Thousands of years into the future, America has been divided into two separate countries. The first, and the most wealthy, pleasing country is known as Harmony - a utopia, filled with plenty of opportunities and a variety of people. Everyone here lives with ease. Plenty of food, water, and other supplies to get by. There was never an issue for years.

That was until now.

Their newest leader, Miss Elizabeth Rey has been assassinated by some fellow surviors from No Man's Land - the second country. It is a wasteland, filled with nothing but bloodhsed. It's a survival of the fittest life there, and normally, nobody ever makes it out. However, this group of surviors killed Elizabeth to prove a point that she does absolutely nothing for her people, even if she technically doesn't rule over No Man's Land. This sends Harmony into a frenzy, the people worried of who will rule over next as she had no heir.

Fortunately, a lethal group of assassins have been trained for this exact moment. After questioning multiple civillians and figuring out that this group of survivors from No Man's Land did in fact kill the leader, they are tasked to go ahead and track them down, avenging Elizabeth. Their travels will be harsh, cold, and ruthless, but nonetheless, they will reach their goals regardless.

But after finding the group of survivors, the assassins realized that they are a product of war - half-man, half-machine. They have never been treated like a human being, and have never experienced true emotion aside from what they were forced to feel.

So it is up to you;

Do you take pity on the survivors and try to help them - show them what their lives could be, or do you do what you were supposed to - kill them, and show no mercy? The choice is yours, but these foreign enemies don't exactly know what they want either.

I : All of WolfPlay's rules

II : Do not clog threads; discuss only in discussion

III : Me and Corpses both have power to decline forms

IV : No over-powered characters

V : This isn't a roleplay all about you and someone else, or just your character. It's a group roleplay

VI : LGTBT+ is accepted in this roleplay. Preferably no starting "Romeo and Juliet" romance because that is boring, cliche, and leaves little opportunity for "character development"

VII : No romantic relationships between your own characters, thanks loves

VIII : You have few strikes. We do not do the "three strikes and you're out rule." We do it to where we use knowledge of the past and how horrible you're being

IX : If you have a history of over-powered characters, we'll know

X : You may start with up to two characters, and only one in a high-ranking position. It'd be rather dull to have you playing a second-in-command and a leader, wouldn't it? It'd turn into a solo writing piece. Please post your roleplay example in a link

Harmony

Harmony is a prosperous country. Filled with roughly eight million people and is ruled by a dictator. Considering it is a utopia, Harmony seems to have minimal issue within their own country (beside the fact that they do sometimes struggle with their dictator, but that's the only issue that's ever remained).

The city is about ten thousand square miles, the center being the most beautiful area - it is where the leader lives with their family. It is a huge mansion - three stories high, a garden, and even some crops if they want it. Throughout each leader, there have been slight changes, though nothing drastic has changed.

The rest of the city is filled with tall buildings - very rarely will you see smaller buildings. There are things like bookstores on top of cafes, apartments attatched to stores, etc. The buildings are very close together, and you're lucky enough to even get a house that isn't touching another building. The living situations are rather small, but that is because of how many people do live in the city. Each apartment room holds roughly three people - more than that, it will be overcrowded. A house in the suburbs will get you maximum five people.

The city's theme is of a beautiful marble - the buildings are rather shiny and futuristic-looking, the side-walks are just as bright, and the roads are minimal considering that yes, there are indeed flying cars, high subway terminals, etc. The reasoning for this is because there are in fact some buildings so high, that they reach above the clouds, and some people do live that high. However, these are people more than likely related to the leader somehow, and have been granted that living situation.

However, buildings are still tall enough regardless if they're above the clouds or not. The reasoning for this is because the city sits on top of a body of water, or at least most of it does. The entire city is built on a platform, parts extending from it and so on. It is qutie sturdy (obviously), and hasn't needed any repairs since it was first built.

No Man's Land

Just as the name sounds - this place is not one to be messed with. To keep it simple, it's a desert land. Barely any food, water, or shelter. In order to survive, you must learn the harsh ways and learn from your mistakes, even if it's the tiniest one to possibly be made.

Scattered throughout the land are small, secluded villages, probably between large sand dunes and such. The villages don't hold more than two hundred people. The highest population ever in a No Man's Land was three hundred and six. Nothing has topped that, and since the killing of the leader of Harmony, it has slowly dwindled.

