially noticeable when she ventures into the daylight, the radiant beams of light do not touch the length of the hair to bring out the subtler browns that often exist within the color of similiar hair, instead the absymal shade remains and even seems to subtly draw the light into the blackness.

The eyes set among pale skin and framed by dark lashes are what are often referred to as almond-shaped, the contours of which flow in a graceful manner so that the wider shape does not look out of place on her face. The optics that belong to this appearance of hers are deep in color, a brown as rich a darkness as what upturned earth shares, the depth of these circles of most soil are an interesting thing to behold. With her dark hair draping down around her face and equally dark eyes, Endellion's visage creates a rather striking image.

There is a feature to these eyes that betray her to having the blood of a supernatural rather than that of an ordinary human, one that is at times subtle and sometimes glaring. Those circles of earth, such a common coloration among creatures, display a scorching orange shade when exposed to bright light; as if the irises were set ablaze by the illumination. That particular type of change in color can be regarded as a natural undertone that had simply been brought into view by the object radiating rays of light, if not for the brillancy of the orange, like burning embers. And in addition to this fascinating characteristic, when experiencing an intense level of anger or otherwise passion, the incandescence of her secondary form flicker sinto existance; the flash of a hellish color upon a normally dark surface is warning enough to leave her be or face the consequences.

This young woman possesses a slender figure and a graceful manner of movement that could be considered an allusion to the beastial form that can be assumed at will, combined with the smaller stature of 5'3 without any elevating footwear, coalesces into an image of a nigh delicate thing that would be rather found in a bakery rather than the harsh wildness. Despite the initial impression of a lissome being akin to the faeries of old, there is a lean strength that lies beneath the pale expanses of her arms and stretches of legs shaped by regular activity and exercise, the graceful form of this young lady is shaped by rigorous work that is required for the path she walks.

Secondary form:

A silken coat of a black so pure that it seems to belong to no mortal creature, but instead of the cloth that made the deepest expanse of the galaxy where no light touches, is what many who view this young creature in her alternative form will notice. 'Tis a beauty that no other mundane canine or animal can match, for the delicate wisps of hair that trail from her forelegs and chest appear to be as fine as a mist in the cool morning; and the slightly thicker strands of fur layered upon her frame hold a lustrous quality in the manner of a finely burnished article of jewelery.

From the flowing wisps of hair that drape from the long curve of her tail to the smoothly curving fur that settles upon the depth of the chest and the powerful arch of the neck is a quality that is shared in the twolegged form that can be assumed within the blink of an eye, the silken fur trailing from her form gradually shift from the absolute black that seems to leech the light from the sources around her to a nigh immaterial substance that sways with the movements of her form yet maintaining an appearance that is rather similiar to wisps of smoke, as if her pelage was constructed not of the fur that blankets the forms of common beasts but of pure shadow and the vapour that arises from a fire.

There is a sinister element to the optics set within the slightly domed cranium, for instead of colored a deep, earthy brown or the crystalline blue of the northern ice, the smoulder of burning embers is the coloring that she possesses. The red-orange of a banked fire or that of the serpentine banners of flame is a brillant thing, a light gleams from behind those eyes as if the glow of the stars or the steady radiance of live coals were imbued into these hellish optics. The combination of a pelt as black as a starless sky and incandescent eyes that blaze the color of a raging inferno is striking, such has characteristic has elevated her kind's reputation from a canine afoot at the wrong time to a creature similiar to hellhounds or heralds of dread.

The manner in which she moves within this shape is with impossibly graceful paces as if she is not a creature formed from flesh and blood and bone but rather a soul crafted from the farthest reaches of the universe that hold everything that is dark and immaterial and coldly eerie, it is the sinuous ripple of sleek muscle beneath flowing fur that belongs to the hunting feline and it is the strange sense of weightlessness whose quality is matched only by the drifting of mist into an evening or the ashen curls of smoke flowing into the limitless sky as a breeze snatches the perilously elegant vapor. But perhaps the strangest element of this creature's movements is that the clicking of canine nails and the thump of massive paws against the soft earth or rasping breaths of air gasped into a jaw lined with teeth as long as daggers and twice as sharp, only the deceptively light padding of paws are audible when she is on the move, the sound of paws upon the flooring or ground is occasionally accompanied by the chilling sound of a chain trailing alongside the quick steps following behind a soul or stalking edgeways through the shadows.

