Name: Bhaskara; Goes mostly by Bhas, but he doesn't mind other Iterations of his name. Age: 243 Years Gender: Male Role: Original Class: Light Rider: Open Appearance: Bhaskara is a rather unique individual in terms of his appearance, often mistaken for species he isn't, but never assumed he's what he is. This is due primarily to his more feline like physique, which is most comparable to a lion, albeit a rather large lion, but a lion nonetheless. It's even rumored that the dragon is the inspiration for several rumors and lore that have spread across the vast lands, but he doesn't confirm or deny any of these accusations, allowing others to come to their own conclusions.
In terms of size, Bhaskara does not boast the largest of frames, nor is he the smallest. He stands at around 17 feet at the shoulder, though his head and wings often make him appear taller, as he carries himself with pride and confidence. He's rather long in appearance, the combination of lion and dragon he seems to be made up of making him about double or more of his height. Along with that, his weight is quite heavy, being a rather well muscled creature, with long, athletic legs built with power for bursts of speed on the ground, as well as the uncanny ability to jump despite the heavy wings resting on his back.
The best place to start for Bhas is his head, which is distinctly and obviously very leonine. In comparison to an actual lion, Bhas' head is pretty normal, though obviously it is befitting a creature of his size. The primary difference is that instead of fur on his face, he boasts smooth gold scaling, before transitioning back to fur at his chin, giving him a soft little beard there that most lions hold. His lion nose is gold as well, covered in tough scales instead of the soft flesh of a normal nose. Oddly enough, between the scales of his muzzle sprouts several white whiskers. For eyes, Bhaskara holds the typical lion-like optics, their shade of color a topaz shade that is somehow bright than even the color of his scales. Atop his head are four bull like horns that arc away from his head, the outside pair taller than the inside pair, albeit not by much, and the two sets nestle gently against each other, acting much like a crown a lion is worthy of. They, like his face, are gold in color, ridged with sharp kerotin. Their bases rise out of the opalescent mane Bhaskara proudly carries, the strands of hair soft and long, their white strands glittering different colors in the light. The locks of mane seem to gather and hold light, making the male dragon seem like he's constantly glowing, radiating light from his mane like some sort of sun god. His mane extends down from his head, covering his neck, the tops of his shoulders, and ends as it gradually down his chest and belly.
From where his mane ends, the gold scales can be seen starting again, covering the base of his body in a sheen of metallic that is hard to look away from. His legs, which appear more lion like at the shoulders, transition to a more dragon like foot, which ends in sharp claws of pearly white. This is applied for all of his legs, though his front feet sport a combination of longer and deadlier claws and toes. The scales of his base travel down to his belly where they gradually grow lighter in color until his underbelly scales are a soft cream, something similar actually to the color of his mane, but not quite.
From powerful hips and hindquarters, Bhaskara grows a very dragon like tail, thick at the base, and gradually tapering down to a sharp point. It's powerful and flexible, but doesn't adorn any sort of spikes or spines on it, being used for utility more so than weaponry. In fact, the only real spikes the male has on him, aside from his horns, are a pair of spikes on either side of his hips. They jut outward and up, and honestly make for the perfect pegs to hang things off of.
Lastly, there are Bhaskara's wings. These great and powerful appendages are something Bhas is extremely proud of. They are heavy and strong, able to carry and lift him up without any struggle. His wings, though, are feathered rather than scaled and membraned. The feathers near the top of his wings start at that rich gold color that is his base, before lightening to the same color as his mane, becoming opalescent at the tips, reflecting light in various colors. They're a beautiful display of regality and strength, a humbling combination of beauty and power.
For his voice, Bhaskara has a deep, basso like voice, warm and powerful in tone. Honestly, it's a voice worthy of a king.
Personality: Regal | Patient | Level Headed | Calm | Territorial | Intuitive | Protective | Honest | A Bit Blunt | Not Easily Riled | Steadfast | Reliable | Indepedent | Good Natured | Strong Willed
Abilities: I. Lumopresence This ability allows Bhaskara to sense things that are standing in sunlight. Like how some Dark Dragons can sense things when they're standing in shadows, Bhaskara has the ability to sense things that are standing in direct rays of sunlight. He can even focus and "see" through the sun, but this leaves him incredibly vulnerable so he rarely ever does this. Instead he uses this extra sense, basically, to help defend himself and others as works as a good alarm system.
II. Radiance This is a Two Fold Power, depending on how he chooses to use it. The three types are: Radiant Aura and Radiant Pulse. Each has it's own unique purpose, and he's comfortable using them.
1. Radiant Aura The first of the three types of Radiance, Bhaskara has the ability to draw light to his body, surrounding himself in a warm and bright aura of pure light. This can be anything from a subtle glow, to being almost like a mini sun. It's blinding to look at, though only temporarily, unless you stare at it for a stupid amount of time, and can be extremely distracting and difficult to work around. It's also very difficult to determine exactly where he is, as he can push the Aura a bit away from his body, which leads to his next ability. One thing to keep in mind about this ability, is because it's a collection of sunlight, it also contains radiation. It isn't enough to permanently make someone sick, but they'll start to feel weak and ill the long they stay in his aura.
2. Radiant Pulse Considered almost liek the next step of Radiant Aura, this ability is pretty much exactly how it sounds. He's able to pulse his aura around him, acting like a flashbang at times, stunning people when they aren't expecting it. He can, however, also pulse his aura away from him in a wave, disorientating and confusing anyone caught in it for a brief time. It also can be rather uncomfortable because it's warm. This warmth is a reminder of the radiation that lays within the pulse. Because it's a strong attack than just his Aura, those who are directly hit by the way will likely feel weakened and/or ill for several minutes, to several hours [depending on their own health] afterwards. There are no lasting effects though.
III. Light Manipulation Often considered his main ability, Bhaskara has the ability to manipulate light, and light energy, to his will. This can be using light beams to attack, or creating shields or barriers out of light. At night he cannot use this ability unless there is something creating light, or he has stored light within himself. Typically, he stores light energy within the strands of his mane, but this is a finite amount, and once he's out, this ability is useless at night. During the day, it's much stronger, and up to how much strength and willpower he has left.
IV. Healing Light This is actually his "breath attack", but instead of it being an offensive ability, it's a support one. He breathes a soft, warm light that, upon contact with a wound, begins to heal it. It can't reattach things, or bring someone back from the dead, but he heal even severe wounds if he has the energy. This power, though, comes from his own energy being metabolized into light, so, again, it's finite. If he tries to heal someone too much it could render him unconscious of even dead.
Strengths & Weaknesses: Strengths - Strong and Powerful Boy. Durable Powerhouse. - He is Quite Soft in the Mane, and Very Cuddleable. - Intelligent and Calm. Making his Mind it's own Weapon. - He has Great Maneuverability on the Ground, Able to Function Well Even with Damaged Wings. -
Weaknesses - Most Abilities Don't Work at Night, Unless He's Stored Light Energy Away. Even Then, it's Finite. - Not the Fastest of Dragons. He's a Big, Heavy, Stronk Boy. - He has to Be Careful When Healing Others Not to Hurt Himself in the Process. - Stealth is Not his Prowess. He's a Walking Night Light or Beacon. -

;) Piercing winds batter against your tiny form as you make your way through the land of ice and snow. Nothing could be seen except for what was a mere foot in front of you. Then again what lay ahead was nothing more than white-coat earth and the slashing blizzard snow. Not a thing could be heard besides the howling wind. Not even your own footsteps were audible as you marched your way aimlessly through the blanche nightmare. It was so odd that the color – which was typically meant to represent light and all things good – could end up being your demise. Pausing, you aimlessly look around for shelter despite knowing full well that it was futile. And yet… there was something there. Taking a step back, you stare at the two floating green dots before you – confused and scared at what it may be. You both just remained in whatever staring contest had begun, a harsh silence forming between the two. Then, the eyes move towards you and a form begins to take shape. It was a dragon of ice and snow, and he was now mere inches from your body. For a while, he just stares – eyes filled with curiosity and concern. Then, he moves and blocks the winds from hitting your freezing body. But he did not dare come any close. Nodding his head in the direction he was now facing, he began to slowly walk into the raging blizzard – just slow enough for you to keep up. He may not be able to provide any warmth… but, at least, he provides you with some shelter. Name: Cryosphere Meaning/Definition “Part of the earth’s surface where water is frozen solid” Nickname: Cryo Age: 124 Gender: Male Role: Original Dragon Class: Ice Appearance: Cryosphere is a well built dragon, made of purest form of survival. His body plays no games and takes no chances. It is deadly, precise, and almost always logical. Starting with his size it should instantly be noted that the icy male is neither the smallest or largest young dragon to exist. He is somewhere in the middle of things on that front. At his shoulder, he reaches a height of fourteen feet. Another three feet is added up top of that thanks to his broad neck. Giving him a decent total of seventeen feet in height all together. Horizontally, he sums up to a grand total of twenty-eight feet – if not a smidge more. Sixteen feet of this total is directed towards his main body. The other twelve can be found in his tail.
