Plot Wind devastated the vegetation littering the once lusciously golden green forest floor, tossing up shredded leaves and branches. It wasn't just long gusts, no, the winds tore at the land with a grudging roar never seen before in every which direction that changed unpredictably. It was only a grim beginning of the feared yearly wrath of the sky itself; Matris Irae. The event was all but anticipated. Natural disasters sprouted around the vast valley, which was large enough to have smaller valleys within, destroying everything in it's path. The aftermath of a volcanic eruption combined with an earthquake were the culprits to blame, the extreme changes of temperature and land sending the winds into a fury. River floods and even the creations of entirely new rivers and lakes occurred in the process. The finishing act of the storm was usually a week long period of non-stop rain and thunder; unlucky years had forest fires. This unpredictable land was home to two apex predators; wolves and dragons. With every passing Matris Irae, prey grew lesser and lesser. For the wolves, this was a fearful omen of the future bearing war and death. As for the dragons, it was a minor inconvenience. What's the problem with leaving, then? The two species need and rely on each other. Wolves rely on the ancient knowledge of dragons to know how to survive the Matris Iraes, and learn how to speak different tongues and the past of the land to hunt and prosper. Dragons may have wisdom, but the sheer emotional intelligence wolves possessed went deeper than they could ever begin to imagine. Wolves had the knowledge of the forge, the arts, medicine, and gathering. Therefore, without each other, both would infinitely perish. And so, once a moon, they meet to exchange knowledge as an age old tradition continued.
- Though, as the food grew less and less, tensions sparked and meetings were delayed further and further which only inflated the fury between the two species. Without the knowledge they both desperately needed, the health of both creatures was dropping by the day. Dragons were seen as selfish and vain creatures, while wolves as violent, rabid, and cruel. They both resorted to hunting the predators they deeply respected, tearing down populations of cougars and crocodiles. This destroyed the food chain as a whole without even realizing it, digging the grave deeper and concreting demise. The destiny of the Great Valley sits upon the shoulders of the leaders of each species. What will you lead your loyal (or not so) followers into? Wars, territorial skirmishes, rigid pack rules and demands or bargaining and cooperation? As for the rest of you, will you pour your blood and soul into the wishes of your leaders or go behind their backs to frame others and add more coal to the bonfire? Choose your future, and choose it well, for your entire species may perish from a single wrong step. - Knowledge of Wolves Wolves hold the most dignity and honour in the entire valley. Wolves within the packs know their place, and if not, punishments are severe. They are the holders of most medicinal knowledge, have the best Artisans around, and are well known for clean kills and good food preservation. The fire of dragons taught them the forge and use of clay.
- Knowledge of Dragons Dragons hold the most wisdom and passion. They pass down knowledge to new generations, lifespans ranging from 0-3200 if they aren't physically killed. They have the ability to write and carve in a written form of their language. Dragons lack the deftness of wolves, and are less skilled in art. They also lack the patience of wolves, but their ambition and drive make them successful in almost any maneuver, no matter what it is. Malevolent and glimmering, they're a force to be reckoned with in physical power. Fire is in fact generational, and few dragons have the power to breathe it.
- Shared Tradition Courts occur only in the pack/thunder the Accused belongs to, albeit witnesses from others with permission. Betas hold courts, almost always as a pair. These work similar to real life. The trial begins with the Betas stating the crime of the Accused, and go through every piece of evidence. After, Witnesses share anything different they encountered. The Accused has no choice but to confirm or deny every statement, and if denied, state what actually occurred. Once confirmation and denial occur, the general pack/thunder are allowed to discuss any proof they have, and see if times they saw the Accused leave or partake in activities etc match up. One volunteer then states what the pack/thunder think. If guilty, the Accused is either given the option to be Hunted with a small chance to escape in a painfully long process of being chased down and attacked until lost and/or death. The other option is a swift and painless death. Finally, if innocent, they are demoted and set free. Dragons/wolves usually forget what happens soon after, varying with severity of accused crime. Roles - Alphas One of the 3 mutual roles for dragons and wolves, and the face of the thunder/pack. They have the power to do everything and anything. Deciding eating orders, discipline, who goes where and does what, behind the scenes, anything you can think of. Betas Usually close friends or a mated pair that have done great feats for the pack/thunder, they are in charge of holding courts, leading hunts, and sending border patrols. They have considerably less power than an alpha but the same or more responsibility. War Commander In charge of selecting groups to declare war, training any willing fighters, and bringing groups to battles no matter the severity. Be it small territorial scrap or pack-wide war, they will be there. Also act as the one to keep peace in their own pack squabbles. Lords and Ladies Either demoted alphas, betas, war commanders, or the mates of betas. They don’t actually have that much power, but they must be addressed with either Lord or Lady before their name. Artisans The ones in charge of firing and forming clay pots, skins, pelts, and possibly things like tooth and claw war jewelry/souvenirs. Work directly for the alphas and don’t have to answer to anyone else unless in case of an emergency. Some prefer to live off territory. They also serve as medicine makers and “healers”. For dragons, they’re the writers as well. Omegas Never a role to be taken lightly. The worst of the worst, creatures belonging to this role are either imprisoned rogues or survived Accused. Last to eat, always having to remain in a slouched and approachable posture, disobedience is never tolerated. The punching bags. Edited at November 6, 2021 06:24 PM by vimprei