Underneath the coat that cascades down her form like a silken waterfall, her construction is that of the ancient hunting hounds that coursed their prey through the scorching sands and bitterly cold wastelands of ice and snow in the veils of time.

The lines that compose this female's silhouette seem to flow across the vision of onlookers without encountering a sharply defined edge. Indeed the sight of her is striking with an aristocratic head, elongated to a fineness unique among like creatures, seamlessly connecting to a willowy figure of such a grace both within motion and at leisure that it bespeaks of the monarchs of the ancient world. From the nigh delicate length of forelegs and hindquarters that hold a fearsome strength barely contained by the powerful muscles, to the graceful curve of the spine that lends the impression of an energy simmering 'neath the flowing strands of fur that is primed to detonate with action within the stretch of a thought; this young creature is a picture of the refinement seen within the world of those who bore crowns and the title of royalty, with a strength unsoftened by the elegance that is her portrayal.

While her secondary form commands an elegancy that borders on the supernatural, many who glimpse her at such an angle that the telltale radiance of her eyes is not visible may misthink her to be a ordinary canine; it is in those circumstances that it is her size that proves the paranormal lineage that her very existance displays. Measuring at the standard point of height for many creatures, the shoulders to the paws, this fearsome hound towers at an astounding 4 feet. This factor of her appearance contributes to the nigh sinister ambiance that is emanated by her presence, the height striking a chord in the instincts of many that the canine that stands before them is not a typical beast, yet there is a sophistication wrought of kingdoms and monarchs that tangles with the ominious sense that is often surrounding her like a draping cloak, the impression that she is a timeless Fae creature from stepped out from some ancient world of magic and beings as breathtaking handsome as they are inconceivable dangerous.

Personality:

Oh, how different this young creature used to be, perhaps once she had been full of the energetic wildness that is present in many youth before the constraints of society leash them as surely to the ground as a tree takes root in the ground, once she had been joyful for the dawning of a new day and full of the security of the life she had within her community. The change that has taken place is a tragedy.

Perhaps the most stark difference that has made its home within her personality is the coldness, it has frosted over the part that used to be nigh carefree and radiated a warm happiness in the manner that the coming of winter sweeps over the land and locks the vulnerable plants beneath its frozen grasp, the past is of no importance now that the first thing that many acknowledge of this lady is the coolness that surrounds her like a cloak. As cold as a winter storm and twice as untouchable she seems to be, the work of her past few years and the path she had taken have served to cultivate the reservation she had had into a particularly more aloof state, the friendliness and the emotions have drained from her heart. Or so it seems to onlookers.

This young lady is a fiercely independent creature, sometimes it seems as if she even goes so far as to scorn the company of those who are not within the close group of individuals whom she considers friends, truthfully Endellion is more at home in the deepest wilderness of her homeland as she chases the scent of her latest trget than anywhere else. She the definition of what others typically think of when the term 'introvert' is touched upon in regards to another person, she is most often found in a particularly dark corner to observe others in a social setting and the manner in which she interacts with others can only bring the quality of reservation to mind.

It is only a fool who mistakes Endellion to be anything but smart, the mind of this lady is a sharply discerning one that holds many things inside, she is an intelligent person and though she does not often speak unless directly addressed with an inquiry, the sentiments and words that flow from her mind and into the world are without a doubt well-thought out, the cadence of someone who had turned the idea over in her hand many times before speaking it into being is the distinctive carriage of the ideas she proposes to others. Perhaps she is not the most intellectual person within a room or the one with the sharpest mind, after all there are many people who possess a quickness of mind that have received recognition for their studies and findings through the centuries and many surprisingly bright souls that can be found simply by conversing with them, but she does hold an unmistakable intelligence, and that in itself is a valued quality.