The basis of Cryo’s body plan is one to be marveled at by all forms of survivalists. He is bulky in structure, carrying an incredible amount of muscle that is impossible not to notice. This muscle can be seen on every aspect of his body – rippling with each and every step, no matter how soft. But it is the strongest or most well developed in his legs, shoulders, and tail. The three main offensive locations of his build. His legs are broad and a bit on the longer side. Equipped with four hooked talons each (one for each toe, plus a mostly unused dew claw), he is impeccably good at grappling and holding onto things. These claws were specifically designed to grip onto the icy ground of his homeland as well as the thick hides of blubbery seals and whales that he calls prey. Pair this with his already muscular and sturdy legs, and he’s impossibly hard to knock over. That is, if anyone were to dare try. This male’s body is covered in spikes. Along his back and sides are three main rows of them. The largest of these is the line that runs down the center of his back. The longest of these can reach over a foot long. The other two rows (located on his sides) are much smaller – only reaching around six to eight inches at their peak. Those on his side do not touch his shoulders. All of these spines start along his neck, specifically after his head connects to said neck. Here, the larger row is only around nine inches while the side rows are around five. These spines stand up indefinitely and are completely immobile. Besides length, these structures are somewhat transparent in appearance – being a bit cloudy and hard to see through. They are also not always straight and smooth in texture. While some are, others are more jagged like an actual icicle. Now, you may be wondering how exactly this prevents others from attempting to knock him over. After all, his shoulders are completely exposed… except, they’re not. Not in the slightest. On both of his shoulders rest two very large spikes that jut from their sides, akin to that of a Kentrosaurus. Except, his stick straight out with a slight upwards slant rather than somewhat backwards. These spines measure up to three to four feet in length. This duo of spines (as well as the rest along his body, but especially these two) are incredibly thick and near impossible to break unless immense force is applied. Even other dragons cannot break them. It is because of these spikes that he has such defined shoulders. When possible, he will purposely ram into an opponent with these spines to stab through them. The tail of this beast of survival is sturdy and decently sized, much like his legs. Though, it is less broad than them. It starts out rather thick but thins out towards the end to make a sort of rounded point. The spines from early fade out on their trip down this extremity, ending a good few inches before his tail tip. This ending of the spines gives way for the sight of one of his extraordinary abilities. At the end of his tail there is – you guessed it – a fan of spines with there being six in total. Three on either side. These spines are layered, having typically four separate parts to it. Though, it can have more if given enough time. These layers can actually be loosened at will and then flung at any opponent who dares to test his resolve. With great accuracy too. Hence the muscles within his tail. However, these layers are not constantly loose. Unless willed to actually loosen, they remain tightly attached to the rest of his spine and tail. Thus, he can also use this as a bashing or stabbing sort of weapon as well and not risk losing a layer. If someone miraculously manages to get past these defenses (and attacks at the right time so they will not be obliterated by one of his abilities) then they would have to deal with his upper scales. These scales are sharp and pointed in structure, and – while they do not stick upwards – can easily cut anyone unprepared to face them. Very few have managed to get past his defenses. And one of the few that have left a grizzly scar right underneath his neck. A testament to their feat… and demise. The male’s head is quite broad in structure, formed out of well defined edges and muscles. Its general shape is like that of most stereotypically dragons, being larger vertically than other reptiles. Its curves are almost pointed and sharp in appearance, as though they were spikes themselves. Though, here is some curving around his cheeks and upper jaw. His snout looks like a cross between a wolf and a polar bear, but has none of the mammalian aspects – such as the pitch black noses and “floppy” lips – and is just slightly longer than the rest of his head. Those aspects still take a rather draconic course, with his nostrils being small holes on either side of the snout and his “lips” being rather tight against his jaws – only able to go up and down. Two thick and straight horns travel back from around the top of his broad skull, being around seven inches in length. They take a back and slightly upwards position. These horns, like his shoulder spikes, are very thick and are durable. Not as hard to break as the spikes, but still a challenge to most. Running along his horns are multitude of small branching-off spikes. They put a bit more upwards than the actual horn itself, and are rather close to one another – making it hard for someone to grab his horns without getting cut. Each of these spikes are around two inches long, and the only main body spikes that can regrow (not counting the ones on his tail). The substance of these horns can be seen forming a path of sorts down to the middle of his forehead, connecting the two entities. These connective structures also look to be spikes or at least in the form of them, except for being flatter and wider than what is typically seen. They appear to almost be in the shape (but not texture) of crystals. Those touching his horns are the largest of these “plates” and stick out to the side a bit, but still remain pointing back. All parts of his horns are slightly transparent, just like the rest of his spines. His eyes are considered to get quite striking in both color and shape. But, for now, only the shape will be addressed. While the outer structure of his eyes take the typical narrowed form seen in most dragons, the eye itself acts like those of snow leopards. Signifying his rank of being an all out predator. His eyes are also a lot stronger than those of other species, being unaffected by extreme cold and having the ability to see much greater distances in heavy snow. Along his right cheeks are two slash scars that once more show the mark of a daring soul who saw it wise to attack him. Safe to say that they did not last any longer than any of the others before them. The chilling beast’s wings are nothing too noteworthy. He dawns two of them, both of which are bat-like in structure. They sprout a little bit behind his shoulder spines and are purposely designed to angle downwards to avoid damaging his skin or membrane on their sharp ends. There is also a gap between his side spines right where the upper part of the wing curls down. That way, he doesn’t cause damage to the skin. The membranes of both wings are connected to his body, leaving no separation between the innermost membrane and his side. These membranes are incredibly thick and tough to damage. Sort of like a really thick and expensive leather. But it is in no way impossible to pierce or damage. In total, his wingspan is just big enough to lift his form into the air when need be – being around forty feet in length (twenty feet to each wing). The scales along his wings, similar to those of the rest of his body, are jagged in shape, sharp, and tough. Sort of like an arrow head. They can easily cut another dragon if they brush them the wrong way. At the joint of his wing, short spikes can be seen jutting out from it (one for either wing). These mimic the aspects of all his other spines and stick straight. The main usage of these two spines is simply a small line of defense for his wings. The end of each wing finger is also tipped with one of these. However, those are much thinner and would only be used for light scratching of anything at all. Cyro is, oddly, quite the colorful fellow. Sure, he may not be as vibrant as most of the other dragons, but he still has his way in the “beautiful coloration” market. To begin, it should be noted that there are three main “layers” of colors for his scales. An upper, lower, and middle layer. These colors do not always stick to their designated areas, but typically accumulate around the same area. The upper layer is a light grayish-blue in complexion. It runs along his spine, upper tail, and slightly down his sides. The lower portion of his scales – which almost exclusively covers his underbelly – is of an icy blue shade. Nearing white but not being completely there. In some lights, this shade can also get a grayish tint to it. The middle section (which covers everything between the upper and lower areas, including his wing scales) is a slightly dull sky blue. Thus, his body is made up of a slight fade of blues – starting at the darkest along his back and going down to a pale blue. However, his body had more patterns than just a simple fade. Scattered about his middle scales and underbelly are white snowflake patterns, forming a sort of spotted appearance with their shape. At certain points of his body, the light grayish-blue of his upper section can form swirls that curve down into the two lower sections and cut between the snowflake markings. While these sticks typically stick to running through his midsection, they can cut into the pale blue of his underbelly. It’s just not as commonplace. Parts of the aforementioned underbelly colorations can also break the fade and swish gently upwards to run into the sky blue of his middle scales. The membranes of his wings also seem to hold this pattern, having small, white snowflake shapes scattered around at random. However, these do not stay white. Rather, they start out that way at the top of his wing (near the wing arm) but gradually fade from white to an icy sky blue as they go down the membranes. This fade is not observed within all the snowflakes. Some are pure white, others more white than blue, then more blue than white, and finally a pure blue. Outside of his pattern, the rest of his wing membrane does a fade that is almost the exact opposite of the pattern. It starts out as an icy blue – like that of his underbelly – at the top of the wing and fades into a sparkling white by its end. His horns and spine all take on a tinted light blue appearance which can be seen as shiny thanks to the slight transparency of them. Finally, the male’s eyes are a bright and stunning mint green. Or, more specifically, spindrift green. It stands out a lot when compared to the rest of his blue form. The sound of the blue scaled dragon’s voice is a complete and utter mystery. It has never been heard by another living soul, aside from his now… likely deceased siblings and his out-of-the-picture mother. His continuous silence has had many-a-being assume that he is mute. Though, no one is quite sure if it is by choice or because he physically cannot talk. Those who believe that he cannot physically talk always seem to point to the scar along his neck. Maybe that former wound did some damage to his voice box? The others who just see it as a choice, however, always point out the fact he can make other sounds such as roars and growls. But the reason behind the likelihood of this choice will probably never be discovered. The roars of this icy beast are incredibly special and unique. What makes these so unusual is the fact that almost none of them share traits with another call, with there being only one exception to this. Like usual, there are five total roars: broadcast, friendly, threaten, danger, and victory. Cryosphere’s broadcast is a rather simple sound. It’s a mix between the sound of cracking ice and the howl of a wolf. This howl carries a really deep