Name:
Evita
Age:
9
Gender:
Mare
Herd:
The Plains Herd
Rank:
The Lead Mare
Desired Rank:
She's Achieved It
Thoughts On The Other Herd:
They Mean Nothing To Her. She Is Focused On The Survival Of Her Own Herd, Just As The Other Herd Is. Her Herd Has Traveled At Length And Has Gone Too Far From Home Just To Turn Tail And Run - No, She's Determined To Secure Them A Spot. While She Would Prefer To Do It Peacefully - If The Need For A Fight Arises, She's Not Above It. However, She Sticks To The Simple Rule - If The Other Herd Is Friendly With Them, Then They Will Be The Same. If They Are Met With Aggression, Then She Aill Retaliate In Kind, As Long As They're Not Bothered - She's Chill.
Appearance:
Upon looking at this mare you notice her beautifully painted coat. Her coat can be described as a lovely buckskin dun coloration - a sight that can remind one of honey if they look close enough. The subtle lighter dun fur intermixing with the darker hues of buckskin and then it seems someone dumped a paint bucket on her when she was upside down because she is marked with overo markings. These markings cover her front legs completely while a thin sliver creeps up around her forearm and up to the crown and travels down her neck to her cheek and covers a good portion of her muzzle. Towards her loin and dock is a nice splotch that travels down a thin line along her stifle to her gaskin and down to the hindquarters and back of her legs. She also has a small "beauty mark" on her left flank and it drips down near her barrel.
This female has a very nice build - it's one that's a bit stocky to show her power and strength, especially around her hindquarter area and chest and shoulder muscles. Yet, she has a certain slender and elegance to her build - one that allows her to be swift when she does need to flee. She walks with a certain unspoken confidence in herself and she always seems to have a bit of pep in her step. She also stands at a proud height of 16.4 HH, significantly taller than most females, definitely taller than her mother who was only a mere 15.1 HH while her father was much taller - so it's obvious where she got her height from. Now her coat has a bit of scarring from her younger years, she has two major scars : an old healed scar along her right side, it's three long and jagged lines that look quiet deep even though they're healed - she earned that from defending her foal from a bear attack. The other major scar is on the left side of her chest where a bite mark resides - she doesn't like talking about this scar a lot, but it's been with her since she was a filly. And she has littered scars about her body that have a range of stories : scrapes from a cliffside, thorn bushes, hunted by wolves, or even scraping herself in a lake. She doesn't view these scars as ugly or a shameful, they're a testament to her age and a full life she's lived.
This female has a feminine face, with a muzzle that is long and slender. On her forehead is a thin line that comes down the middle of her face and under her eyes like a little mask around them. Towards the mouth and nose area of her muzzle is a light pink and soft grey color. She has some dark brown eyes with a light inner ring that reminds one of bright topaz and they're framed by lighter almost honey colored lashes. The forelock on her mane is a light colored tan colored and then as it go back it is a bright white color and then another brown patch but this time mixed with a tad bit of black and then followed by white and finally a smidge of light hair. At the dock of her tail is a offwhite color - almost a grey-whitish one, which leads into some light blonde strands and then followed by a dark brown - an almost ombré like effect. This female has a raspy voice yet one that has a certain feminine charm to it. Her scent is that of wild honey, mist with hints of upturned earth, and wildflowers.

Personality:
This female is more quiet and reserved, she's not one to just waltz up to someone and socialize with them. Rather, someone would have to make the effort to come and talk to her. She's content to graze by herself and just observe the butterflies and other little things of the world. This mare is quite knowledgeable about nature and other things - and she quite enjoys talking about nature to others. This female isn't necessarily shy, but moreso cautious and picky with who she chooses to associate with. She's had past associates betray and burn her trust so this has led her to be quite skeptical when someone wants to be her friend. However, if someone wants to make small talk with her or just talk to her she will politely accept the conversation with them and socialize since they needed, she's not rude like that, but - if she deems your company undesirable she will not associate with you, and she will not entertain conversation with you or if she does it will be rather short. Yes, she may be more of a more reserved nature but she will not be pushed around by anyone - and she isn't afraid to send her teeth or hooves your way if you're making nuisance of yourself.
This female by nature is of a more mild and even-tempered one. Not one to encite arguments - purposefully, start drama or fights, or even raise her voice. She causally watches drama from the background and doesn't interfere with it unless it's dealing with her. However, she can be passive-aggressive when needed - she knows how to make the sarcasm and venom drip from her words but this is mainly reserved for those who have absolutely works her last nerve. This female isn't partial and she just doesn't judge anyone haphazardly - to be deemed unliked by her or someone she'd be passive-aggressive with then you must've done something big to offend her. This female is courageous and rather bold - though she may be on the sidelines more of the time she knows how to matters of importance when the time comes for her to rise to the occasion, she can speak out when needed to and defend someone if they can't defend themselves if she so chooses. She would face danger head on - no matter the cost: whether it be a raging river to save a foal that's drowning, a pack of wolves that's trying to harm a herd member, or even a raging forest fire. Yes, she has the courage to face tremendous trials and she also has the patience and intelligence to not act foolishly when facing them and she can keep a level-head and remain calm and be a source of strength for others even if she doesn't realize she is. She's a very quick thinker and good and analyzing situations and "reading the room" , she can be a rather valuable asset if someone were to instill their trust in her.
When it comes to her children this female is most definitely a fierce creature. She will do anything for them and stop at nothing to protect them from harm. Anyone who makes her child cry or hurts them will feel her fury - no matter the rank or species she will do something to at least get a lick in if she can't do anything immediately to remedy the situation. She is a stern and rather strict creature with her children - teaching them how to behave and what they can and cannot do along with the essential skills they will need to survive. She holds her sons close to her heart as she knows they will leave eventually if they don't settle down within the herd -but, she knows most likely they'll be driven out so she makes sure to especially teach them manners and how to survive so she justified maybe can hold on to them a bit longer. She's also very selective on who her children associate with and this can lead to her being deemed a "helicopter parent" or overbearing however she lets them make their choice of association - yet, she will make suggestions and give hints of her displeasure of them hanging out with the party involved however, when said person gets out of hand then will she make known her children are forbidden from hanging with them. This female is a mother who expects to be listened to and obeyed, and she will not tolerate disobedience from her children and she has very creative punishments for them. While she may be seen as a strict mother, in honesty she just loves them and wants the best and if it takes being a little firm and tough then so be it - however, she's not always this type of parent for them she can be childish and goofy with them but that's only when they have shown themselves to be mature and she knows that they'll follow her wishes.
When it comes to love this female has a possibily popular - yet, unpopular viewpoint. She quite likes the ideas of just having a mate, but she understands the need for males to spread their genes and "legacy" however, she thinks it would be quite exhausting to have such a large herd and having to remember all the names of the mares and not to mention who's child is who's and who is the father. That's why she thinks it's idiotic for males to have only one lead stallion and not having the lead stallion and say a couple other stallions with him. After all how the hell would he keep a large ass herd with just him and another male, females would be stolen left and right. She thinks harems make more sense and are more intimate, she wouldn't mind being in a harem with a male and possibly one other female. However, she is a also rather a jealous creature when it comes to stallions she likes - she doesn't like flirty or lusty eyes on them and most definitely would make a display of said stallion being hers whether it be by grooming, laying her head on them, or just plain getting near them. When she falls in love she falls hard and it's not just anyone she'll like , they have to meet her standards.