While she has many faults and just as many aspects that are to be praised in their nature, one of the more apparent faults that she possesses is stubborness. It can be an impossible task to sway her from a course of action once she has set her mind to it, she sinks her teeth into a goal or idea and refuses to relent with a determination that garners as much respect from those who know her as the inherent frustration of having to deal with her in this mindset, although there is a possibility of her changing her mind by herself or by the convincing of friends, there is a higher chance that she will simply think about the action for a time then return to it as stubborn as ever. Truly, she is not one to allow herself to waver in front of others or in the face of danger, a trait that is as admirable as it is maddening.

Endellion is the kind of person who is better to not be crossed in many shapes or forms, for once her ire has been roused and drawn, it is a sure thing that she will not let the insult or wrong go. This is the side of her that had pushed her onto the path of hunting those who had taken the lives of her family and friends as a teenager, this is the side that has allowed her to endure rigorous training to allow for the goal she had set herself to. She is highly vengeful for those who had purposefully taken action against her or more importantly, her loved ones. She will take an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a soul for a soul, and she will not be able to rest until she has found her justice and vengeance, even if means to take years and if she has to track the perpetrator to the ends of the earth.

One of the positive aspects of her personality that has survived the change that she allowed to take place, is her loyalty to those who have managed to win it from her cautious hands. Once she is assured that the individual in question is trustworthy, for she has learned to be careful about who she calls a friend, then she is perhaps the most faithful person that can be found. She will stay by the side of her friends and loved ones with the same steadfastness that is found in her stubbornness, as long as she still draws breath then she will stay with the ones who have earned her loyalty, and she will never be swayed from their side by outside forces. It is similarly difficult to break this loyalty, the choice to remain even when there is a period of nothing but lows and even occasional nasty comments is one that she would make without a second thought, for it takes a tremendous effort to persuade her to considering a person an enemy instead of a friend and ally, but it can be done. Though considering her temperment regarding those who have wronged her, breaking the trust of this creature is not a good idea.

In addition to her intense loyalty, alongside that quality comes the characteristic of protectiveness towards her friends and loved ones. Never will you find a greater protector of both physical and emotional means than Endellion, although she does have the tendency to be quite honest with others no matter what, she will absolutely not allow anyone near who looks to feels to be malicious in intentions. Of course for some who may be more independently inclined, this aspect of shielding others from harm may come as a slight irritation, though it is not meant to be something like that. Her motivations stem from the memory of when she was younger, the feelings of coming back from a run in the woodland to be met with the sight of her family dead and their blood staining the grass red, the helplessness that had overtaken her at that time, she does not want the same fate to befall any of those she loves again and she does not wish to experience those particular emotions again. She did not have the strength or skill or capability to protect her family then, but she does now.

It often does not seem like it, but Endellion does have a softer side that is occasionally shown to others, most often those within her group of friends and trusted allies. It is not as stark a change as it could be, but there is a marked shift in her demeanor when in the company of friends. The sharpest edges of her words are softened with the tone her voice takes on, the tolerence for mischief is greatly increased and she even will seek to repay any jokes played on her, and she is less cold and more warmer to those who have earned it. It is not often that outsiders see the kinder part of her that exists, and she has a preference to keep it that way. She is not someone who wears her heart on her sleeve anymore, and her choice to remain aloof to all but a select few is a willing one. It is possible to work through those shields she has erected for herself, it can be a difficult process and even more so if she does not approach first with the intention of striking a friendship or otherwise relationship, but it is possible.

History:

The beginnings of Endellion's history is marked by tragedy, shrouded by mysteries that have plagued the townfolk of her homeland ever since the whispers of a hunter that strikes from the cloak of night arose, steeped in a flaming desire for vengeance that haunted each step that had been taken towards the path that had been woven by the stars.

