Thoughts on the Elysian Pack?:
He takes no issue with them. Though they may wish for the death of his “kind,” he still wouldn’t lift a paw to strike them down if given the chance. After all, why back up their beliefs when he can uproot them? But, if they do push against his pack too much or dare to take what little resources they have, he will commit a little culling of his own. They are his family, so they come first. He refuses to lose another one.

Arch is an incredibly uncanny canine, often striking unnecessary unease into the hearts of those that encounter him. His build is unlike anything else seen within his pack, being almost an oddity amongst the oddities – if such a thing were to exist. He is well sized amongst his peers, being around the seemingly average height of 37 inches at the shoulder. A weight of 165 pounds backs up this decent height. His build is a muscular one, though certainly not to the extent of other hybrids. These muscles mostly congregate around his legs. These legs are what set him apart from the rest of his tribe members. Taking after his more arachnid side, the male was born with two extra sets of legs – bringing the count up to eight entire, wolf-like legs. However, he is not required to move on all eight at one time. He can run or walk about on only six of the three if need be, something that usually occurs when he needs to create webs with one of his front pairs. The claws extending from his paws are slightly larger than usual, but can easily be mistaken for a pure-blooded wolf’s. His paw pads, on the other hand, could never be. They are much unlike those of a standard wolf, being a good amount more callused – allowing for better grip on rough surfaces.
His general body shape is akin to that or normal wolves with little to no distinct differences, aside from the coloration. The tail trailing after his body is not like anything seen in the forest. It is wispy in appearance, as though made from the very silk he creates. It is exponentially long, often dragging along the ground as he walks. When running, it will seemingly glide off the ground behind him like a flag rustling in the wind. His head has retained a wolf like shape for the most part, as did his teeth. It is only his ears and some certain “additions” that make it truly stand out. His ears are unusually large and pointy, rather than more stout and rounded. Their backs are quite fluffy as well, blending well into the fur of his cheeks. One main pair of eyes rest in their usual positions, being just like those of a generic wolf. However, surrounding these two eyes are a multitude of spider eyes – each functioning like those of a spider and a wolf. These spider eyes can also be observed at the center of his shoulders. These eyes can open and close at will, allowing him to have different points of view as he wishes.
The canine arachnid possesses a more monotone color palette, mostly consisting of a variety of gray hues as well as some tans. The slightest hint of blue tint can be found among some of the grays, but nothing beyond that. His main body is a standard gray with some of these bluish accents, with such hairs running along his sides, neck, and most of his tail. All of his head and the back of his ears utilize this gray as well. His underbelly and upper legs are a blend of a lighter version of this gray and some newly-introduced tan. This blend trails up from his underbelly to the underside of his neck, but does not affect the underside of his head or jaw. His tail takes a similar route towards its latter half, fading into this gray and tan mixture. Upon reaching his lower hind legs or paws, the gray of his mixture will die off – leaving a pure tan hue in its wake to paint the hairs of these areas. His tail follows this trend, fading from the same tan-gray blend into the tan seen on his paws and hind legs. Though, unlike his legs, the color of his tail makes one more switch – suddenly turning into a dark bluish gray shade which runs to its very tip. This dark bluish gray is only found here, however, as thin lines of it also run along the edges of his cheeks, his back, and around his eyes. A more “solid” formation of it is seen within his ears. Pure gray spots linger around his latter half, spread out amongst the hairs of his hind legs, mid sides, and haunches. They are not terribly different from the fur of his main body, and can be difficult to see in areas with it in darker lighting. A normal dark gray nose dawns the tip of his snout. Stereotypical web-like patterning of a white hue marks his paws and inside of his chin. They can, at times, still be mistaken as actual spider webs as he does tend to overlap them in these areas at times. His paw pads are a similar gray to his spots, standing out rather well against the tan fur surrounding them. His wolfish eyes take on a blue shape, coupled with the slightest tint of gray. His more spider ones retain the standard black seen on those tiny creatures.
A decent amount of scars speckle the male’s pelt, gained mainly from the experimental hunting tactics and climbing practice of his youth. An oddly shaped scar atop his head is the oldest of these very scars, having obtained it not long after reaching a year of age. It was earned from a simple miscalculation while climbing a tree, leading to him crashing to the ground and hitting the spot on a rock below. He, thankfully, did not take long to wake up. Though, he did come to a very worried mother hovering over him. He was both figuratively and physically grounded after that fiasco. This scar is completely covered by his fur nowadays, but is easily observable when said fur is ruffled. A bite mark along his inward hind left leg is the second eldest of his main ones. It is partially obscured by fur, signifying its age, though never forgotten. This mark, while seemingly trivial, marks the day in which he found himself alone in the world – earned the day his parents and siblings were… culled. Even if he were the only hybrid amongst them. A slash along his outward front right leg tells the story of his first hunt prior to losing his family. It was a failed one, of course, but a valuable lesson that gave its share of future improvements. Earned around the same time is a small cut across his nose, being a slightly brighter color than what surrounds it. Another gained from a hunting mishap, but not a failed one. It was then that he had his first successful hunt. Aside from his scars, the monotone wolf does have a few “accessories” that are not as… permanent as the rest of his hybrid-based oddities. The most noticeable of these are the webs that he has strung up along the insides of his ears. These, though seemingly useless, actually allow him to have slightly better hearing than the average wolf. On occasion, one may find actual spiders creating webs across his body. They serve no purpose, but he just allows them to stay there. He doesn’t have the heart to destroy their creations, seeing as he knows how much work is put into creating them.
Arach’s voice is… essentially the complete opposite from what anyone would have expected to hear from a hybrid such as himself. It is of a medium pitch, leaning a smidge towards the lower side. Smooth and easy to understand are two more descriptions that can be attributed to his voice. Absolutely no amount of “grady” aspects are present within it, with the only exception being his morning voice. Though, that doesn’t take long to wear off. An eerie tone is lacking within his words, actually being more upbeat than anything else. Though, it is still not necessarily “cheery.” It is more so “approachable” in a sense. It is quite expressive as well, always displaying his present emotions fluently.

