Hey, it's not weird. I find it very unique! ~ And yes, the Hobbit is the prequel to the original trilogy. Lord of the Rings is very good, even if it's plot is very simple. "Good Guys find magical mcguffin which if the bad guy has let's them take over the world. Good guys go on long magic road trip to destroy it. Good guys triumph, as almost all do". Obviously it's nowhere near as simple with the actual context of the story... There are evil corrupted demigod wizards. Demonic Wraiths chasing them across the lands. Fire monsters trying to pass bridges. Character deaths. Giant Orc Armies Brain Washed Kings A Final Stand, which was probably one of the coolest castle seige sequence in film. Dues ex machinas... Gollum. Evil McGuffin tries to corrupt the main character. War across the nations. Many character deaths A Final-Final Stand McGuffin destroyed in a... What? A Plot Subversion? Everyone is traumatized after the events of the story. And they live happily ever after. ~ Oh yeah, and the characters are all very good. It's worth it if your a big reader, though it's a HUGE commitment to try and read all 1240ish pages of the series... Not counting the Hobbit. |

That sounds cool. I do know there is a lot of stuff in the Lord of the Rings books. Yeah, I'd say that plot is pretty simple in relation to some really complicated plots.
I am a big reader. My normal time for reading through a book causually is one day, maybe two if I'm going at a longer one. But if I just sit down and start reading? It'll be done in a few hours or so. |

I am a reader, but it usually takes me a bit to read. I don't read super fast. My record for fast reading is of Mice and Men, which is around 120ish pages. I read that in a like three hours, but I'd already read it so I was like muscle memory at that point. ~ ... Lol. But anyways... Jurassic Park and other syfy stories for inspiration! Jurassic Park was a really good book too. |

I read it the year Fallen Kingdom came out, I still feel stupid for not realizing it was a book until then. But yeah! It is very intense, and I enjoyed it a lot. Ceradactulys was there too. The OG pterosaur of the series. ~ Have you read A Song of Ice and Fire? ... Well, it's more popularly known as Game of Thrones but the series is called A Song of Ice and Fire... |

No, I do have knowledge of the book's and TV's events and stuff. Though I'm not the MOST familiar with it. Basically, it drew me in with wolves, and dragons.