Once, over a decade ago, the life Endellion led was a happy one and one to be treasured by many. In a country foreign to Illasia and in a humble village was born the firstborn daughter to a mother who held the role of the primary huntress, a position that was highly valued and highly dangerous, and to a father who held the equally esteemed positions of the village blacksmith and protector to those housed within the community, and there she lived as the sole child of her household until her younger brothers, twins as it happened to be, were welcomed into the world five years later after her own birth.

The fearsome heritage that Endellion carried within her, marks of a supernatural lineage present in the hellish flash of red and orange intermingled and in the frequent occurrences of shifting form that was uncontrolled in that period, was given no mind by those villagers who had lived so long with her parents. It was not a uncommon sight to see three rangy pups barely the height of a domestic cat wandering through the homes, nor was it to witness a far taller canine with flowing fur the color of the void between stars slinking through the shadows of the trees with her nose to the ground and eyes to the sky, yet it was unusual to witness the black shape of a pacing lupine with slightly ragged fur with his eyes towards the forest and nose turned to the breeze.

It was here with her mother and father, star-crossed lovers as they were with the blood of differing lineages running in their veins, and with her young brothers, mirror images of their father in both forms in the same manner as she was a small echo of her mother, that the peaceful life she had held was abruptly disrupted.

It was soon after she had passed her twelfth birthday and her brothers their seventh, it was when she had been shifted and coursing through the lush midday forest in search of the small game her mother had begun to teach her to track. Oblivious to the vicious band of hostiles, insurgents looking to spread terror across the small pockets of commonfolk and building strength to tackle those who lived in bustling cities, beginning to initiate a confrontation with those who lived in the community she was reared in. Endellion did not realize anything was amiss even several hours later with the wind at her face, pushing away the sickingly metallic scent of spilled blood and the shrieks of humans clashing or fleeing and the furious snarls of shadowed canines who stood tall as horses.

It was only when the young creature had snapped a unfortunate rabbit's neck in her narrow jaws and had turned around to leave when she detected something out of place, it was the set of larger pawprints pressed into the soft ground that were far larger echoes of her own prints that led her to one of her mother's traps, it was the sight of her mother's form laying broken and bloodied and motionless in the depths of that pit that devastated her. It had been impressed in her mind that she never dare tread near one of the pit-traps, and so the pup did not attempt to leap down nor did she find a way to descend safely into the steep pit, she did not give voice to the encompassion wave of wrongness and horror that had washed over her nor did she fold her legs to the ground and lie there for anything to grab in their jaws. Instead, driven by the instincts that were strongest in her canine form and by a numbness that was gradually fading from nothing to realization, she turned away from the gruesome sight and sped towards the village at a pace she had never seen fit to take.

Her churning fear had been proven true when she burst from the thick foliage of the forest line, the sight of scorched wood and the scent of blood hanging heavy in the windless air halting her surely as a physical barrier. As she explored the ruins of the village, the instincts seething higher as she struggled to maintain a control she no longer wanted in the face of the devastation, she was stopped by the slain form of her father, the wolf-like form not having dissipated into wisps of shadow and smoke like her mother's kind, and by the smaller shapes of her brothers. The line between fear and a rage she had never felt before blurred, the burning hatred in her furred chest blocked the horrible sights from a vision that was turning red, and before she could even process the thoughts flying through her skull, the young canine shifter whirled around and set her sights on the barely visable shapes of people entering the forest on the opposite side.

It was in the darkening forest that she attempted to take her revenge on those who had eliminated her pack, instincts grabbing a hold of her mind and howling for blood and death, she plunged into the midst of the bloodied band. Chaos insued, the shadowed hound with long fur and the size of a wolf struck with fangs holding a deadly sharpness, and was lucky for the most part until the insurgents gathered their wits. In the end, it was a fortunate thing that Endellion fled with bleeding wounds and adrenaline crackling through her veins. Returning with a lowered tail to the destroyed village, she did not return to the human shape she had occupied, instead howling the loss of her territory and the overthrow of her pack to the clear skies and shining moon. Morning stirred the birds from their slumber when she decided to leave, the wisdom her mother and father both bestowed upon her in a case in which they were wounded or even dead drawing her away from the stink of death.