pitch to it – a stark contrast to the higher pitched ice sounds. Despite being rather deep, the howl portion of this roar can be heard from much farther away than the cracking ice can. A mile or two of distance to be exact. The friendly call is probably what he is most known for, sound wise. It is a gentle trill-like noise with the soft backdrop of a purring snow leopard and the mysterious and mystical sound of singing ice. This sound of singing ice becomes louder the colder he is. His threaten call is a loud and bellowing noise, sounding akin to the roar of a polar bear with the thunderous break of dividing glacier. The roar has very little build up, just being there from the start. But, the glacier sound does decrescendo as the sound comes to its end. The male’s danger noise is… quite out of place when considering all the other calls. It is oddly high pitched in nature, and sounds a lot like the whistling wind of a rushing blizzard. It can sound rather frightening from a distance, like a banshee’s scream. His final call, victory, is the roar that breaks the pattern of sharing no traits with another call. In fact, it shares aspects with not just one but two other roars. It is essentially a mix between the friendly and the broadcast roars. The deep howling of a wolf and the harmonious sound of singing ice are blended together to form this call, with the soft cracking of ice sneaking its way underneath these two sounds. He has nothing to say. Rider: Isobel Escamilla Abilities: Ice Breath The strength of Cryo’s ice breath depends completely on the temperature of his body and surroundings. These determinants cause this ability to change “forms,” but – naturally – not at will. He can never control what type of breath he uses at one specific point in time. These two breaths are mist and solid. Mist Mist breath forms whenever the male is too hot to sustain solid ice. Like its namesake, it comes out as a rushing gust of air, filled with bone chilling mist. This mist cannot freeze anything upon contact, but it can cause frostbite overtime. Though, this is not made to be a precise form of attack since it will billow out in all directions no matter what he does. Thus, he will typically just “throw” it about at random to hit a target by whirling his neck and body around in various ways. Unless they are backed into a corner that is, in which he can actually aim. This “throwing” aspect of this breath not only gives him cover, but can boost his “Freezing Touching” ability to the smallest degree. Enough to where someone will at least regret touching him with their bare hands. Solid The dragon’s solid breath occurs only when he and his surroundings are cold enough to support it. This type of breath itself comes in two different styles – snow and ice – which he can alternate between at will. But he generally sticks to the ice form. This ice form comes out as a harsh wind at first, but will cause large accumulations and spires of ice to form on whatever it touches. It can freeze practically anything in place, if it is small enough. It should be noted that, if he is extremely cold, the ice from this breath will be near impossible (if not impossible) to melt. The barely used snow breath is likely his weakest of the three. It can barely do any damage to an opponent, but it can temporarily blind or disorient them if used correctly. Spine Shot As mentioned before, the blue-scaled dragon has the ability to shed the spines at the end of his tail and throw them at enemies with great precision. This is made possible due to the layering of those spikes which have the ability to loosen at will. Upon being loosened, the male will harshly flick his tail in a specific direction and send the sheath flying towards an opponent. These spikes are incredibly sharp and thick, causing a lot of damage and being hard to remove from practically anything. The lost layering is also replaceable, meaning that he does not have to worry about running out forever. But the speed by which it reforms varies greatly depending – once again – on the temperature of his surroundings. The colder they are, the faster it goes back. The hotter, the slower. Though, placing his tail in bodies of water can also speed up the regeneration process, but he only really does this when in warmer environments. The amount he can throw per battle is limited to around eighteen (as there are three throwable layers and six spikes). Freezing Touch When cold enough, touching the male can become quite deadly. His scales hold a constant hum of chill to them which can freeze any living thing it touches – given that it touches him with its bare form. Barriers can prevent anything from happening, no matter how thin. But the being will still become increasingly cold over time. In his home land, this ability allowed him to walk in ice that typically would not support his weight by increasing the strength and width of it. When too hot, the male still holds that chilling aura, but it would only create frost or a thin sheet of ice around his form considering that it is touching something. He is also safe to touch during time. Though, it is still advised that whoever is riding him wears a barrier just to prevent themselves from getting too cold. Blinding Blizzard While Cryosphere cannot control weather like storm dragons, he can apply some manipulation to already present showers or storms – given that the conditions are right. If they are, his eyes and snowflake patterns will begin to glow and he will release a broadcast aimed towards the sky. Slowly, the precipitation will turn into snow and – eventually – a harsh snowstorm or blizzard. From here, however, he has no control. It will provide him with nothing more than a boost to his breath and the use of his final ability. Snow Cloak The “snow cloak” ability is a rather strange case when it comes to ice dragons. No one is quite sure how exactly it works. Some assume that it works in a similar way as octopus mimicry does – changing the pattern and texture of their bodies. Others believe it to be a cause of invisibility, and the rest just see it as impeccable camouflage. No matter the method, there is no arguing that this ability exists. It works as follows: When surrounded by snow, the male can basically phase himself out of the seeing eye – as though he became the snow itself. The surrounding snow does not have to cover him on all sides (like the snow of a blizzard), and can simply be at his feet. While using this ability, Cryo must move in a slow and methodical manner. If he goes too fast, the cloak will wear off and his scales will become visible once more. Strengths: - Cold: Pretty self explanatory. The colder he and his surroundings are, the stronger his power and abilities. - Precision: This male has impeccable aim, almost always hitting his target in the exact position he desires. This precision is almost exclusively observed when he is using his spine shot ability. Then again, without this strength, this ability would be almost entirely useless. After all, if he can’t hit his mark, then what is the point of the ability? Either way, this can extend toward other abilities and aspects of him, such as his breath and shoulder ram. - Patience: Being the mark of a deadly predator, patience is a virtue that the male holds quite dear. It has gotten him out of a lot of sticky situations and has proven essential in the art of hunting. He will spend literal hours, even days, just to catch the smallest glimpse of the perfect time to strike. This virtue also allows him to easily deal with even the most annoying of beings that could run most others thin. - Body Build: As one says, one’s greatest offense is strong defense. And that is exactly the motto that Cryo’s body plan follows. With the amount of sharp spines, spikes, and defensive assets his form has, he never really has to go on the offense. All he needs to do is angle his body a certain way and let his opponent come to him. They’re bound to run into this side spines of his, after all. Or get cut on his sharp scales. Or even become completely frozen if he is cold enough. - Icy Environments: Another self explanatory strength, considering his entire existence focuses on this one fact. Being in an icy environment provides him with a multitude of benefits and the ability to some of his abilities – like snow cloak – as well as his first strength. Weaknesses: - Heat: A self explanatory weakness since a certain amount of heat can and will decrease the strength of his powers. However, if he is exposed to a large amount of heat for an extended stretch of time, he will die. - Flexibility: One of three downsides to his body plan. Cryo is not at all flexible. Due to his multitude of spines and muscles, he finds it difficult to bend certain ways without stabbing himself with one of his own spines or without pulling said muscles. This means that if one were to catch him at the right time and attack certain areas of his body, he would have an incredibly difficult time getting them off. - Agility: The second downside to his body plan. The blue scaled dragon is in no way capable of agility. With hook-like claws, a broad and heavy build, and some of his spines, he finds it rather hard to move quickly in order to avoid a hit. Then again, he doesn’t really need to. He’s sturdy enough to take hits and has the defenses to back it up. But, if he needs to flee, then he better hope that he can avoid all of the incoming attacks because there is no way he is dodging any of them. - Arid Environments: Like his environmental strength, this is a rather self explanatory weakness. Being in an arid environment can cause a lot of health problems. At least in other hot biomes (like jungles), he can use water to cool down. In these areas, however, there is no water or precipitation. Thus, he will be forced to suffer through the heat. If it doesn’t kill him first, that is. - Specialized Niche: Yet another downside to his body plan. This is an odd sort of weakness, but a weakness one the less. Much like polar bears and their hunting tactics, Cryo is very specialized for living a certain way. In his case, he is specialized for living in frozen biomes and practically nowhere else. All his desired prey items and the entire basis for his life is centered on these regions. So, take him away from this style of life, and he’ll be in grave trouble. Of course, he can adapt, but he takes a lot longer to do so than most. Likes: - Cold - Winter - Cold Biomes - Shallow Waters - Companions - Listening To Others Dislikes: - Warmth - Summer - Hot Biomes - His Mother - Speaking - Deserters Crush: Open Mate: Not yet. Kin: He is… unsure on what actually happened to his siblings. All he knows is that they were all eventually left behind. All except for him. Open Affiliations: Euclid - An incredibly close friend of this that he would lay down his life for. Open Other: - For whatever reason, Cyro never speaks. It is not known whether just refuses to, or if he is physically incapable of the action. Though, most assume that it is on his own terms since he can still roar and growl. - The blue-stricken male has never really had many close family or friends. So, he holds all those he considers as such as close as possible and rarely leaves their side. - The best place to ride this dragon is between his neck and shoulders. A gap between all lines of spines lies in this area. - Padding and heavier clothing is suggested when riding this beast. Else, one may hurt themselves on his scales, develop a cold, or turn into a literal block of solid ice. Wings Of Fire was a pretty cool series. Though, I only really like the first arc and Darkstalker’s super edition nowadays. I. Hate. Kinkajou and Qibli with a passion. Let me know if you’ll have me write up his personality this time. ^^ Edited at March 13, 2024 06:57 PM by High Hills Pack

