what are you able to shift into?
Vampire moth/calyptra moth; full shifter
appearance
As a human, Prelude has grayish-blueish-greenish eyes and black hair fading into brunette at the tips. She prefers comfort over beauty and likes her signature dark green jacket and loose black pants, and she also has an odd liking towards clothing with large pockets or just a lot of pockets in general.
Prelude's animal form looks like any other vampire moth - her larger wings are similar to brown leaves, and her smaller wings are similar to ginkgo leaves. (If permitted, then she will be able to transform into a whole eclipse of moths; if not, then she will only transform into one.)
personality
Prelude’s personality has changed quite a bit in the past few years, although she does retain many traits that she had. After she was revealed to be a Parasite, Prelude initially tried to reject any association with the Corrupted. When that inevitably failed, Prelude tried to advocate for the Parasites, stating that all of them were misunderstood and that they should be given a chance at living in society. However, she soon realized why the Parasites were feared and hated; Prelude started having “bloodlust episodes”, short periods of time when she wanted nothing except the taste of blood and didn’t feel any emotion.
Prelude soon became isolated from others out of fear of harming them; although vampire moths were weaker among the Parasites, she still developed crippling anxiety over the thought of hurting someone else. Over time, she became very pessimistic and held a negative view of life in general, believing that there was no justice for anyone and that it was better to just not be a shapeshifter at all. To replace her loneliness, she turned into a very complex, detailed person, trying to keep her mind busy - however, this did not prevent her from feeling nostalgic (and morbidly curious), and she started “spying” on normal humans to see what could’ve happened to her if her animal form wasn’t a Parasite.
As of now, she has three choices: remain isolated like she currently is, reject her role as a Parasite and try to rejoin society, or accept her “inherently evil” nature and fully embrace being Corrupted.
strengths
Observational skills - after Prelude started “spying” on others, she developed a much better awareness of her surroundings.
Avoiding social situations - Prelude’s fear of harming others led to her being adept at dodging interactions with others.
Complexity - Prelude has always been a very detailed person and loves coming up with all sorts of imaginative mental shenanigans.
Curiosity - another reason why Prelude likes to see how the “normal shifters” are doing is because of her morbid curiosity, which also leads to her trying to learn (often forbidden) knowledge.
Sensitive hearing - Prelude’s moth form allows her to hear up to 300,000 Hz, making her hearing one of the best (although it often irritates her)
weaknesses
Anxiety/overthinking - Prelude was a nervous person to begin with, and becoming a Parasite didn’t help with that. She has no social skills whatsoever.
Indecisiveness - She can’t seem to decide on whether she could remain alone, try to rejoin society, or become Corrupted.
Lack of physical advantage - Prelude being a vampire moth hasn’t given her any great physical attributes, except her okay-ish balance (she had that as a human to begin with) and super sensitive hearing.

what are you able to shift into?
Red-tailed hawk; semi
appearance
As a human, Timeless has (slightly messy) gray-tinted brown hair as well as pale golden eyes, not too different from that of a hawk. Being the type of person that rarely conforms to or cares about others’ opinions, he prefers to wear whatever is most comfortable for him (within dress code, of course), which typically means a t-shirt and loose pants, as well as slippers or other casual shoes that are way too big for his feet but he simply likes to have his shoes on very loosely. He would totally fulfill the “nerd” stereotype if it weren’t for his lack of glasses (due to his incredible eyesight) and the scathing look he gives anyone who brings up the idea of him being a nerd.
As a half-hawk, Timeless has some brownish feathers poking from his hair (although you can barely tell due to the feathers and his hair being around the same color). His arms transform into hawk wings, which were about as long as his arms in the beginning, but later began to unrealistically undergo growth spurts and will likely expand to a wingspan large enough for him to take flight (yes, he has tried, and no, he couldn’t fly, at least not yet.) His most helpful physical attributes so far are his eyes and ears, not uncommon for raptor-shifters like him. His irises turn black and the white part of his eyes become pale gold instead, and his ears kind of “disappear” under the feathers on his head - they are still there, but just less visible. He has full control over the body parts that he can transform - for example, he can transform just his wings or all of his hawk attributes at once, but can’t transform his torso, legs, and face due to those parts being limited to begin with.
personality
Upon first glance, Timeless appears to be an average Academy student, which he is. His entire personality and motto revolves around the idea of “bare minimum” and “malicious compliance” - do as little as possible without getting in trouble, or, in some cases, follow directions very literally. He can be described as smart and lazy. He prefers to be holed up in the library and digging through a wealth of information instead of actually interacting with others, mostly because many of his interactions involve “have you tried flying?” (For the record, he has tried, and will most likely be able to in the near future; however, he strongly declines to do so in front of everyone and prefers to practice quietly on his own.)
Timeless seems like an introverted person, which he partially is - he finds social interactions to be too time-consuming and drains too much of his energy. He heavily dislikes small chatter and prefers long, deep conversations. His teachers say that he has plenty of potential and he’s “wasting it”, but he has long since stopped caring; he uses his “potential” on random things he’s interested in. Oddly enough, he’s actually very curious about the Corrupted wonders what it would be like if he was one.
For some reason, Timeless is actually pretty good at cooking - this was most likely a result of him spending so much time alone that he lived up to his name and lost track of time, hence forgetting to eat food and having to cook for himself.
Strengths
Brilliant eyesight - being a semi hawk-shifter, Timeless can switch between his hawk sight and human sight, meaning that he can have extreme vision acuity as well as ultraviolet sight.
Excellent hearing - Timeless’ hearing, much like a hawks’, is also one of the best.
Cleverness - Timeless has mastered the ability of “follow the word of the instruction, not the spirit”. Although his use of cleverness is often petty, it does bring him some extra time to dig out volumes of books in the library. He doesn’t strive for greatness and only seeks to keep his grades and reputation at an acceptable level.
Cooking - Timeless is particularly good at utilizing sauces, spices, and broths to flavor his cooking, and he’s a pretty good snack connoisseur as well.
weaknesses
Lack of social skills - Timeless isn’t anxious about being in social situations, he just thinks it’s not worth his time and energy. As a result, many people see him as a cold, detached individual, which he doesn’t really mind.
Independence/selfishness - while Timeless sees his independence as a good thing, he also relies so little on others that he often prioritizes his own desires above everyone else’s and never really bothers to care about others unless they’re close to him. He’s gotten into multiple “wait, I was supposed to cook for everyone and not just myself?” arguments.
Laziness - Timeless isn’t a master of productivity, and while he’s not an extreme procrastinator, he does tend to prefer inactivity.