The villages throughout the land are normally made of a small square - small shops, and you're lucky to get one customer a day. The housing is much more spaced out than that in Harmony, and their housing style are something similar to tipis, though are a bit wider. Their only materials are the few trees that manage to grow in their conditions, and some of the animals they hunt give them the hide they need for the outside. They are built sturdily.

No Man's Land was originally a warzone, becoming what it is now due to little to no population, and because there was a necular war. Considering that Harmony's leader barely ever ensured that the land was doing okay, they always got whatever was thrown away - mechanical parts, leftover food, some water, etc.

The mechanical parts did end up playing a big part into the people of this region - they are half-human, half-machine. Some are mostly machine, others minimally. This was to help with protection and endurance, but some got this under harsh circumstances as well. Regardless, they were still able to live through it.

There are parts of the terrain that are quite rocky and harsh, though do make good shelter from sandstorms if they ever come. Most villages are between these rocks and high sand dunes, which can make a worse living situation. However, most people just take what they can get and go without many things.

Harmony's Assassins

The lethal group of assassins sent to kill the No Man's Land survivors. They are highly skilled - nimble, agile, witty, and intelligent, and you'd be wrong to cross one. They are made of six people. These people were individually picked by the leaders of Harmony, and their role is respectable. Among themselves they have been assigned roles.

Leader
Just as it sounds. Although they still technically take orders from Harmony and its leader, they make the calls. Their word is law, no questions about it. They are more than likely the most experienced out of the group and probably knew the leader personally. They have authority over the entire group, and only are ever replaced if they are found guilty of something or simply want to step-down, die, or leave the group with honorable discharge.

Second
This is the second-in-command. They enforce the rules, help the leader with decisions, and may take their place if they are absent/step down. They are probably close with the leader - perhaps a partner or relative, or just an extremely close friend. They are also hand-picked by the leader of Harmony, but is normally recommended by the leader because of their relations and training.

The Brains
This person is highly intelligent and is brought along for not only their skills as an assassin, but because of their brain. They have an amazing intuition, and their education will always come in handy. They normally plan out operations (with the leader's permission, of course), and help operate the entire group (partnering people together, where to send them, etc). However, normally these are merely suggestions, but are probably the best bet for the group's safety.

The Hunter
Just as it sounds - skilled in hunting. They help provide, most, if not all of the food for the group and are normally accompanied by the Brains or the Combatant. They are skilled in tracking and things like bow and arrows, knives, etc - basically anything that would relate to hunting.

The Combatant
Just as it sounds, this person is a bit above average than the rest of the assassins. They are a deadly combination of combat strength and will, and are probably not to be messed with. They are knowledgeable in a lot of weapons - long-distance or close/hand-to-hand combat. They are normally partnered with the hunter and help with their job, and are normally tasked with helping the Brains as well.

The Medic
A rather useful assassin. They specialize in medical treatment, and are very educated on what to do when someone is injured. They come along on every single journey - big or small - to ensure the safety of the others.

No Man's Land Survivors

The ruthless group of half-man, half-machine survivors who killed Miss Elizabeth Rey. They are not to be messed with, as they are a product of war and have been taught to do the worse and have known nothing better. They are not as organized as the Assassins, but damn sure know how to fight and protect themselves. They're just trying their best to get by, is all. They are also made up of six members.

**Note that if you decide to make one of these survivors, they will not be more than half machine. This is to prevent characters becoming OP. Please keep this in mind.

Leader
Their word is law and is not to be questioned. They have full authority over the whole group and are probably the most ruthless person you will ever meet. They decide where the group goes, what they do, etc. Generally, they can also punish others, though they honestly don't have much for rules, so even safety in numbers isn't always your best bet.

Second
The leader's right-hand man or woman. They are probably close with them, and have known the leader for quite some time. They help enforce the rules (if there even is any), help with punishments, etc. They are just as ruthless as the leader.

Medic
If we're speaking honestly here, this is probably the most important role considering what is happening to the survivors right now. They are knowledgeable in medical emergencies, herbs, etc. They are to be protected at all costs, as replacing this person is never cheap.