Name: Laban Thayer First name meaning “Gentleness, or White & Shining” Last name meaning “The Heir” Age: 18 Gender: Male (He/Him) Sexualtiy: Hertosexual Role: Rookie Dragon: Amhuluk Appearance: Credits to SuriLucy on Picrew.me Laban is a pretty intimidating figure to stumble upon or into without prior interaction. He towers over most individuals, standing at a staggering 6’5” in height – making him hard to miss, but not impossibly so due to his stealth. Though, he is most definitely easy to spot in crowds. His build is naturally masculine but not to the extent of most farmers, looking softer than one would originally imagine. Well toned muscles are still prevalent, however, and provide the usual athletic aesthetic that comes with his occupation. It seems as though there is not an inch of his form that is made from body fat, causing him to come off as a wall of pure muscle. These muscles accumulate mostly around his arms due to the usual task of lifting heavy objects, but a good amount takes residence in his legs as well. Just not to the extent of his arms, seeing his their main usage – riding horses – is not a common occurrence for him. His chest is, naturally, abbed and works along both his arms and legs to provide even more power to any strikes he may dish out. Scarring around this area adds to this initial imposing demeanor, with a rather “nasty” looking scar running across the right side of his collarbone before disappearing from view during its trek towards his chest. Yet, there are other aspects that make him seem oddly soft as well. His baby smooth, pale skin and lack of freckles, one could almost describe him as soft if not for all that muscle he is packing. A lack of body hair is also something one may notice seeing as none sticks out from underneath his garments. The straight and casual posture is another contradicting statement towards this otherwise formidable look. It is much unlike the usual guarded, high strung, or borderline violent stances of most brawlers, being more open and approachable than most men itching for a fight. However, it is quick to switch to something a bit more battle hardened – ready to swing at a moment’s notice in order to protect a defenseless other. This hunk-of-a-man’s facial features can simply be unforgettable or an oddity. Although starting out simple and generic, they swiftly turn to something a bit more wild and exotic. The general structure of his face is nothing out of the ordinary. A strong yet somehow “gentle” jawline defines the basis of his face with smooth and “thin” cheeks soon following suit. Here, his pale skin remains pure – having no blemishes nor freckles nor bumps or scars or even facial hair in sight. His lips are those of stand masculine men, being barely distinguishable from the rest of his face in thickness. Their color also mimics that of the rest of his skin with a slightly tanner tint. His ears are a bit off, strictly in size and not shape. They are slightly larger-than-average, but not to the extent of being noticeable. His eyes are also nothing too out there, being monolid-esk in shape and having beautiful forest green irises. Truly, what makes his facial aspects so memorable is his hair. Not so much its structure but its color. As luck would have it, this rookie was born with short pure white (or silver) hair, akin to the shade of freshly fallen snow. No one in his social circle knows where this oddity came from, but it is believed to just be the usual luck-of-the-draw genetics. A select few, on other hand, take it as some sort of sign. Though, none have been able to articulate the meaning behind it. Its overall structure is just as wild as its color, with strands having very little consistency in where they stick out. Its part is off-centered, leaning towards the left of his head and shifting most of its follicles to the right side of his head. A large amount of “bangs” (if one could consider them that) has formed because of this, with most of his longer hair sections covering his forehead and parts upper cheeks. The majority of which is located on the right side of his face. There are three main sections to this: left, right, and center. Left is considered to be the “medium” section, having more hair than one section but less than the other. This part mainly covers the top of his ear and the one corner of his eyes. The center section is the smallest of the bunch, having the least amount of hair. It only covers the middle portion of his face, reaching all the way down to his nose. The right is, naturally, the largest of these bunches of hair. It is connected to the center piece, but is too much of its own thing to be a part of it. It, like the left, covers the top of his other ear but covers a decent amount of its center as well – hiding it mostly from sight. The orientation of the part has also caused a sort of arch amongst all the hair that hangs down into his face – showing the two different sides quite clearly. The white hair boy’s wardrobe is a simple one, or lackluster in the eyes of some. It is made up of essentially one outfit with one or two fancy add-ons, with this family being too poor for much else. And, despite his adoration of his present occupation, it is not enough for another outfit to be added to his “collection.” These clothes are what most would call his “work” clothes, with them being tossed on whenever it comes time to do his job. They are the standard “medieval” farming clothes, consisting of hand crafted shirts and pants. His casual top wear is a generic long sleeved tunic – pale cream in color with dark blue sleeves. Gray-blue linen trousers (which do reach down to the bottom of his legs) are paired with this, with a mass amount of noticeable stitchwork present from years of wear and tear, as well as length additions to conform to his current height. Leather shoes, also worn down from use, protect his feet with their somehow still durable material. The only “fancy” thing he owns in a white top of sorts, similar to modern day hoodies but less… well, modern. He strictly wears this in clean environments on special occasions. A white shirt is typically worn underneath this “hoodie.” Any sort of accessory is considered to be a blessing for this tall young man, with him taking none that he possesses for granted. He is grateful for each and every one of them, and does his best to preserve their original appearance. Even if he owns very few. A cross earring is the smallest of these items, black in color and attached to his left ear. His right has no such addition. A dark blue cloak is another such precious article, having been created for his father years ago. It is made of some of the finest wool with the “popular” addition of tassels being present around its end. This cloak has wrapped itself firmly around his shoulders – appearing to be connected by some strings on the front – before lowering itself down his back. It extends no further than his behind. He does not go anywhere without it, believing that it keeps his father close to his heart wherever he goes. A leather belt ties all this in together, looping around his midsection. It is a bit thinner than most would expect and quite tattered through its constant use. Multiple pouches, “hooks,” and holsters can be seen connected to it – allowing for a large range of smaller items to be carried with ease. No one is really sure what Laban’s voice actually sounds like. While those close to him hear it quite often (or what they consider often for him), encounters with a speaking snowy haired boy are few and far in-between for those outside his immediate family or circle of friends. But even those that do have the honor of hearing him speak will soon have trouble actually deciphering what he is saying. Not because of any sort of noticeable accent, but because of both soft and quiet his voice comes off as – akin to a gentle spring breeze that just lets its presence known through the shaking of forest leaves. It is nigh impossible to hear him in loud environments. The pitch of his voice is a bit startling for new people, being much higher than one would expect from someone of his stature. Though, it is still considered to be of a medium pitch for men. There’s a bit of roughness to it as well, sounding just slightly scratchy at times – but in a good way. His tone is typically cheerful yet meek, as though he were uncertain about each and every work he chose to use. Though this meekness does fade the more he gets to know someone, it does have the tendency to slip back into place around even the most trusted and beloved people in his life. Personality: Quiet || Charming || Soft Spoken || Thick Skinned || Patient || Gentle “Giant” || Compassionate || Selfless || Friendly || Helpful || Sorta Shy || Protective || Attentive || Mostly Confident || Hard Worker || Survivalist Laban stares down at you in an uncertain expression. He isn’t quite sure what to say. Laban is the living definition of strong and silent. Speaking, for him, is a rarity. A true blessing to the ears. For unknown reasons – be in his way mourning, his lack of perceived social skills making him uncertain, or simply his preference – he chooses to remain mostly silent, only speaking when spoken to or around those he loves. Or well, those he loves whom he trusts not to question his mannerisms, patterns, or anything of the like. Strangers, however, are obviously a different story. He avoids speaking to anyone he considers as such, merely using hand and head motions and expressions to communicate with them. His speech only ever comes into play when absolutely necessary. And don’t get started on the topic of him speaking to his crush. He’d be incapable of doing so, turning into a cherry tomato when simply being addressed by her. Though, he somehow still retains a sort of charm that only a select few could ever possess. He was taught chivalry from a young age, and often utilizes it to show his companions respect. Towards his crush, however, this charming aspect is a lot more tender than usual – leading to a lot of well-planned gifts and interactions, all of which aim to ensure that she enjoys her. Even he is not fond of the particular activity. For those who miraculously get him to speak, they find him to be incredibly soft spoken. His words are oft kind and considerate, carefully placed in their particular order as a means of avoiding conflict or offending the person he is interacting with (if that is even possible). He never talks over another, allowing even the most disrespectful to speak before him or over him before it gets in a word. Thankfully, his thick skinned and patient nature prevents any sort of biting response from flowing past his lips or a physical strike as retaliation. He is completely unbothered by snarky remarks or aggressive rants, choosing to just stare and wait for the cascade of words to finally come to a halt. His voice never raises and is void of most negative emotions unless in an intense situation, choosing to appear as calm as possible in order to hopefully pacify the one in front of him if that is so much of a possibility. But, even when angered, he will not strike back (if he has a say in that). He will simply walk away to avoid further interaction. As it may be apparent, this white haired boy is quite the gentle “giant.” Despite his immense amount of strength, he has chosen a much more passive path – never raising so much as a finger to harm another. Although not necessarily a pacifist, violence is certainly not something he knows, even if he may be decent at hand-to-hand combat (props to his father for teaching him self defense). Aggression is a last ditch effort for him, and is only utilized when in a dire situation or in the defense of another. His compassionate ways are another greatly exemplified trait. He shows a large amount of sympathy and concern for all creatures, especially those in any sort of pain. He will go out of his way to support and cheer up the disheartened, while also providing needs to the sick and injured. He always puts these peoples’ needs before his own, prioritizing their happiness over his own. A rarity in this world, but something he holds pride in. However, do not mistake him for any sort of a pushover. When struck, he will swing