Alex saw the face of disgust and sadness that Axel tried to hide but quickly froze when he heard the question. He simply stared at the vampire not knowing what to say or respond but naturally he simply shrugged. " My pet dog died" Which was clearly a lie because there was no scent of any pets but he was used to laying so why not another one? He managed to keep his drinking hidden from Olivia

Alex had found himself watching the human closely with sudden interest but when he heard the question he immediately stiffened and telling by the lack of foot steps and the sudden in draw of breath his sister was too. How should he respond? With a lie? He couldn't tell the truth. Alex sorta looked away from Alex and pretended to be looking at the dust floating in the air before looking Axel dead in the eyes as a lie fell out of his mouth so easily due to him lying do much.

Alex nodded thankful he could be alone in his own house but still wondering how to introduce Axel to the pack which most likely wouldnt be happy. He seemed to sense that Axel was unhappy and tilted his head slightly " Would you like to take my room? I can take the couch or the office " He muttered knowing that strangely the large house only had three bedrooms , two which were bedrooms, and one Alex turned into an office when he had paperwork , pack business , or just random things he needed space for . The couch was quite comfortable so he wouldn't mind and as strange as it was he found himself already going out of his way to make the thing comfortable. He cleared his throat " Did you get the time for when I have to be there since I want to get there before Hunter and Lacey does so we have time to get sorted bwfore the whole pack shows up and it turns into a fighr before the rabbit as time to even open his mouth."Alex said finding that he would rather call Axel the rabbit rather than the thing.

Alex raised a brow and stared at the stubborn vampire who he believed just flirted with him and he shook his head. " Okay, that works I will blow up a mattress and give you stuff so you can make your self comfortable. Also rabbit ,keep your little dreams of sharing my bed with me to yourself since I am not gay. Think 8f it as we are just roommates and I don't like your presence " Alex smirked , proud of himself from replying in a bored tone rather than a flirty tone . " How dare you" His wolf growled in the back of his head he Alex rolled his eyes in reply to the wolf.

Alex cleared his throat as he stood patiently by the door as he watched Axel freak out. " You are such an idiot it is sad just follow me and they won't touch you. I don't have time to waste since I would rather just get it over with than argue with Dominic as wolves are chasing you around since to them you are a rabbit " He growled with a annoyed expression as he waited by the door. The sound of wolves howling in the distance caught his attention but he knew it was them still in their human forms howling like wolves and he whimpered before flaring at the rabbit. " If they see you like that it will be worse but I am the beta of the back so it is better if you leave now with me" He growled a possessive urge come over him as he thought about what they would do to the little rabbit if he was caught alone and couldn't help but to grind his sharp canines against his bottom teeth. Unlike most werewolves Alex actually had sharp canines in human form even if they weren't long he still seemed like a predator and was often compared to one. The wolves howled again and he picked out a deeper , more called howl from the rest and was relieved that Bear showed up since he knew he could trust Bear around the rabbit.

Alex glared down at the vampire as he stopped grinding his teeth together and was about to snap at him when he smelled wolves and he stiffened a bit before continuing his walk without missing a beat as he sped up and made sure he was in front of the little rabbit behind him. " Stay close " he muttered as he set his clothes down and looked around with tensed muscles before walking causally into a clearly at reeked of werewolves as he glanced to see if Axel was okay before snapping his head around when he heard the snarls and eyes of the werewolves watching the rabbit like prey. Alex stepped in front of Axel to keep him out of view from the rest as he patiently waited for Hunter and his Luna who stopped in the clearing when they were meant with the aggressive tension and growled when they smelled the vampire and turned their gaze on Alex .

The wolf looked at Axel and cleared his throat slightly " You should probably speak up before they lose their patience" The wolf said in a more gentle tone as he talked to Axel which seemed the opposite of Alex's husky , cold, and depressed voice. Yes, his human side could be like this but only if he needed to be but until then he had began to let his wolf handle problems after Jessica died. Alex took control of his body and looked his alpha in the eye since no matter what was said he couldn't lay a finger on the creature that marked his beta so Alex glared at him silently as he hoped the rabbit would speak up.

The alpha looked interested as he listened to the vampire talk before he looked at Alex with a a lightly cautious expression. " So Alex , what do you think. Also yes, mate would be the right turn and I can see you marked my beta...." In other words, do you accept him? Are you over Jessica ? Does this mean I will get my beta back. Alex suddenly glared at the alpha and resisted the urge to attack but he kept his face cold " I have nothing to say . What are you expecting from me? Nothing his changing" He growled harshly and the rest of the wolves flinched while the alpha nodded respectfully. " Are you even sure what a mate is? I don't think you understand the meaning " One wolf snapped glaring at Axel and Alex simply watched with furrowed eyebrows as he was curious about the response and he knew that the wolf wouldn't dare hurt the rabbit now and Alex could simply blame it on his wolf if he did defend the vampire.

Alex managed to keep an eye on Axel as a few wolves that he considered his friends all curiously inspected his neck but were curious and avoided touching it in case he decided to attack. Well, they used to be his friends until he became cold and distant so now they were just people who never left him but he didn't feel as connected to them. The group was quite different with Isaac A.K.A Bear being the giant bear he is , Carter so was basically a golden retriever , Kaden the small omega , and Jack the Silent but sassy . " I call leading the right field" Alex called through the mind link since that was his normal position at the front on the right side because he was one of the faster and physical stronger wolves in the pack. Olivia joined behind her brother and the pack eventually formed a spread out formation before they were off.

All it took was a low branch breaking for the deer to spoke and Alex was the first one springing after it as he began to ignore the pull that was tugging on his muscles but he pushed through it and worked harder to keep a even speed. Deer are past creature that could easily break a few bones if you are unlucky but he he knew a few broken ribs would heal past so unlike the wolf behind him he wasn't timid at all with his charge. The pull was annoying as they privacy were a bit past the 5 mile mark that this point but he wanted to win his little fight against the bond. Alex was truly nervous about how the rsvbit could have a strong hold on him even though Alex was viciously more dominant but if the vampire was to even touch his neck he may not be able to resist the urge to control himself around him or he would just be a groaning and growling mess.
