Imani nodded her thanks. "Yeah we probably should. Looks like everyone else is leaving." Imani waked back to the pride, Zeus at her shoulder. "So how are you liking pride life so far?" She asked, gazing at the beautiful sunset that turned the sky blood red.

He walked with her, their shoulders almost touching. The sunset turned Imani's pelt a blood orange color. And he assumed his pelt did the same. He continued to drag the wildebeest back, his teeth sunk in the beasts neck. He looked up at Imani's question. "Better than a life as a rogue." He said with a chuckle. "But yes, I do enjoy life in this Pride, even if I'm being watched all the time." He said, his voice muffled from the wildebeest in his mouth. "Have you liked the Pride, or have you ever thought of like, leaving for another one, or just." He stopped, looking in her eyes. "Maybe something more?"

Imani thought for a moment. "I've never considered leaving before. I've thought about it, specifically when things weren't going well, but I never acted on it." "I can't say I've liked it. It's been good, and it's been bad, I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. I have always wondered what it would be like being a rouge though." She answered truthfully. Imani had definitely thought about leaving before, but the idea of actually leaving made her fur stand on end.

Zeus nodded at her response. "Even when pride life is bad, its still better than that of a rogue." He said, in a serious tone. "Ive found happiness here, in the pride, and in you Imani." He said, his gaze falling upon her, then he continued towards camp, letting Imani interpret his words. The wildebeest still in his mouth, he went on towards canp, his tail swishing in contemption.

Imani tried to read Zeus's gaze, but found nothing that could help her try to decipher his last words. It gave Imani a warm feeling in her chest knowing that she made someone happy here. She never felt very important in the pride, just another lioness that would be used for cubs and hunting until she died. But knowing that she had someone here that cared about her made her feel...good. Like life was still worth living. She increased her pace to catch up with Zeus, admiring his mocha pelt that everyone seemed to hate.

Zeus and Imani walked side by side as they entered camp. The Queen looked on from next to the King's side, but said nothing. They locked eyes before the Queen quickly looked away. Zeus dragged the wildebeest and put it in a pile where the ither lionesses had put their catches. Then he walked off towards the lions den. The sun was setring now, time to sleep and prepare for the next day he concluded. He looked to Imani. "Anything else I must do ol' wise one?" He said as he chuckled, waiting for the lionesses response.

Imani walked back to camp with Zeus, waiting for him as he drug the wildebeest to the prey pile. "You are dismissed for today, but your work is far from over." she responded. She chuckled at the joke.

He smiled, and gave a small laugh. "I bet it is." He said, before looking towards the lions and lionesses dens. "Look Imani," he paused, thinking on the words he wanted to say. "Ive been thinking for a while." He paused again, this time a longer pause. "The only reason I would ever join this Pride was because of you. Your the only reason I'm here, and I want to tell you, that.." He trailed, before finishing. "I really like you Imani, and I wanted to ask if you did too." He finished, his cheecks turning a slight reddish color, even though it looked the same in the evening light. His brown eyes locked with Imani's a small nervous smile appearing on his face.

Imani's eyes widened at Zeus's statement. Imani tried to think of what to say, but nothing came out. Instead she pushed her hea dunder Zeus's nuzzling his mane. She figured that would be answer enough for him. "I like you too Zeus. A lot."

Zeus grinned as Imani put her head in his mane, he draped his head softly on hers. He would savor this moment for the rest of his life. She did feel the same way, it almost made Zeus explode, like in a good way. He didnt have to hide it anymore. He closed his brown eyes. And let out a sigh of relief. He nuzzled her neck before his eyes caught something in the distance. A glare from the Queen that almost put a stake through his heart. A growl formed on her face before a mischevious smile formed, before going over to the King.