back twice as hard until the other has learned their lesson. A friendly demeanor is what this young man carries with him despite what his outward appearance may hint towards others. He is very welcoming, gladly offering up smiles and aid to others around him – even if he does not feel comfortable speaking. In a way, it is rather touching how swift he is to offer a hand in any task. Though, don’t expect an offer of friendship right off the bat. He is a bit more discreet about doing that unless the other extends theirs first (which is the most likely situation). It is almost as though he were shy, in a way. He may be the one initiating the interaction in some way, but he is nearly always uncertain as to how he should continue it. Should he speak? Crack a joke? Offer them something? Would they judge them if he did? He is never quite sure. To those in his inner circle, this tall young boy is an immensely protective force to be reckoned with. While he may have enough patience to deal with the sharp remarks pointed at him, he will never lay low when such phrases or comments are directed at a close friend or family member. He is quick to jump to their defense in this situation, not coming swinging but giving the one stupid enough to tempt fate a rather harsh glare – fit with crossed arms and a defensive stance. And don’t even think about attempting to slip under his radar to commit such actions. Laban is no idiot. He is both smart enough and attentive enough to tell that something may be up. He knows the telltale signs of discomfort in his loved ones, the mischievous or even hate-filled expressions of thus who plans. Few things slip past his watchful eyes, and he will not take any hints of malicious intent or agitation lightly. Although shy and a bit awkward amidst social interactions, this Thayer son is pretty confident. He believes himself to be well off in his various abilities, never faltering when they are put to the test. He trusts that he is capable of handling most things thrown at him, even things they may otherwise be unfamiliar with. In such a case, he will work hard to understand and work through the issue or assignment – something he picked up after years of farming experience. No task too small, no mountain too large is essentially his motto whilst going through this. However, there is one thing he holds supreme confidence in: his survival skills. From the moment he could walk, his father began teaching him all the different methods to surviving out in the wild – in case he were to ever get lost. Marking trees for a path, building fire pits, foraging, and the like were all topics covered. Sadly, his training was cut short due to the attack but he has continued to work hard and refine his survival tactics as well as formulate new and effective new ones. Strengths: + Physical Prowess + Survival Skills + Stealth + Kindness + Thick Skinned + Hand-To-Hand Combat Weaknesses: - Easy To Overwhelm - Social Interactions - Speed - Gentleness (At Times) - Easy To Spot In Crowds - Weapons Usage & Knowledge Crush:
His lovely and ambitious girlfriend Significant Other/Spouse: His girlfriend, Franchesca Kin: Open to a brother or two, and maybe a younger sister. Daniel (NPC) – Father; Deceased Open Affiliations: Open Other: - Laban was born into the farming life, residing on a “ranch” of sorts for the first eleven years of his life. Though this life was cut short, he learned many valuable lessons from this time and still holds onto his hard working ways. - Laban’s father Daniel was killed in the attack seven years ago when attempting to save Laban. The boy has blamed himself ever since. - This white haired man is, indeed, a Christian. However, he is not a very strong one and has much to learn. But his faith ever there. Does my own work in progress dragon story count? :p If not, then I’d have ta choose Eragon. Edited at March 6, 2024 02:16 PM by High Hills Pack

Hyoga returns once more --- --- --- - Name - Hyoga "Glacier" in Japanese - Age - 217 Years - Gender - Male / Masculine - Role - Original - Class - Ice - Rider - Skylar Sophia Odin - Appearance - Hyoga is a dazzling individual who stands at only 16 feet tall, putting him in the average height range for young dragons. His general stature is lean and built for agility rather than strength or combat, yet some muscles can still be defined along his torso and wings that excentuate his build. His tail is long and thin like a whip, with Needle-like spines along the top that are a slightly transparent indigo color. His snout is also lithe and long for a dragon, but not so much that it isn't defined. His wings protrude from his form and span the length of his body, long enough so he can wrap his bat-like wings around himself and halfway around a smaller dragon. As a result, he is also a rather fast flier. Hyoga's claws curve in slightly and are made from pure thick ice, similarly to an icicle but sharper and much harder to break or melt, however it isn't impossible under intense heat or weather. His spines are a similar case, starting from a little behind his forehead and down all the way to his tail tip. Hyoga's spines are slicked back and cannot move, though they do provide adequate protection to the back of his neck, back, and tail. He is a lithe dragon by nature, but thanks to his scales he seems a little bulkier than he actually is. His scales have a bit of a velvety texture and are white in color with a slight light blue ombre at the end half that's hard to notice, and all are tipped with a very strong but somewhat thin layer of indigo colored ice that wraps around the pointed side of his scales (like this! -click-). While it allows him to have better protection against a threat, they can be melted or evaporated due to intense heat, and render him rather vulnerable due to the softer nature of his scales. Hyoga's eyes are a piercing light grey color that could be mistaken for white if someone didn't have a color for comparison and are crowned underneath some scales that protrude from his body a little more than the rest. His underbelly is a similar shade to the rest of his body, however is just slightly lighter in color and unlike the rest of his scales lacks the ice covering and blue ombre that happens at the end. Additionally, they are more flexible and soft, making his underbelly very vulnerable. Hyoga has two beautiful horns that protrude from his head and twist towards his back. They are the same semi-transparent indigo color that the ice along his body is, however despite appearances these horns are not made from ice. Similarly, he also has long curved spikes on his front ankles to help him grip the ground, and long spikes along his spine all the way to his tail that also curve back, getting smaller as they go. Hyoga's wings are a dazzling mix of white, light blue, indigo, and pink. For the flesh part of his bat-like wings swirl a pale indigo and pink color together almost like a galaxy while the frame of his wings remain the same white scales with a light blue tip. However, unlike the rest of his body his wing scales do not possess the extra ice protection coating the tips, rending his wings as more of a weak spot despite how durable they can be. A thin coating of Icy mist seems to follow this dragon wherever he does, overlapping his body and, if cold enough, leaving a barely existing layer of frost on the ground he walks on. While it will melt rather quickly (and makes the cave floors slippery, oops) the icy mist is much more biting were you to try and touch it. Contact for 10 minutes is enough to give someone frostbite, and initial touch can shock someone from the sudden change in temperature if they're not careful. Hyoga can tamper the mists biting effects however for someone he trusts so that it instead feels like a constant cool breeze rather than being dunked into ice water. He cannot make it more intense than it initially is. This dragon walks with purpose. Each step with a goal to get somewhere or achieve something, and never for just a casual trip to hunt or play. As such, he also sports a rather proud posture, with his head held up and steps confident, but sometimes very clumsy. He flies with the grace of a trained ballerina, able to turn on a dime (though that's not to say the rider will stay on ;w;) and cut through the wind quickly. Hyoga is an interesting dragon to be around because one can never really know what he is thinking if you were to look at his face. He keeps his expression carefully neutral in situations, however his body language says it all in terms of emotion. From tucking his wings in, a slight wrinkle in his shout, restless shifting, and even lashing his tail. He tries to be secretive, but really he is not. - Personality - Hyoga is a very proud dragon, always holding his head up high and never shying away from a challenge from someone, even if he knows he'll end up losing in the end. He is not boastful however, and finds showing off any skills he may have or his looks feels like a waste of time to this individual. Why try and do something that will have no effect on the future when he would be doing something productive instead? Hyoga is also a very meticulous dragon. Any task that he has been assigned he will make sure he does it right. All possibilities and ways must be considered, and in the end the task must be thoroughly completed so that it leaves little room for error. He will work days and nights just to make sure the job gets done even if he finds he is exhausted, and takes great pride in knowing it's been completed as good as it could have been. This does lead to some overthinking however, and any pressure someone puts to get it done earlier is always dismissed unless someone is able to back them up. This ice dragon is as meticulous as he is hardheaded. Once he believes in an ideal or gets set to a task, it's very hard to be able to get him to accept what he considers defeat or giving in. When he has a goal, that goal must be completed his way. Though that isn't to say he isn't a little bit adaptable once he gets a slap to the face and shake of reality It's mostly his pride speaking, but if you can get him to stop and try to work with others then you'll find he is an adaptable individual, though reluctantly. He will offer his input and ideas and try his best to bounce off someone else, but due to him not being the most social of dragons, it's hard for him not to be rude sometimes, though unintentionally. His hard headed and tunnel vision nature causes this male to focus hard on things, though sometimes it's the wrong thing. When he knows it's the wrong thing he's focused on he either commits anyways or immediately abandons whatever he was doing, however unsatisfying it is to leave a task unfinished. As mentioned before, Hyoga is not a very social individual. He keeps himself at arms reach of someone else both emotionally and physically, and it's hard to connect with him. If he can, Hyoga prefers to mostly be alone, but doesn't mind the occasional company of someone else. It's not that he doesn't trust others, more that social interaction makes him antsy and uncomfortable, the male never knowing how exactly to respond to someone else. Hyoga is a very sincere dragon. As in, if he promises something you bet he'll uphold it until the day his corpse is lying 10 feet under bloody and broken. From promises of devotion and loyalty to another person or dragon, to even something such as a swear to vengance or to hunt someone until the ends of the earth, his word is always upheld with the most serious and stubborn way possible. If Hyoga is able to stare you in the eyes and say something close to sounding like an oath, it's best you sit up and listen to his words. He would throw himself in harms way time and time again if he promises to protect someone, take the brunt of the blow of a fire attack, you name it. Likewise, however, he would stalk and find anyone he promises vengence on. Hyoga would make sure their last moments were spent in terror, and the deed is always carried out. Whatever you did