Dragons and Thunders Ages 1-120 year olds are considered dragonets. 120-245 year olds are adolescents. 245-350 year olds are young adults. 350-1480 years are the average adult ages. Anything 1500-3200 are considered elders and deeply honoured for their strength. - Chroma Thunder Slightly smaller than Noctura dragons and exploding with any range of colours except for black, these dragons have the best Artisans in the valley and are known for their agility, speed, and glimmering scales. It's common for them to have luminescent mouths and large ruffs like a frilled lizard does. This thunder enjoys rainy weather and lives in the luscious rain forest, neighbouring a warm freshwater lake. They have smaller wings and prefer gliding, but are perfectly fine with flying if need be. Omnivorous and far from picky eaters. Despite their cartoonish appearance, dragons in the Chroma thunder have horrifyingly sharp and serrated fangs and talons. Their bite force packs a severe punch. This thunder has the least amount of fire breathers around.

-infinite Omegas -Open -Open - Noctura Thunder The secret keeprs, the planners, and the strategizers. Holding the western mountain ranges and delta for territory, these dragons come in all colours as well. The catch to this? Every colour is darkened deeply. Unless it's a shade of blue, this thunder doesn't have a bright speck on them. Commonly very spiky, these dragons are robust, and have a lot more fire breathers compared to the Chroma thunder. A lot of these dragons have a vast mane of spikes and long, sharp tails, also adorning crowns of long and thin horns. As ideal as they seem to appear, they lack deftness in the finer things and cannot compare with the agility of the other dragon thunder. With spikier wings and sharper scales, one could almost mistake one for a sentient cacti. They're seen as hotheads, and prefer head over emotional thinking. (Of course, this is simply a stereotype and does not fit every dragon) - Fire breathers remaining: 5/6 (will appear beside a dragon's name, not separate) - Alphas -Open -Open Betas -Open -Open War Commander -Open Lords -Open -Open Ladies -Reserved by Spellbound

Wolves and Packs Aging follows Wolfplay's logic. An average sized wolf would be a couple inches below the shoulder of an average sized Chroma dragon, and an average sized wolf is approximately at the elbow of a Noctura dragon.
- Venatora Pack Notorious for their appearance, these wolves live in the foothills and eastern swamp range. A good amount of their pack has an evident shine in their pelts due to their diet and environment. This pack gets hit the hardest by the Matris Irae, the coast sometimes flooding over. This pack is the most desperate as this is gradually shrinking their land, and have several ongoing squabbles with the Inferna pack over hunting too close to boundaries. The artisans in the pack focus on war jewelry, experts with crafting "string" from leftover hunts and pulling out teeth and claws. Certainly a fearsome pack.

-infinite Omegas -Open -Open - Inferna Pack This pack is arguably the healthiest. Appearances have no specific critera, though most have muscles better suited for running. Living in the hot Magna Meadows, the only shelter they get is a swampy forest at the very edge of the continent and dens in the mountain foothills. They were the first wolves alongside the Noctura thunder to settle into the continent, and have a passion for hunting. Artisans aren't as highly respected so there are less, this is a more traditional pack that prefers hunting and gathering. - Alphas -Open -Open Betas -Open -Open War Commander -Open Lords -Open -Open Ladies -Open -Open Artisans -Open -Open Wolves