“Oh, hello there. My apologies if I startled you. I know I’m not the most… approachable wolf out there.”
“The strongest amongst us aren’t those that have the most muscle, additions or skills. It is those that resist the path of vengeance and the temptation arises that are truly the most powerful. For how could the weak fight against such a tantalizing offer?”
Though not as imposing or “hardened” as some of his companions, Arach is still considered to have quite the intimidating physique. Not for its sheer size or muscle mass, but for its hybrid elements. His spider-esk attributes and even mannerisms can be rather unnerving to some, especially seeing as how arachnids are generally seen as “creepy.” So, coming face to face with what is practically a giant wolf spider (pun intended) often leads to some… less than stellar introductions. However, for those that don’t attack him right away or bark out insult after insult, they will come to find a soul that is actually quite friendly. He is pleasant to be around, being decently skilled in striking up conversations that most find easy or even nice to engage in. Meetings with him are typically spurred from his own curiosity getting the better of him, something that he tends to happen a bit too often for his own good. Though, on the odd chance that an encounter is not founded from his own curious tendencies, it is likely that the one he is interacting with merely got stuck in one of his webs. In these cases, he will do his best to get them out of his silk all the while keeping them calm.
It is quite apparent to many from these sorts of interactions that the tribe member is a gentle, peace driven individual. The last thing he wishes is to do harm to anyone, preferring to strike up conversations to dissolve more tense situations than lift a paw to harm another. Even if the other is attempting to do exactly this to him, he will merely incapacitate them with his webs in order to speak like the civilized canines they should be. However, like most, he has his limits. Though peace driven, he is not above injuring another if the need arises. Some wolves just won’t back down after all. Thankfully, though, he has not had to go to the extent of killing… just yet. He is honestly worried that that time has all but dried up.
To those within the tribe, this arachnid is as helpful as they come. He consistently jumps at the chance to aid someone in their “chores” or endeavors, even when he has absolutely no clue what he is doing. Though, he is liable not to accept any in return – being much too selfless to take back what he has given. He rarely gets frustrated at messing up in these instances, always keeping a level head and calm demeanor. Then again, that’s just his disposition in general for the most part. If the male finds that he is having some difficulty completing… basically anything, he will resort to his intelligence and crafty nature to brainstorm some more out of the box solutions. Usually by utilizing his webs in some manner.
Insults, jabs, or any sort of harsh words or comments are nothing but water under the bridge for this young male. He of a thick skinned nature, unbothered by the words of another. It takes a lot to get to him, with the only cases of him truly snapping being on his rougher days. Outside of those, he always tries (and mostly succeeds) at handling these situations in a more mature manner. He never insults back or brings himself down to their level, but rather gets to the root of the problem. In this way he is thought to be sensible, choosing to act on some wisdom than anything else. But, if one were to do any of these things or more to those he cares for, it will become evident quickly just how protective he is. Overprotective to put in plainly, overreacting in some instances to ensure their safety – even from a small insult.

Other:
- Arch isn’t exactly sure why he was named what he was, but he’s fine with it. He won’t bother hiding it, but he does prefer to be called “Arch.”
- This spider-akin canine possesses no amount of venom.
- His family was one of the few courageous escapees to slip out of the grasp of their original pack upon his birth. His parents, disgusted by the thought of losing any of their pups, chose to flee with their current litter as well as the years prior to protect him. There weren’t many of them, but it was enough to last a good while before being discovered once more… The rest is too painful for the young male to recall.