For a period of several years, Endellion primarily stayed in the shape of the otherworldly canine, staying in the shelter of the deepest parts of the forest in the day and daring to venture out onto the roads to travel in the dead of night. Soon rumors spread about a shadowed beast, with eyes of coal and a snarl that shook the air with its power, wandering the paths at night. The pattern of her days was simple and so she grew in strength and cleverness as she survived the wilds. It was when she was scarcely fourteen she encountered a most curious man, broad-shouldered and battle-scarred and smelling faintly of blood, astride his chestnut steed. Her paws stalked the man through the forest and onto the moonlit path that had marked the end of the territory she had claimed, he did not startle at the sudden sight of a sighthound blocking the way with burning eyes nor did the steed falter as the man reined it to a stop. No harsh words greeted her and the flash of the sword being worn at his hip was absent as he raised his voice and called in a mild tone carrying a note of caution, a request to pass.

And so she moved, and so did she follow the curious man when he urged the horse to continue, she did not know what urged her to follow when she could have gone on her way, but she tracked the gleaming metal of his armor until the light of a town flicked to life. She lingered near, the human side drawn to the promise of company with the instinctual piece deterred by the sound and presence of people. The man soon returned with a plate of food she had not scented since before that fateful day as a gift for the grace of an escort she had unintentionally granted him, and he spoke in tones that allowed curiosity and caution in equal measure. He did not speak as she ate the offering, and she merely gave a intent stare, trying to determine what it was that about him that had drawn her from her territory, before melting into the shadows.

Thus began a new chapter of her life. Endellion tailed the man, a former mecenary wandering the her home country as she soon discovered, for several months as a canine before finding him as a human, and he was wise enough to not question his sudden shadow. Her instincts acknowledged that she had needed a protector until she was older, and latched onto the adult as a capable guardian, whether or not she realized in the moment. Near the age of fifteen did she finally approach with a request, knowing he held the knowledge of who she was, to train her as a warrior. Plainly laying the reasons at his feet and stating that she was a skilled huntress and would not deplete his supplies greatly, he eventually agreed after nearly a day and after the persistent needling from her.

Her training was hard and he was an instructor who prefered to say his piece only once, but she persisted through the years of swordwork and strength-building with a stubborness that was admirable. At the end of the six and a half years she traveled with the former mercenary, she thought of the man as an adoptive father and he felt she was a child he had never been given the opportunity to have, and they parted ways for a time. The trail of vengeance, burning as brightly in her heart as it had those years when she was a child, she took menial bounties and searched the continent for those who had torn her life down. She built her reputation and it was strengthed as she hunted the whispers of insurgents to the kingdom, she eventually slew the first with teeth and tracked the individual tracks to their respective sources over the long year. When the dust settled, the insurgents turned in to the security force one by one, Endellion found that she did not regret the choices she had made.

Even after that period, the end of which saw her halfway through her twenty-second year, she did not retire from the business of bounty hunting and instead continued.

Abilities:

-Mild invisibility?

-Teleportation or Aura of Undetection (aka, being able to influence others into not really processing she is there)

-Something regarding the unearthly roar that the folkloric Padfoot utters

-Sensing when someone is near death/sensing death in general

Strengths & Weaknesses:

+ Element of surprise+

The main aspect of Endellion's success as a bounty hunter and in quite a few facets of life largely unrelated to her work is the classic element of surprise, it is an interesting thing that even the most formidable person can be defeated by a smaller combatant if they strike unexpectedly. Typically put into use in combat situations or when preparing to apprehend a target, she has learned to beat her opponent with shock before the battle has even begun, it greatly increases her chances of coming out victorious if she is swift and decisive in her assault.

+Wilderness Survival+

The manner in which she had been raised and the two-ish years she spent on her own in the forests of her homeland left their mark, she had the makings of a great survivalist when her mother began to train her more in the ways of the hunter, and that foundation only was built upon through trial and error. Albeit a large amount of her knowledge is applicable only in her secondary form, she does remember the basics of dangerous plants and tracking as a human. Regardless of her current form, Endellion knows well how to survive in the wild, and she does it well.