to piss him off this much, the person or dragon probably deserved it. Catches onto moods easily Sassy Action-orientated --- --- --- I'll add more eventually - Abilities - Hyoga has grown a bit stronger since the start of forming his bond with a rider - Protective Ice Coating - All of Hyoga's scales are tipped with a coating of pale violet colored ice that helps to both give him a bit of bulk and extra protection. It helps him appear prettier too, but this ice layering can easily be melted from 90+ degree temperatures, rendering his soft scales rather defenseless. He can regenerate his scales if his body temperature manages to cool down - Icy Mist - A thin coating of mist seems to follow Hyoga wherever he goes. Said mist creates a thin layer of snow on the ground that melts within milliseconds within 70 degrees weather, but makes his body cold enough to give someone frostbite within 8 minutes if they're not careful. The initial shock is usually enough to give him a slight advantage during battles. While Hyoga can make it weaker, like a small cool breeze, he cannot make it colder nor freeze bodies of water. This ability also doesn't work if he overheats or is in hot climates - Formidable Spines and Claws - The spines and horns on his head and back, along with his claws (including the curved ones on his ankles) are all made from thick ice, like an icicle. While they may not appear very sharp, they can deal quite the impact and inflict shock onto someone else from the sudden freezing sensation. It helps to protect his back from enemies looking to grapple or ambush, and helps to give him the edge. This ability still works on warm-blooded creatures, however it's not as effective. While this ice cannot melt to the point he loses them, they can certainly shrink to ineffective nubs in the right heat - Ice Blades + Tail - If the temperature of the area is cold enough (30 and below) or it's around the 50 mark and the air is humid, Hyoga is able to turn the ankle claws on his front legs into long blades of ice he can use to cut objects and fight. While they are relatively sharp and durable, it hinders his walking ability into something more clumsy if he were to run and can still melt if in contact with something warm. They are sharp enough to cut through flesh and small trees, but not nearly enough for something such as steel or bone. In terms of dragon scales, they could certainly damage them, but it would take some effort to chip them, or even deal enough to get through their defenses. In terms of his tail, the spines that collect there can grow in length and weight, giving him a rather effective bludgening weapon. These are harder to melt, however they still follow the same properties as his ankle claws - Ice Breath - Hyoga is able to shoot deadly frost from his mouth. He can control the concentration, from a thin piercing shot to a wide mist that could cause frostbite if the target is close enough to the concentration, doesn't wipe it off, or stays in it for prolonged periods. The special properties of the ice make it so it's hard to break or melt, however I imagine hot climates, bludgening weapons, or even dragons who possess hot abilities will be able to get through it alright. Additionally, his body temperature must be at a stable, low temperature in order for him to use this. If he overheats he cannot use this ability as his throat would be too warm and the ice would melt in his mouth. Hyoga is unaffected by this ability, even if he suffers a direct shot. It would hurt like hell, but the worst case would be a temporary owie, as the freezing sensation deals the hardest blow. Through time, he has also learned the mist is a useful cloaking mechanism for him and others resistant to the cold, and the concentrated shots hit like a sharp dart, however can never break skin. The more concentrated the shot is, the more severe the cold. His most concentrated shot can cause frostbite in a minute if not wiped off - Strengths & Weaknesses - + Hyoga is certainly the cunning individual. Or, at least he knows how to get his prey right where he wants it, when he wants it. Don't underestimate this dragons conviction. When he wants to remain hidden, he shall. When he wants to play a little cat and mouse, you better be ready for the long haul. When the hunted becomes the hunter, you better run + This dragon is known for being very fast and agile both in the sky and on land! You'd be surprised by how quickly he could turn on a dime, though that's not to say his rider will stay on + Hyoga is rather observant, so he catches on easily to small hints dropped or shifts in atmosphere. This also means that he learns quickly, though not without some practice and practical thinking + He likes to put his own spin on skills to find how he can elevate things. From simple fighting techniques to persuasion, it's interesting to see how he's tried to put a new way of thinking on something no matter the outcome - Hyoga keeps his distance from both humans and dragons, which makes it hard for him to establish good connections and trust with others. This does also lead to some isolation and missing communication skills, but he's tried getting better at this - This ice dragon is a little too reliant on cold or a little blow average temperatures for fighting. As most of his abilities only work when the climate is right, he's left a bit defenseless in hotter areas. Hyoga has learned to rely less on them, but it's still quite a challenge - It's easy to tell when Hyoga gets Anxious, and it happens rather often. He can get overwhelmed with sounds and it causes him to just... shut down for a little bit until it passes or he snaps out of it - Hyoga's pride tends to get the better of him in certain situations. From making a complete fool out of himself, to being just unreasonably unyielding in a few circumstances it becomes both a nusiance and quite endearing. It's good to have some pride, but too much tends to hurt him quite a bit in the long run - Crush - OPEN - Mate - N/A - Kin - PM me :) - Affiliations - Always open! Original riders and dragons feel free to PM me so we can establish relationships between the group ^^ - Other - Happy to be here again ^^ - Wings of Fire was an awesome series that carried me through most of my sudden reading urges haha Edited at March 6, 2024 08:28 AM by The Magic Man

Appearance:
Scales as dark as the depths of an abyss blanket this creature's form, the tenebrosity found upon the natural plating remains unparalled in its starkness, as if he were fashioned from the same material as the farthest reaches of the universe, where the stars do not cast their light upon the shadow. Indeed, there lives an unsettling quality in the totality of the darkness, for there is an element in the matte scales that, instead of catching the brightness of daylight and torch-flame and refracting it in a display of a brightly shining surface, seems to the absorb the light in his presence.
A living shadow whose darkness is all too noticeable in the burning light of the day, the brilliant rays radiated from the sun high above fades when his wings spread and the flicker of a campfire within a forest sputters and pales when the sinister form paces by. Whether the stark black outline amonst stone and forest, still unnervingly darkened for the amount of light streaming from the sky, like a clear-cut shadow daring to wander under the sun, is a figment of the imagination or a genuine quality inherent to him, is undisclosed information.
The eyes are oft considered the window to the soul, for they communicate more than simple direction a soul is gazing in, an element to a individual that characterizes their being, hailed to be a lovely quality to those who bear the many colors that can be found within, however it is these same components that elevate this creature from simply ominous to unsettling. For these particular optics display a white that is the shade of bleached bone gleaming underneath the scorching desert sun, the purity of crisply untouched snow shrouding the hard ground underneath its silencing blanket of frosting chill, seeming to hold within their stark depths a faint brilliance that belongs to the distant pinpricks of stars marking the velvet expanse of the night.
Colorless eyes track the motions of those who inhabit the world with the intensity befitting that of a hunter, a stark shadow of a creature that appears to be not flesh and blood and bone but instead a soul crafted from the deepest depths of the void, the appearance of which only heightened by the unique aspect that occupies his optics. For these peculiar eyes do not demonstrate the normality of visible pupils and irises and sclera, the constituents of this creature's vision bear the unchanging shade of such a stark white that it is difficult to gaze directly into his visage, creating the impression that the components do not exist. These such parts are indeed present within the paleness of these optics, although an indentical shade of unadulterated white, unsettling in the illusion of unbroken slate like that of the glacial arctic.
There is a logical conclusion to be made regarding the number of eyes this creature bears, it is simply reasonable to assume that he is in possession of the twin pools of pure white that occupy his countenance, for while the appearances of similiar creatures vary wildly from a individual to another, multiple eyes beyond the twinning optics most are blessed with are exceedingly uncustomary among souls. That is plainly not the case with this sinister creature, for upon the forehead is located a third eye and a forth one is placed directly on the back of his cranium, these additional optics remaining concealed by black-scaled eyelids, rendering them nigh indiscernible until the moment strikes that a glimpse of a tintless shade grace the tenebrous scale. Those supplementary eyes serve an important purpose concerning the state of abilities as well as increasing his visibility, each bearing the distinctive illusion of pupiless voids of brilliant white.
It is often a breathtaking spectacle to witness a creature many times the stature of those stray souls who linger in the presence of such a demonination in which the forces of nature have left the imprint of its presence, among many qualities that are displayed in a congregation of these reptilian lifeforms, it is the measurements that are the feature that draws the attention from brilliantly gleaming scale. It be no different with this creature whose dimensions rank among the largest of his brethren, standing high among the majority of assemblage at a height of twenty feet when determined at the point of the shoulder, a serpentine neck resting upon the muscle and bone of the clavicle extending the considerable stature further to an intimidating twenty-four feet at the uppermost incline of the cranium. A towering configuration of shadow made flesh and starlight coalesced in a visage befitting that of death, the overarching menace in the spiring shape of the deepest reaches of the galaxy embodied is unmistakable, an ominous harbinger of dread he appears to be.
The construction of this creature is one that is not destined for a powerful hardiness that is oft present within other living souls, despite the astounding height that he towers at, there is a unequivocal narrowness that is showcased in the aerodynamic constitution that he possesses. Instead of the power that many of his brethren are endowed with that is wrought from the forge of the enviroment they had traversed in their youth and of their own configurations, the muscle hidden beneath protective scale is of a sleek quality that ripples beneath the flesh when in motion like a stream of water flowing above obstructions. Despite the appearance of a slighter figure that is deceptively fragile, astoundingly sylphlike for a creatue of his stature in a manner that lends an ethereal asmosphere to him, there is a quiet power in his sinew that is simmering beneath the scales as it eagerly anticipates the moment it can be utilized.