Members
The rest of the group. They're in it for their own reasons - survival, companionship, because they considers the other friends, anything. They pull their own weight and everything they do must be passed by the leader if it involves taking distance from the group.

If you can tell if a certain thing isn't necessary (likes, dislikes, other), don't fill it out. The same goes for machine-based questions, which are meant for the No Man's Land Survivors (mechanic parts). The part centered around your characters opinions of both groups is very much preferred but not necessary. Both are meant to be filled out together. Thoughts on current group, and thoughts on opposing group (and their mission, if they have one)

A tragedy strikes a futuristic America that is divided into two regions - Harmony and No Man's Land. It is the assassins' jobs from Harmony to track down survivors from No Man's Land and bring their leader to justice, but after seeing what these foreign enemies are, loyalties may be mixed up and more tragedy may strike.

Name
Marlene Hedge

"Tell me all the ways to stay away..."

25 | Female | Harmony's Assassins | Second

Thoughts on No Man's Land Survivors
Marlene is definite that she will kill them if she ever gets the chance, regardless of how broken they may be. She does not care for them whatsoever, but she has a slightly different view on those who were not involved in the killing of Miss Elizabeth Rey - she feels some sort of pity for them and wants to help them, but knows that even Harmony couldn't handle outsiders.

Thoughts on Harmony's Assassins
Her friends. Family. As simple as that - she loves working with these people, even if they don't all get along. Marlene would never betray them, nor would she want to leave them. Besides, she's known them for how long? No use in backing out now.

"Your life depends on yourself, so why hide what you are?"

Alias/Nickname
Blackout | Earned through her use of quickly disarming and killing enemies. She isn't entirely sure how this alias stuck, but here she is.

Mar | A simple nickname.

Hedge | As she is formally called, though she could care less what you call her.

Zodiac
Saggitarius | December 10th

Pronouns
She | Her | Hers | Herself

Orientation
Lesbian

Marlene has always been relatively open with this, and doesn't plan on changing. Don't like her for it? So be it.

"I've lost people too, you know?"

Height
5'10

Appearance
Marlene holds herself at five foot ten evenly with a darker skin tone. With African-American heritage (both of her parents were), Marlene has a warm brown skin tone with red undertones. She has a lanky figure with lean muscle, mainly in her arms. She possesses only slight curvature in her hips and thighs, but because of her fit and athletic frame, there isn't much else to be seen. Marlene has minimal scarring throughout her body, the most obvious being on her face. There is a small scar crossing the edge of her lips, which is a faint pinkish color. Moving along though, she has very clear skin and keeps her face as clean as possible.

Marlene has a rather slim face, and is more of a sqaure shape. The top of her head is (of course) round, though comes to an angle as your reach her defined jawline. She has dark, round eyes that are a dark almond brown in color, light speckles of gold rimming her pupil. They are lined with thin yet long lashes, making her eyes pop out just a bit more. Her eyebrows are full and are black in color, slightly angled downwards at the ends. Across her left eyebrow is another scar that crosses near the center of it. Moving along though, she has a bit of a wider nose, though is a bit more narrow towards the middle and then wider at her nostrils. Her lips are wide and full, and purtrude further from her face.

Marlene has thick, black, curly hair that reaches to the middle of her back. She normally keeps it in a ponytail, as trying to do anything else with it will result in her having a breakdown cause she cannot do hair for the life of her. She may even put it in braids, though a ponytail is her go-to.

Marlene's face can be rather expressful. Most see this in her eyebrows, the slight downturn up upwards turn of her lips, etc. Her resting face is rather relaxed looking, though may change depending on her mood. Generally, she has the slighest bit of a smile on her face, though if in a foul mood, her general face expression may change to a resting bitch face or even a slight frown. You get the gist.

Her attire consists of neutrels, and she prefers to wear things that are easy to move in. She likes flowly fabrics and light ones, and wears universal boots that help with covering terrain.

Emotional or Logical?
Emotional

Marlene believes in following what she feels, which can lead to irrational choices, or ones that could put herself and others in danger. This especially counters her role as Second - not everything she does will be for everyone, either, and might appear as a bit more selfish.

"Useless or not, I still love you."