+Persistent+

While the opinion on this aspect varies from person to person, depending on her relationship with individuals, it can be said that this young creature's persistence is quite admirable. She knows what she wants to do, and she does it with little indecision. She cannot be swayed from a course easily, and she is loathe to relinquish her personal opinion on even the most controversial topics. It has aided her throughout the years, and is a trait that has proven more helpful than detrimental so far.

+Loyal+

The steadfastness of her loyalty is a quality that many should admire, while acting as a double-edged sword, this trait is more so positive than anything else. When Endellion has extended her trust and loyalty to anyone, she will stay by the side of those few with the same stubbornness that she does everything else with, and betrayal is the last thought from her mind when she has decided to be loyal to a soul. There should be no doubts in the recipient of her faithfuless, for she will not waver in the face of the gravest dangers or the hardest task for those she has allowed to become friends and loved ones.

+Speed & Agility+

Such as the element of surprise is an ally to her, it could not be easily achieved unless she had the gifts of swift speed and agility on her side. For what she lacks in strength in her human form, she makes up for in the speed of her strikes and the nimbleness of her feet.

+Being Underestimated+

It is not often that Endellion is first registered as a threat, typically the opposite is assumed of her when a person first lays eyes on her, no matter how fearsome her reputation or how confident her movements are. She is lithe and short in comparison to many, and her appearance lends the impression of a lady who is not a threat in any shape or form, a foolish thing to assume of her. It often helps, the automatic thought that she could not possibly be anything, that any rumors are magnified. Being underestimated is perhaps her largest strength yet.

-

-Hand-to-Hand Combat-

Despite being trained in the case that she has to fend for herself without a weapon and without the ability to shift, Endellion simply is not good at close combat. She is not built for that, she is made for speed and stealth and agility, and it is rather difficult to translate her preferred method of combat into close quarters. She is vicious enough when grappling to put up a good fight, but the truth is quite plain, she is not effective at unarmed combat.

-Strength-
As one may guess from a mere glance at Endellion, strength is not on her side. Yes, she has built muscle from practical work and training and her preferred profession, but she never will be someone who can use brute strength. She is suited to speed than power, and it is evident in her build.

-Stubborness-

While persistence is a admirable trait, oftentimes Endellion turns it furthed into stubbornness, which is less so. While not a fool, she simply will continue on a chosen path out of pure stubbornness and stand by many things because of it, she can easily be overly persistent and that is where it turns into a weakness of hers.

-Highly Vengeful-

Not much should have to be said about this one. One may only look at her history, and see what can come of this quality. It is fortunate that she has not had a situation arise in which her desire for vengeance consumes her, and it can oh so easily do so. It truly is a weakness that is best rid from anyone, though it does not seem to be going anywhere soon with Endellion.

-Loved Ones-

The loyalty in which she displays for those she loves and trusts is a wonderful thing, but in turn it makes her loved ones a weakness of hers, for she will drop everything for them and threatening her friends and loved ones is a predictable way to draw her into a trap. A double-edged sword this is, loved ones can strengthen her as much as hinder her.

-Very Blunt-

Her entire childhood does not lend any hand to tactfulness. Those in her village did not see need to dance around a topic, they were not nobles and no one of importance would ever visit, and so it was easier to jump to the point. The years after this period did even less to cultivate subtle words, for a mercenary needs no such tact. As a result, Endellion is quite honest and very blunt, it is easy to offend someone or hurt their feelings by saying the truth, something that she does without a thought.

-One may ask themself after reading Endellion's form, what led to her coming around as a Maiden? It's simple, in her very recent hunt, she may or may not have gotten in trouble with the law, accidentally; a good friend who happened to be a noblewoman bailed her out, and Endellion therefore owe the lady a favor. Well, one thing led to another and, here she is! XD

-Most of the backstory and strengths and weaknesses parts are not my best writings, but I was rushing them and I am tired. So. Yeah.

I've always liked Mulan a lot, the character and the movie.