Rules All WP/Forum RP Rules Apply 1. I do not tolerate Mary/Gary sue type characters. Everyone has a weakness. Even a dragon versus a wolf has decently fair odds. Please balance your characters. 2. Character limit is 4 to avoid burnout and also more to do when one is rp locked, and on the note of burnout only 2 higher ranked characters per person. This includes Alphas and Betas.
3. Please keep it at the very least 450+ words for the sake of semi-literacy, absolutely no one-liners. NPC use is allowed if you're short and need to extend any interactions.
4. Keep in mind everyone is simply using a character, do not get mad at a person if their character is annoying yours or trying to start a verbal or physical fight. If it's pressing buttons, please do tell them. If you read the rules, put your favourite movie in Other so I can approve you fully! 5. Your own art or detailed description only for dragons. As for wolves, follow WP stock rules and add a decent length description of physique. If you want to get more words in, feel free to add weaknesses and strengths under appearance if you burn out. If you have any questions, please PM me or ask in the thread if it's up at the time of asking. 6. For wolves, height and weight is preferred but not needed. More than average, less than, or average is alright for dragons since it's quite hard to get exact proportions. Also, appearance altering defects are allowed (piebaldism, melanism, albinism, etc) but don't overdo it. Consider how rare this is in real life.
7. Include a heading. This can be as fancy as you'd like, as long as it includes name, species, rank, mentions, and anything else you'd want to like such as location, mood, and age. 8. In the event of a passing alpha, the oldest beta is appointed as an alpha. 9. You'll have a full week (ex thursday to the next thursday) to post at least twice. If you haven't let me know of any absences, your character will be removed. 10. Killing or fatally wounding without permission isn't allowed, and please ask in the discussion thread before starting a physical fight. 11. Reservations last 48 hours. Name: Mokosh Age: 300 Gender: Female Species: Dragon, Fire-Breather Pack/Thunder: Chroma Thunder Rank: An Artisan Appearance: Credits on Image, credits to Pack #280404. My OC, I will hurt you if you steal this :) Personality: This female is quite a complex creature. Outwardly this female looks to be a kind and gentle soul just from the delicate appearance, but she is far from such a thing. One who knows her , knows that she's quite the tough cookie. They find she is a very stern and serious female - one with a commanding tone in both her voice and eyes, one who could scare anyone shitless when she snaps. This female seems to wear nothing but a serious expression on her face - one always calculating, observing and analyzing things. This creatures bears a serious tone when she speaks and a regal posture whenever she is moving or does something. Her bark is as worse as her bite, when she says something - it's not a threat, it's a promise. If you cross her and she swears to end your bloodline, she will find a way to do it even if it takes years, and she will damn well take you by surprise on this. Yes, she can be vindictive when she wants to be - this is her last resort when angry and one has to royally screw up to make her this mad. Her anger is a mixture of passive-aggressive and aggressive : it depends on the offense. The more severe you offend her, the more aggressive in nature she will be. She is not above baring her fangs and slashing her claws upon another's scales to show her anger and assert dominance, of course if you're higher up then she can't do such a thin - then she'll just resort to finding ways to embarrass you , whether it be by : tripling you, exposing your secrets, or if she's feeling bold - just plain up disrespect you. This female is not above being petty by it's one of her lesser seen traits , but just a fair warning - don't push her unless you want to see her fangs. This female is very well versed in horticulture - she is a lover of flowers and fruits and everything that grows within the ground. She is very good with plants and has what can be described as a green claw. Her flowers are always vibrant and her fruits are always tasty and beautiful in coloration. Not only is she good with her claws in gardening she's also good with her hands in crafting items. Her patience and determination keeps her going with her artisan skills, it's probably why she's also very skilled and detailed with her works. Her favorite item to work with is glass, she just loves working with the molten material and making beautiful and intricate glass creations. This female also goes to the extra mile of making sure her materials are also only the best - so if necessarily she will travel vast distances for one perfect item and she won't hesitate to fight someone for materials she needs. This makes her very resourceful and crafty, being able to find what she needs and get it, she's quite the negotiator and good at haggling for lower trades - however, if necessary she will use poorer quality material , she just won't be happy about it. She also has the hobby of writing in scrolls with paper she makes from resources she finds or trades with others. She uses these writings to keep records of her crafting along with inventory of her items. This female is very organized with her collection of things, she collects - many types of jewels, crystals, and rocks along with plants, coal, different types of wood, and small things like vines and even leaves. The day to day aura of this female can make it seems like she's a snobbish character. She's visibly seen with a more judgmental look when watching others or even look of impassiveness. To really get her happy or to see her eyes being bright with excitement is to see her working on her craft. Even then if you are interrupting her doing something important she will snap no matter your rank or who you are. This female is very blunt and straightforward, she will call you out on your bullshit if needed - if she dislikes, insults, or disapproves of you or something you'll feel it hard. If not from the look in her eye ot the tone in her voice that seems okay with it, but something in your head warns you that you shouldn't do it. She's fearless as she is cautious, yes she will fly into danger if needed but of course she'll count the costs if needed, but she won't hesitate to do something for those she cares about deeply. This female is very picky about who she chooses to be friends with, so if you are someone she cares about deeply then you must be very special. Kin: Possibly Mate: Hmm. Crush: We'll see Affiliations: TBD Offspring: No Other: Edited at November 6, 2021 08:47 PM by Spellbound
