MORANA BLACK
"I'd watch the world burn before I care for you."
Female - 26 - Attendee - Human w/ Enhancements
Full Name
Morana "Moth" Soleil Black
Plot twist! Moranas last name is not Black - that is the name given to everyone in the Reign. Her maiden name is Azaera, but obviously, that's not in use and hasn't been for quite some time. Using her dead name is against the rules.
Nicknames
Moth - This nickname is very old for Morana. As a young girl, probably about five or six, her mother constantly had to tell her that bringing in moths in these small jars she had dug up in the cabinets of their small cabin was not good as moths, to her mother, were considered a bad omen. They signaled destruction, which wasn't something that Morana understood as a young girl. However, now she really really does. She normally introduces herself as Moth unless talking to someone superior.
Deed - This nickname rose quickly as it became apparent that she would work for anyone. Basically to say she would do any sort of job or 'deed', her superiors decided that it would be a nickname that stuck.

Moth is a woman of a unique appearance. Eye-catching for different reasons, she possesses characteristics that you wouldn't exactly see everyday on just an ordinary human. She stands at five foot ten, holding herself with a rather lean muscular frame that is normally hidden by her attire choice. Her skin is that of a deeper warm brown with more red undertones, some freckles obvious among her face and throughout other parts of her body (shoulders, slightly on her arms, and chest).
Personality
Extroverted || Persuasive || Devoted || Loyal || Confidence (on top of cockiness) || Adventerous || Determined || Obsessive
Morana is the definition of extroverted. She presents herself as out-going and very talkative, being able to hold a good conversation with just about anyone - even those she doesn't favor all that much. She's pretty good with bouncing off of other's, but doesn't necessarily mirror someone's personality. Instead, she reads the room — her intelligence is clear in conversation as well. When she speaks, she makes every point clear and doesn't waste any time. However, things like small talk and just getting to know someone are some of her favorite conversations. She enjoys to know the little details about those around her and considers herself thoughtful when she remembers said details. She has a love for meeting new people, even if nothing comes of it. For this, Morana is quite known around the kingdoms, so her reputation may vary from place to place. Most would say she's a devoted worker, but some others... not so much. That tends to happen when you're in the line of work she is.
On top of having good conversation, Morana is quite persuasive. She'll do anything she can to get things to go her way. Some could possibly consider this as some manipulation going on, but that's never been her intention. Convincing someone to do something had always been easy for her, but she would never make someone do something that would possibly put them at risk, especially someone she cares about. She is still respectful of boundaries in most cases, but in others a different course of action may have to take place. She surely has a way with words, articulating them in such a way that would make you think that just maybe she's a mind reader of sorts. However that is not the case. Again, she reads people well and the room, so what she tells you is clearly based off of what you are seemingly interested in. She plays a game well of maintaining a certain status with someone, and this just may be why.
Morana is a devoted worker. Once she is set on something, she's not going to half-ass complete it just to get it done. No. She will work and work and work, no matter how long it takes or no matter how tired she is. She has been taught to complete things even if you don't get the exact accomplishment you would prefer, she's disciplined to work either way. This is also obvious to superiors. In a kingdom or those in her group, she's always done any task she's asked and completes it with ease. For this, some may consider her something of a pet — wanting to complete things to the fullest for her superiors doesn't always read well when you look at it from an outside point of view. The reason behind this is mainly her training, but also because doing certain tasks could giver her useful information. In a way, Moth plays both sides of a coin whenever she is asked. However, she is more devoted to her main line of work — killing a target. Is this normal? No. But it was what she was roped into, thus she must fulfill it. Of course there are other ways to please anyone, but this is parlay what she knows.
On top of her devotedness, she is undeniably loyal. Like a dog in many ways. However, she isn't just loyal to anyone. While she may like you, you have to prove to her that you're worth being loyal to. She mainly gains trust first, simply doing this by being around a muse to hopefully learn more about them and dictate if she wants to dump time into someone that she knows she won't ever get back. The thing about Moth is that she is super easy to trust as long as you're honest and return what she gives you. Morana doesn't just give good energy back. If you're disrespectful and rude, you can expect the same thing back but probably ten times worth. Sarcastic comments, harsh words are all on the table. However, she tries her best to keep her composure and simply just decide who she wants to be around more. While she does have many friends, most are acquaintances that she's met along the way and aren't super close with. Very few will ever gain enough from Morana to see her trust and loyalty to them until you have proven it. She believes that actions speak louder than words, so if you don't take the time to understand that, you could screw up with her really bad. But once you do gain her trust, she is a dog that will do anything asked as long as you do something in return; big or small. It doesn't take much to please her, but she is still wary of those trying to perhaps manipulate her or something along those lines. She hates the idea of being used for someone to get what they want, which in a way is hypocritical, but Morana doesn't try to get something out of someone unless deemed absolutely necessary. That being said, her loyalty should never be doubted.
History
Born and raised in [name], Morana grew up with her mother only. Her siblings were quite grown when she was born, so she's never properly met them. Her father was a complete asshole, the result of her mothers pregnancy with Morana being the reason why they were alone. Morana was very free-spirited - very careless and just a child. Her mother would do anything to protect her.
At a young age, she took an interest in weapons. By the time she was 12, Morana was easily one of the best swordsmen in the country (so she thought). Through repetition and practice, and her mothers support, Morana would move on to take classes in a nearby town. Her dream had always been being a King's guard - any king, good or bad. Her mother always told her to fight for what's right, and Morana took that with her.
The nearby kingdom [name] was renowned for their knights. Hwoever, women were never your first thought when you think of skilled warriors. Morana showed up when she was 16, dressed in black, ready to train. She demanded that she be treated with the same respect and continued on her training, the King and Queen of the kingdom taking a quick liking to her dedication and persistence. She gained respect.
Later that year, her mother passed away due to illness, leaving Morana alone. Not having someone to depend on, she was roped into what is called the Reign. The Reign is a very skilled group of mercenaries. These mercenaries do just about anything - for power, money, glory, you name it. She hated it at first as she felt as though she was going against everything her mother had taught her. That said, The Reign didn't care who you were. This made Morana not care either.
Since then, Morana has been morphed into quite the little soldier. Respected back in her Kingdom and by the Reign, her job is to not only serve and protect, but also recruit possible candidates for The Reign.
Abilities
Enhanced Traits — She possesses enhanced hearing, eyesight, speed, and very little strength. Sometimes these senses become very sensitive and makes her experience certain migraines, which are painful. This ability is involuntary, though with some special potions and elixirs, they can become even more enhanced for a short amount of time.
Slowed Aging — Morana does not age as fast as a normal human does, but she is not immortal hwoever. She appears to be a 'year or two behind', as her superiors say. That said, always assume she might be a bit older than you think.
Controlled Dreams — You might ask how this ability is possibly useful in anyway. Each member of the Reign gets one ability that is not of their choosing, and this happened to be Moth's. This ability allows her to go into a meditative state and imagine herself having encounters with someone. These encounters dictate many things and always have different messages. This is not a way to see into the future, but is normally used to predict something to the best of her abilities. There is no gaurantee that an encounter will go as well as it did in her Dream. She can hold this state for about fifteen minutes before she has to take a break. Also, she can't just imagine anyone. She'll have to have at least seen them once before she can use this ability on her. There are ways to block it as well.