Full Name:
Lenobia Dove Creole
.
Nicknames:
Lenny, Little Dove
.
Age: 20
.
Gender: female
.
Role: Maiden
.
Occupation: Daughter of a Baron and Baroness from a distant kingdom
Species: Celestial Nymph/Dryad
.
Appearance:
credits to Djarn on picrew
Lenobia isn't what she would call beautiful, but she knows that she is far from ugly. Her sharp blue eyes seem to be her signature feature, being as they are the feature most veiwed by others. Although under her veil is a rather appealing nose and pink plump lips. Lenobia's smooth face is framed by auburn locks, that can become very unruly in high levels of humidity.
She stands at 5'1" and sometimes thinks of herself as defective, because most of her siblings, on the dryad side, are all taller than 5'9". Long arms and legs give her a graceful appearance, eventhough Lenobia feels uncoordinated most of the time. When feeling ornery Lenobia flaunts her wide hips and larger bosom with thin dresses that cling to her pale skin.
.
Nymph Appearance:
When in touch with her abilities or around her natural environment, Lenobias appearance shifts. When it is night, her skin gains a dark blue(almost black) shade and otherwise nonnoticable freckles appear across her body like stars and her hair becomes a white color, with streaks of silver or gray, like the moon. Her eyes become dark pools of black.
When Lenobia is near trees her skin takes on a green hue, that looks similar to that of a leaf. Her hair gets darker, browning and looses some of its curl, changing to be straighter and more like bark. Her eyes seem to glow like orange amber in the sunlight.
.
Personality:
Many of her fathers freinds would say that Lenobia is a perfect little Lady, prim and proper. They would say that their own daughters could take a few notes from Lenobia. Her siblings would pray that they not have to be alone with Lenobia, who would drag them into her schemes of mischief and ultimatley get them in trouble with the maids.
Lenobia loves to think that she is a master of disguise, and she can fool many, but Thanatos and Mrs. Creole always seem to be around to bust her act. She has a mean tongue that only seems to hold itself in the presence of someone that holds enough power to get her in trouble.
On the upside of her personality Lenobia loves children, if she had the choice she would be around kids a majority of her free time. Her voice seemingly drops its mean tones and becomes sweet and sugar. Animals also hold a special place in her heart, especially her Saint Bernard Lola.
Although she seems rude and ornery, or sweet an dependable, Lenobia is loyal, even after a super rough fight or the lowest of blows, she'll come back to a familiar face.
.
History:
Lenobia has always been a mischievous child, and kept most of her habits into adulthood. So it shouldnt be a suprise that she has a long history of causing problems with the help around Creole manor. She ends up fixing the damages in the end to avoid consequences. She has a good relationship with most of her siblings, but best of all with Thanatos. Most would say that Lenobia lives the same life as any noblewoman, and other than tea parties and balls, her life is plain.
That assumption is rather wrong, because Lenobia cant stand to miss out on life and ruined her betrothal to avoid having the boring life of a married woman scorned by an unfaithful husband. How did she get out of her betrothal?, you may ask. Lenobia refused to marry him, and when her words didnt get through to her mother and father she spread rumors of her rash actions and carelessness among her peers. Sooner than later it got to her fiance, and disgusted with the falsehoods(that he believed) he broke of the agreement.
Lately Lenobia has filled her days with activities, and has been forced by her mother to join the other maidens in the kingdom of Illyria.
.
Abilities:
-She can communicate with plants in a way. Lenobia is able to speak with trees and the occasional shrub or flower.
-When it is night time, or she is in a forest, Lenobia is able to camoflauge rather easily.
- Lenobia can also project her thoughts to her siblings telepathically, which comes in handy
- she can make the freckles on her body glow in the dark, and use this as a form of communication.
.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
-Lenobia is a good swimmer but hates to swim with others after an accidental almost drowning
- She is loyal, but afraid of being replaced or left behind
-Lenobia is swift and agile, although she hates to run most of the time.
.
Likes:
kids
animals