Scattered upon the sinuous curvations of the spine are flecks of an aurelian coloration, like a conglomeration of molten stars glittering against the backdrop of an expanse so dark that it is fathomless, dappling the entire length of the tenebrous scales sheltering the creature's vertebral column. Like dust shed from the incandescently blazing spheres descended from the celestial heights, these flecks of an utterly luxuriant shade appear to coalesce upon the flowing contours of the spine to envelop the majority of the abysmal darkness in the manner of a blanket of snow melting to expose the patches of earth beneath its frozen grasp, collecting upon the narrow slopes that compose the lines of his form and cascading down either side of his silhoutte like the drifting of stray snowflakes gliding from the heavy clouds that contained them.
The set of wings that belong to this creature are as black as the wings of death and twice as ominous, an impressive fifty feet in length when they spread to their complete span and composed of a leathern material that is durable enough that the strongest sunlight does not illuminate the layers of tissue stretched over the bones of the wings. There is an additional coloration to these abysmal wings that embellish the underside of the limbs in a rather intriguing patterning that is often remains concealed, for the color is so dark upon the shadowed expanse of the wings that it is rather difficult for the eye to distinguish the change in hues and so it is the natural assumption that the wings carry an unbroken blackness like the rest of him. Jagged lines of a deeply rich purple coloration carve narrow paths through the darkness of the membrane of the wings in a manner that is reminiscent not of the crackling energy of lightning but the sharply defined cracks that appear in the bare earth when it is completely dried and splitting apart.

Personality:
This creature, as young as he is, is an interesting thing indeed.
The first thing to notice about Euclid, and the most stark one, is the air of watchfulness. Even when in respose, even when he is resting and relaxed, there is the unmistakable feel that he is observing those around him. Indeed, it is true that he watches others with an attentiveness that is strange. The focus of a predator is not one to be underestimated in its observance, for a danger is nigh always present within such a gaze, as is in his own glance. It is an unsettling thing to be the target of his observations, for what he is looking for within others, is unknown to them. As with many things, his motives with this particular aspect is a thing undisclosed to many.
There is, sometimes, a sense that many of the words that flow from his mouth, that the motions that are made, are the product of calculation. A performance conducted only by himself, unknown but for a select few, if any at all. It is the feeling of an actor, that perhaps the one speaking is merely a mask in lieu of his true self, that is his manner. Indeed, nothing is accidental with this youth, the placement of a word is as calculated as the image he has cultivated amongst others.
Even as young as he is, when placed alongside those who are his elders, Euclid holds a natural charisma as is befitting a dragon of his kind. A type of charm is present within his actions, the allure of an intriguing figure and graced with a tongue of silver, this drake carries the potential to tear those around him down. True, he is unexperienced in the artistry of harnessing this particular attractiveness to his advantage, unpracticed in the skill of persuading those around him to the degree that he is capable of. Nevertheless, manifestations of this talent pertaining to his lineage are alive.
There lies an aspect of his temperament, far from a flattering one, that makes this creature a considerable adversary. It is the quality of pursuing vengeance when faced with a wrong, often to extremes, that is a distinguishing trait of his. Indeed, when he is roused to anger due to the actions of another, it is a dangerous thing to behold. Oftentimes, retaliation will not be forthingcoming in a prompt manner, rather it is a quiet thing that creeps upon oneself insidiously, a haunting shadow prepared to strike.
It is important to note, that although there are many undesirable characteristics to him, Euclid does have positive traits that twine together with the negative to create his personality. One such attribute is his faithfulness, a devotion for a select few whom he knows as those to be trusted wholeheartedly, the strength of his loyalty is a everlasting flame. It is a nigh impossible feat to perform, to take that loyalty and shatter it into fragments of what was, yet it is attainable by few methods. To eradicate that faithfulness is not a brilliant choice, for as completely as he loves, he loathes twice over. Those few that have managed to work their way under his shields, chiseled the stone from his beating heart, earn a companion unlike any other. It is the change that emerges in the company of such individuals that is a surprise, for it is unexpected of this nigh aloof creature to be amicable in his manner, nor the honesty that bubbles to the surface a foreseeable quality. Perhaps it is the acceptance of those he knows to be friends, the ability to acknowledge the worst traits, that is most curious; for although it is unlikely that he will allow himself to be steamrolled in a disagreement, Euclid embraces loved ones wholeheartedly, negative facets included. Indeed, it is a friendship that can draw interesting aspects of one's character from hiding, and it is no different with him. Abilities:Thank you so much, High Hills for helping me out with this! :D-Dream Manipulation-True to the nature of this ability, Euclid can change the dreams of others, shift and twist them into such outlandish visions that the mind would not be able to comprehend them, morph the terrifying into peaceful and vice-versa. It is indeed a powerful ability, to hold domain over the mind at rest; while in the realm of dreams, he can make anything happen. The capability of this terrifying power is seemingly endless, limited only by his own creativity and intentions, yet there remain some limitations to this aspect of his powers. A requirement is that this dragon has to be somewhat near to the target in order to enter their mind, and by extension dreams, successfully, and the farther away he is, then the harder it is to mantain a steady control over the dreams. The closer that he is to the individual, the easier it is to take hold of those nighttime visions and begin molding them, shaping them, to suit his purposes. If the target of this manipulation begins to awaken, then Euclid's hold will essentially be thrown away from the mind in what seems to be an instinctive response to a foreign presence lingering in the mind. Nor will his ability work if the individual is nearly asleep but still clinging to wakefulness, although in some cases, this can be rectified, it is often a sign that he needs to wait a bit longer. This is a power that cannot be used in a hurry, while some of his abilities can be ultilized quickly, this one of the ones that cannot be rushed, or else it will fail. This dragon has to take his time when entering another's dreaming state, slithering his presence through the cracks in the mind's defenses that loosen while at rest, and find what he intends to change. Too fast and the target will awaken, foiling his attempt; too slow and he will be too late, either the individual will be waking natually or the dreams would begin to fade. There is a slight risk of preforming this quickly too, of plunging too deeply into the unsuspecting mind and find that he was a hard time navigating his way out and back to his own body, while there always remains a tether to the waking world, the farther he immerses himself in dreams, the fainter this anchor becomes. While typically the workings of this ability is to manipulate an already existing dream, warping it into something else entirely in some cases, Euclid can occasionally manage induce dreams in others, even when the individual has not entered that particular part of the sleep cycle. He can trigger dreams in those who are not quite at that phase yet, or rarely, exiting the specific section in which dreams are active. This is fundamentally an act of inserting dreams into the mind, of issuing a type of suggestion in order to begin the dreaming process, thus allowing him power over the subsequent dreams. Scarcely used is this aspect of his ability, the strain of entering a unsuspecting mind and therefore manipulating dreams for several days afterwards is enough of a deterent, except for situations in which he needs to perform it. It is typically only used in conjuction with his Hypnosis ability. Indeed, the art of manipulating dreams and worming into a mind is a delicate one. A mistake can lead to consequences, the severity of which depends on the circumstances. If he is not careful, then his attempts will be a failure until the next night. It is a procedure not to be taken lightly, no matter how simple it may seem to those without this ability, for it is akin to balancing on a tightrope, a work of patience. The limitations this power is beholden to, the circumstances in which it is helpful, may seem hindering, but the sheer capability of it balances out the scales. -Illusions-Euclid can cast illusions, lifelike to the point of being able to trick others into believing that what they are seeing is truly real. Similiar to his ability of dream manipulation, he can create visions bizarre to the point of unreality, and conjure fantastic sights that are impossible to distinguish from the real world. Perhaps this power is even more alarming than his alteration of the sleeping world, for he can produce such visions that make one question what they are witnessing is a fabrication or reality. A truly powerful ability to be able to toy with another's mind, it seems to only be restricted to the creativity of his mind, yet of course, there are certain limitations to this power. While these illusions are wonderfully realistic to those who have the misfortune or pleasure to view, a requirement to a convincing vision is remembering the appearance of what he is creating. It is a necessity to know what he is bringing into the world, what is looks like and the characteristics of behavior so that he can control it properly. The result of incomplete knowledge regarding appearances will result in a unsettling vision, one with familiar features not quite correctly arranged and proportions a hair too short, the mark of a insufficient memory. Even for completely fictional projections of imagination, beasts and objects both, he takes elements from creatures that exist in the world, from plants and sights he has seen before. A requirement of this ability is concentration, it can be effortless to create these illusions but not quite so easy to maintain them, and the thing that keeps them present, or so they appear to be, in the world is Euclid's focus. The more elaborate an illusion is, the larger in size it is, the more concentration is required to uphold the hallucinations. If his attention were to waver due to any disturbances, the illusion will reflect the lapse. If distracted completely from his task, the vision will disappear into thin air, just as it came into existence.
While often limiting the illusions he casts to simpler sights, occasionally he can produce massive alterations to the visible world around everyone for a shorter amount of time. These changes can be as complicated as twisting the appearance of an entire forest into something utterly unrecognizable to those familiar with the woodlands, or filling the vast expanse of the sky with nearly black storm clouds and lightning, to simplistic alterations such as erasing the sight of grass within a clearing or the addition of non-native flowers in a meadow. Due to the sheer scale and complexity of these widespread illusions, the complete concentration dedicated to maintaining it, these larger illusions are not often utilized except in the direst of situations.
There is a third limitation to Euclid's powers, most relevant to the capability of creating a massive illusion. He cannot create large scenes, altering the appearance of the enviroment around him, without there being a consequence, or by even casting several more complicated ones in quick succession. After such an exertion of power, there will be a noticeable strain on Euclid's part to create illusions for a few days, even insignificant illusions do not leap into the world like they usually do and instead tenatively flicker before solidifying like normal. This aftereffect is essentially the mental equivalent of straining a muscle, his illusions will be hindered greatly afterwards, and he is nigh incapable of producing more than small objects or tiny alterations to the enviroment without struggle.