Personality
Marlene is a woman who shows authority and enforces rules, considering her role in the group. She understands the importance of what is to be followed, and takes orders and will give others orders if needed. She is rather defining, and always says what needs to be said. Marlene is informative as well - she's always willing to answer questions if needed, or will try to throw in as much (useful) information as possible. She doesn't like throwing out false or useless information, though if someone does question it, she'll present it.

Marlene prefers to stay as reserved as possible. Although rather sociable and can definitely hold a conversations, she is a mix up of an introvert and an extrovert. In crowds, she's bound to be lurking on the outskirts of it rather than being in the middle. Though if approached and greeted by a smaller group or an individual, she will in fact respond with ease. She does feel more comfortable in smaller groups though, but huge crowds don't bother her either.

Marlene is generally calm in stressful or dangerous situations. This allows her to think as quickly as possible, though because she does still feel some sort of stress or hurt during these scenarios, she may act based on what she feels rather than what is more logical. This can lead to the endagerment of herself or even others, and for this, she tries her best to think of others. Generally, she is quite selfless and is always putting others before herself, but of course, her emotions may become too intense to prevent her from acting on what she feels.

Marlene possesses a will like no other - she has a work-ethic that is so strong that she stops at nothing to complete a certain task. She can become hyper-focused, preventing her from listening to anyone, although it does help getting things done. It just sort of depends on how you want to look at it. Marlene can become a tad stubborn as well, but not just because she wants to work. It could apply to if she thinks an idea is stupid, won't work out, etc. Anything along those lines.

Marlene can become quite... obsessive. When she has something she needs to do or is tasked to do, she will do that thing no matter the cost. As mentioned before, she can become quite stubborn because of this. However, this gets especially worse when she's doing something for herself and not for someone else or other people.

Speaking of ideas, Marlene speaks about her own all the time. She will tell you how it is, and doesn't like to sugarcoat things because she knows how cruel the world can be. Marlene can be a bit harsh, but she is not going to say something just because you might want to hear it - no. That just isn't her, and she's never really been that way. Not much would ever change this aspect to her, even if some may dislike her for it.

Marlene is quite protective over the people and things she cares about, and it takes a lot to actually see this. She isn't one to express her feelings towards someone, and even though she may feel a certain way about you, she doesn't tell you right away. The only exception is if she doesn't like you - assuring you, you will indeed know if she doesn't like you. She is quite confrontational though, and if she puts her mind to it, she can tell you how she feels about you. It is easy to tell when she does like you though - small gestures, helping you out, greeting you whenever she gets the chance, or willingly having stupid conversations with you.

Marlene is quite tempered. She has a tendency to put this to use during battle and combat, but she doesn't always get the chance. Marlene has taught herself to calm down and collect herself, but if angry enough, it will all come out. During times like these, she may say some things she doesn't mean and will apologize for them later. However, it does take a lot to provoke this woman, but you shouldn't mess with her regardless.

Marlene is quite independent, but she doesn't mind working in a group setting. She may manage to do some things her way and herself, but of course, she knows when she needs help versus when she doesn't. This also explains her longing for trying to express her emotions - she believes that showing how she truly feels can mess up anything and cross the line, but deep down she just knows that isn't entirely true.

Marlene can hold a grudge like no other. She does not give second chances, either, and her willingness to help you should never be taken for granted. Marlene will always make her intentions known with you, good or not, especially if she doesn't like you.

Strengths
Combat :: As anyone else in the group. This one is a given, but she is especially trained in hand-to-hand combat, as she is agile, nimble, and quick on her feet and with her hands.

Witty :: Marlene is a quick thinker, which is useful in stressful situations. Normally, it helps everyone in the long-run, even if her choices are rather emotional-based.

Leader :: She knows how to lead and understands the need for a good leader in life. This doesn't just mean as her role, but also what to show in order to improve yourself - she's always wanting to help others grow into (hopefully) better people.

Weaknesses
Grudges :: When she holds a grudge, it can prevent her from working with said person and her willingness to work will more than likely deteriorate. Although she would do anything for those she cares about, that does not mean she's going tow work with someone she despises.

Size :: Marlene could easily be handled by anyone larger than her. Although she is above average for height, her physical strength can be beaten, but luckily she is quick to move. Still an issue, though.

Emotional :: Marlene feels, just like anyone, though this is what drives her. Although it does make her alive, and maybe more alive than others, she doesn't always do the logical thing.