.
Dislikes:
hot days

huge roaring fires

She used to be betrothed, but her actions broke it off

Full Name:
Thanatos Crow Creole
.
Nicknames:
Death, Lovely Crow
.
Age:
22
.
Gender:
female
.
Role:
Servant
.
Occupation:
Thanatos serves as a lady in waiting to her younger sister, Lenobia.
.
Species:
Celestial Nymph/Lampade
.
Appearance:
credits to Djarn on picrew
Thanatos knows she is beautiful and takes pride in her features. Her favorite being her light blue eyes that give other a reasurance, Thanatos also likes her eyes because thats what people can tell her emotions by. Under her veil, she shares many features with her little sister. Her nose is like any other wide-ish and small, dark lush lips sit in a perpetual smile. Thanatos's hair is light blonde and wavy, although she usualy wears it in braids.
She stands at 5'10" and likes her height very much. Long arms and legs give her an elegant look, and that does not betray her. Although Thanatos likes to wear lighter or darker colors depending on her mood, she tries to wear more flowy dresses, because she does not like to flaunt her bosom her hips. Her olive skin is smooth and very irriatable, so most of her dresses are smooth and soft.
.
Nymph Appearance:
When in touch with her abilities or around her natural environment, Thanatos's appearance shifts. When she is close to the death or someone who is dying, her skin darkens to a velvety black shade, her hair is a shade or two lighter a seems to slightly float, as if she is under water. the Iris of her eyes seem to loose their blue color and have a gray hue instead.
Much like Lenobia, If it is night time, Thanatos's skin is dark blue, silver feckles display the constellations across her body. Hair has streaks of silver that shine brightly in light. Her eyes become something like black holes.
.
Personality:
Thanatos does not like to create mischeif and would rather sit back and watch it play out. She is the true lady when compared to any of her sisters, holding her tongue and getting along with mostly everyone. She would rather have the boring life than the eventful one because, dealing with Lenobia is eventful enough.
Thanatos is sugar and spice and everything nice, even to people she would rather hate. She loves children and animals, plants and people. Even though Thanatos is quite, she has much to say, and can convey her thoughts in just a few words. Many confuse Thanatos's reserved nature as a sign of being an introvert, but thats also false, because she loves being around others.
.
History:
Thanatos has an interesting history, and some would think she would be ashamed of it. Being a half sister to 5 of her 10 siblings would be normal if her father had been married to her mother, but he was not. Thanatos is what many call an illegitamite child, but her father has many, and is proud of them all. So Thanatos feels there is nothing to feel ashamed of.
When she was young, around 10, she was tasked with taking care of Lenobia because Lenobia wouldnt behave for anyone else but her big sister. Thanatos takes great pride in this feat, knowing that her word was always final in her unruly sisters heart.
But there was a time when she didn't look after Lenobia, and that was when she married her betrothed. At 19, Thanatos enjoyed tea parties and balls, all the festivities, she was a normal Lady, and so marriage was normal as well. What Thanatos didnt realize until later is that her husband was dying of a terminal illness, and she wouldn't be able to live her life with him like she had hoped.
.
Abilities:
-She can communicate with the recently deceased
-When it is night time, Thanatos is able to camoflauge rather easily.
- Thanatos can also project her thoughts to her siblings telepathically, which comes in handy
- much like a ghost she can be invisible for very short periods of time
.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
Thanatos is smart, but slow
She is talented with her abilities, but they drain her energy quickly
Thanatos knows everything about Lenobia, and is afraid of losing her
.

Sorry I haven't been on, work has kicked my behind and made my activity shadey.

I still want this rp to succeed but I have hit a bit of a wall.
Im struggling with Ikenna. Im not sure why, but I genuinely just have no connection to him and no desire to work on him or rp him.

So Im wondering what some possible solutions are to allow this Rp to continue but not force me to continue with a character I don't care for.

Im thinking I can either completely revamp Ikenna and remake him into something/someone else.

Or

I could potentially release the character and offer him to someone else. He's supposed to be like Main Character status., and he's wound up as little more than a side character for me.