As with any form of art, for accuracy to be achieved, the knowledge of how the form takes shape is essential. It is no different with the ability to conjure illusions of what his mind can think of, held in place only by the power of his attention. While it seems a simple thing to do, this is an ability that takes practice to accomplish consistently.
-Powerful illusions change eye appearance, black sclera, white pupils
-Thought Manipulation-
Interestingly, this ability is a multifaceted power. Each part of this particular ability is separate, an individual linked only by the relevance found at the basis of each one, yet slotting together perfectly like pieces in a puzzle to create a complete image. -Thought Insertion
This is quite the interesting portion to arsenal of abilities that he carries, quite the weapon if wielded correctly, for Euclid is able to essentially implant thoughts into another's mind, ideas and opinions that are not the product of their own consciousness. He can seep poison into the minds of those around him, encourage the mind to betray itself with vitriolic words that once cultivated slither through the cracks unbidden, insert thoughts of suspicion and negativity to fan the sparks of instability from mere embers into a blazing inferno. He can project a flood of thoughts into an unsuspecting mind, inundate the target with a stream of foreign ideas and opinions so that it becomes difficult for the receiver to parse through the often disjointed things running through the mind.
A requirement of this particular facet of the ability is that this black-scaled creature has to be within the immediate area of the mind that he is intending to insert thoughts into, as with his Dream manipulation, it is easier to enter a mind when he is nearby opposed to being a bit of a distance away. Unlike with the aforementioned ability, Euclid can tamper with another's thoughts from a distance, it will be difficult if the individual is not within his line of sight, but as long as he can still sense their mental contemplations, the action of such a thing will be able to be enacted. Although the implanted ideas will be more like vague notions, a fleeting thought that begins its fading the moment that it appears in the mind.
This certain aspect of the triadic ability requires concentration in order to work correctly, to project things into another's mind takes careful placements in order for the thoughts to feel natural to that individual.
While it is his preference to affect only one individual with this ability, Euclid however, can turn the power onto mulitiple within his direct vicinity. However there comes a strain to remaining in contact with multiple minds at once, no matter how weak-minded they are or how close to him they are, and the difficult
-Selective Thought Detection
Euclid is capable of, to an extent, dectecting thoughts of those around him. It is only those who are nearby and it is far too confusing to slip into more than several individuals' minds at once, he instead prefers to target one mind at a time in order to allow his own mind to process information properly.
Similiar to ability of dream manipulation, Euclid typically has to take some care while listening to another's thoughts. If he hurries too much and barges right into a mind, then something will be noticeable to the target and he will have retreat and try again later, and oftentimes cannot to be too slow in slithering into a mind or else the mind will have likely moved onto a different focus. And he cannot remain in a consciousness for too long or else his focus will begin to wane and a strain be imposed on his own mind, namely in the form of a headache, and immersing himself too deeply into a mind instead of skimming the flow of thoughts will make it harder to exit the mind in a timely manner. While he is not as vulnerable to outside attack as he could be, he is typically quite focused on the target's thoughts and can experience a lapse of attention on his surroundings. . Navigating his way out of the mind is not much of an issue, as he tends to barely linger within the mind, just deep enough to read the individual's thoughts, and so he can pull himself out quite quickly if needed to, although it is not an immediate process.
-Pyschic Scream-
This particular ability could technically be used as an offensive attack to scare and throw a healthy dash of confusion into the midst of enemies, but the drawbacks to this discourage him from using it as an attack. Instead it has found its place within his arsenal as a strictly last-resort ability, to hopefully buy his allies enough time to disengage and flee to safety.
This is a very simple ability, merely a more powerful branch of his Thought Insertion power. Best used in a crowded environment such as a battlefield where many individuals are grouped together, Euclid can insert a terrifying, otherworldly shriek into the minds of opponents that he had chosen to affect, while this is strictly a mental ability instead of a sound that is audible to everyone in the vicinity, the inserted scream is powerful enough and startling enough that those affected are usually momentarily tricked into hesitating in their actions at the very least, with more affected individuals completely halting in their tracks for a few precious moments. This is one that has no need to peer into minds in order to determine the best moment to insert it into the consciousness of those around him, it overpowers the thoughts that would be occupying opponents' minds for the duration of the ability. This ability can affect up to fifty opponents at the same time, although that is a tremendous strain on Euclid and his powers and so he typically needs to prioritize those who are the closest to his allies or are the largest threats.
A large drawback for this ability is that it can only be used once and then enters a cooldown period, said period lasting six days before he can manage to utilize it again. Furthermore, it will be much more difficult for him to either insert thoughts into a mind or peer into another's mind for three days after the Scream had been used. Not to mention the strain that is imposed directly after issuing the ability, it is a mentally exhausting one and he typically will show signs of physical fatigue and a headache after using it. Truly an ability to be used sparingly and in the most direst of circumstances.
-Pyschic scream, defense mechanism (only able to be used 1x), last resort
-The really "big" power (like inducing dreams and creating one big, detailed illusion)
-Hypnosis-
Euclid has the ability to hypnotize others and therefore issue and plant subliminal commands in the consciousness of those targeted by this power, oftentimes used in conjunction with dream manipulation as he can send those hypnotized to sleep where he can induce and then manipulate their dreams.
The sight of him utilizing this ability is rather captivating, the third eye that is placed upon his forehead opens to reveal the stark white depths that characterize his eyes and the tenebrous expanse of his wings stretch to their full length and are tilted in a manner that exposes the underside of the wings properly. The hypnotism begins when the target of this ability directs their gaze to his third eye, whether by their own reflex or by another forcing their attention to it. When direct eye contact having been established, Euclid will begin to light the intricate patterns on his wings in a constantly changing display of light, the deep purple appearing to ripple upon the canvas of his wings with the shifting illumination from within, creating a rather mesmerizing background within the peripheral vision as his third eye flashes in the same manner. It is as if the expanse of white that is the third eye shifts with the vague impressions of colors that is only apparent to the individual being hypnotized, alongside the gently vacillating glowing of his eyes as the inner light within the eye brightens and dims in a frankly hypotizing manner, the subtle ripples and patterns that seem to appear within typically encourage the target to stare all the more deeply into that entrancing pool of white.
The drawbacks to this ability is that when actively hypnotizing an individual, Euclid needs to be completely focused in on the one he is choosing to affect, if he wants the hypnosis to work, he cannot break eye contact or allow the lightshow to falter. Therefore, this means he is quite vulnerable while using this ability. Unlike the other abilities that he has, there is not a massive energy drain nor is there a horrible cooldown period lasting for several days afterwards, although he cannot hypnotize more than two individuals within a span of several hours unless he is purposefully looking to have an intense backlash from useage.
-Third eye open is required
-Purple in wings and eye swiftly flash colors, like cuttlefish hynotizing prey
Strengths & Weaknesses:
-Extra Eyes-
-Increases range of vision via opening third, and particularly the fourth eyes
-Offensive Combat-
-While quite slender in build, he is still quite large and is more than capable of dealing decently hard blows to opponents, opposed to playing a defensive role
-Agility & Speed-
-While not quite a quick or agile as smaller dragons are, he is still surprisingly swift and nimble for a creature of his size, and he will use this to his advantage -Being Underestimated-
-He is rather unassuming in appearance other than the sinister aspects of his appearance, not many spikes or spines are to be found and he is rather slight in build. It is to his advantage that many dragons brush him off as being not a big threat.
-Stealth-
Primarily due to his coloration, Euclid is rather stealthy for a dragon who is definitely on the taller side. Dark in color with a less heavy build, he can lurk in shadows large enough to accommodate him virtually unseen, and he can creep through the night with a stealth that is surprising.
-Strength-
With a lithe build that is suited for speed and agility than anything else, physical strength simply does not come to him as easily. He is not weak, but he is noticeably less powerful than other dragons who are more built for physical strength.
-Vengefulness-
-Euclid holds a grudge and holds it very well, he will not let a wrong pass without some sort of retaliation, it is the nature of this trait that makes it into a weakness.
-Defensive Combat- -Due the lack of many spikes and horns and the natural weaknesses that come with having a more lithe frame, he is simply not a good choice to be the more offensive in a fight.
-Damaging Eyes-
-Fourth eye connected to Illusions and Thought manipulaton, if damaged/taken out, takes out Ilusions (maybe completely) because he has to look at desired location for illusions and it allows him to continue illusions that are placed behind him and hinders thought manipulation
-Third eye connected to Dream Manipulation and Hypnosis, if this one is damaged/taken out, takes out Hypnosis completely and severely hinders Dreams
-If eyes are damaged (namely the extra ones) ability connected to it is hindered or completely taken out until eye heals
-Damaging a primary eye will weaken the connection and therefore strength of his abilities, but not as severely as taking out an extra eye
-Loved Ones-
For as loyal as he is and as wholeheartedly he as he trusts those who have become close to him, they can be used against him just as easily. While doing so will undoubtedly land anyone on his bad side, there still remains the fact that if his loved ones are in danger, especially by an outside threat, then he will do practically everything he can to keep them safe unless very strongly told otherwise. And even then, he might just decide to do something about the situation himself. Crush:
