Iris looked a little surprised, though her eyes narrowed slightly, not out of anger, but as she was thinking. "Chandler, there is too much for just a yes or no" she replied. "It's not just your lives here with the bond. It's both packs. Amara is the only heir to this pack, meaning if she accepted, she would be changing the fate of everyone here. The pack could be uprooted, depeding on how it was planned for the packs to merge" she told him calmly. "She just became of age, just gained her wolf, her mate, and her mate is an alpha of another pack. Normally, that would mean she would leave her pack and next in line would become the alpha or luna, but that isnt the case" she said with a sigh. "Tell me, what do you want to do? Reject her? Tell her that she might have a second chance mate out there?"

He was happy she didn't start yelling and hitting him. That was good sighn. "See thats--" but sje just kept going. "I was trying to explain that to her. I don't particularly care about my pack. I know, that sounds aweful. Just; hear me out. After the years of reform I've tried to implement I've had just as much pushback. As much as the elders do not want me, I don't want to be there." He took a second to catch his breath and knowing she was sick let her keep up. "I know she's having a blast with all of that. And that's the thing, the only thing influencing me to reject her is the dirty looks I get here, cause I genuinely don't care one way or another but it's beyond rare to reject and then receive another mate." He put both hands to his face and dragged th down. "Iv debated the whole rouge thing but it's simply not for me. Do you see why I'm conflicted? Not to mention Menadite. The wolfs a mess." *how dare you call me a mess boy. I don't want ANYTHING to do with the mess your causing right now* Oh please, whatever happens we ARE stuck, remember that. "Besides, she just seems to sweet to give false hope to." A nurse stopped by and dropped off some bottles of water for them and he immediately chugged it.

Iris watched him closely before she shook her head. "Does your pack have and heir" she asked. "Because if not, and you pick the wrong person to try and take over to leave, they WILL finish what your parents started." Giving a sigh she pulled out a key from her pocket. "Take this, and go find Amara. Tell her it's the key to what is now her office. It used to be her mother's office. In there, there is a folder about what caused the fight." It was clear she was heistant to say and give him the key. "This is something you both need to do together. I've kept this secret way too long." Shaking her head she spoke again. "You and your wolf are fighting too much, both wanting one thing, but never agreeing?" She knew the feeling. "I might not look it, but I had the same issues. I didnt always get along with my wolf, and there were times I nearly left the pack. I would have too had the fight not happened." She motioned for Chandler to head out and find Amara. "Please, just make sure it's only you two going in there. This is a jouney you both need to see alone."

He nodded. "A brother, young teenager, thankfully he takes after my mannerisms and comes to me for everything." He took the key and nodded. "Fighting all the time is an understatement." Taking his leave he paused before closing the door behind him and smiled and waved goodbye for her. What he felt was a simple and polite chow for now. Chandler ran outside with importantants and ignored the gaurds yelling at him for running. In the woods he followed he footsteps and stayed at full sprint in human form till he saw a wolf by the pond. "Oh fucking hell." Was all he could mutter under his breath before he stepped back and held up the key. Dite, is that her? *it's her wolf you bafoon* He smiled. "Okay, I spoke to Iris, she said this key goes to your mother's office, tha cause for all of this nonsense between our packs is in there." He shrugged and kept going. "Said something about just us having to see it." He took another step back, figuring it best to give the she wolf a bit more space. *Let me talk to her.* Over my dead body. *only if you wanna take it that far..* What *What? I never said anything* he ignored Menadite being a moron and sat down at the base of a tree. Edited at May 16, 2022 07:09 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Alya stood, facing Chandler. Her eyes looked almost hurt when she saw him, like there was a conflict within her going on, one that she couldnt get rid of. When she saw his intial reaction to back up, she looked away. *Great, now he's afraid of us* Amara thought to Alya who sighed. *Seems that way* her wolf replied. Alya slowly looked back as Amara became confused. *What would be in the office* she thought, her eyes narrowing. Alya stepped forward to look at the key, and knew it was the truth. The key was blue, the same color her mother's office was. Since the day they died, the office remained locked, and only Iris held the key. *Alya, I need to go look, but I cant have us shifting in front of him* she thought. Amara didnt plan to allow him to see her without her clothes. Alya sighed before she grabbed Amara's clothes and moved behind a bush before shifting back. Amara clenched her fists, fighting back the pain, knowing the rest of her shifts wouldnt hurt her so much. Giving a sigh, she quickly got dressed and slowly walked out from behind the bush.

When the wolf stepped forward he stayed put, he watched it grab her cloaths and understood and turned around facing the main building. He stashed the key in his pocket. Stupid say what? *what?* Got ya. He heard footsteps behind him and turned to see Amara again. He gave a smirk. "Someone's shy. Now, lead the way. I don't know where I'm going." It still wasn't even noon yet and he felt so much had already happened.

Amara shot a small glare at him before she spoke. "I dont need anyone seeing me without either my clothes or fur" she said before she looked forward. She sighed as she slowly started to make her way towards the pack house. She rubbed her arm nervously before she stumbled a bit. While she wasnt nearly as weak as she was before, thanks to being with Alya now, she still had wounds that needed to fully heal. One of the wounds was on her inner thigh, and it stung horribly, but she fought through the pain as she saw the pack house coming into view. "What else did Iris say" she asked, not looking at Chandler as she tried to rack her mind as to what it could be. Something didnt feel right, especially with anything that should have been told to Amara years ago.

He gave a little laugh. "I hate to break your bubble, but at some point your going to be caught off gaurd shifting. Eventually it'll happen so often you just don't care anymore." He realized his attempt to make her feel more comfortable and adjusted backfired. "That is.... NOT how I ment that to sound." He hid his have as his cheeks got warm and followed her. As her pace quickened he could tell she was healing fast now. Looking up he saw her stumble a bit and catch herself as the pack house came into view. "Just that's is and a quote a journey you both need to see alone he handed her the key from his pants pocket as he remembered leaving his jacket with Iris.

Amara shook her head at the thought of others catching her off guard while shifting. Sure, while shifting into Alya wouldnt be so bad, shifting back would leave her exposed. *I might have to hade clothes around here then* she thought, but she didnt get a reply from Alya like she hoped. "A journey? Could she have been any more cryptic" she asked as she shook her head. This was certainly something new from Iris. Once she reached the office door, she looked hesitant to unlock it. After taking a deep breath she inserted the key and walked in. "Close it behind you. If she says it's only for us, then we need to not let others know" she said. She looked around before she saw a single file laying on the desk and walked over. It was dusty, which made sense seeing that it was from before her parents were killed. Amara sat down and pulled the file closer before she opened it. Her jaw dropped as she read it. "We need the help of a dark witch if this is going to work.Only having a daughter hinders the pack, and we need to have a son, or make sure she has a mate worthy of her, but how? The only way seems to be for my mate and I to be killed, but the only way for it to happen without issue, it needed to be another Alpha and Luna. While we discussed with the dark witch, she laughed, knowing just who would be perfect to help. While she planned on who and when, we would need to be just as surprised, but now I know my pack will be watched over, the dangers of only having a daughter will not destroy the pack like it would have. We know she will have the perfect mate, and while we only know his name, Amara and Chandler WILL be this pack's Alpha and Luna." Amara felt tears in her eyes as she dropped the file. She looked up at Chandler and tried to speak, but her voice cracked. "I-I think our parents paid a dark witch" she said as she handed him the file. She didnt look to see what else was there, she couldnt.

He followed her up the stairs which got more narrow as they went up. It leveled off and at a platform where there 3 doors, one of them matching the key. He gave a shrug. "Criptic is as cryptic does I gues." He gave her a step to unlock the door amd step inside, closing amd locking the door behind him. "A step ahead of you." He brushed past her to the massive window amd could even see the highway. Where the skyline and the trees became one. He took notice of the layout of the room, a few chairs, two desks and a coffee table between the two desks. On the desk opposite the window next to the door was a file, and Amara who had gone silent with it open and in her hand. Her newly stiffled breathing caused him to close the curtains and stand behind her. "Are you ok---" She handed him the opened file with a dusty cover, leaving a residue on his hands. As he read it, each sentence was worse then the last one. He looked up at her and then back at the pages. He must've read it three or four times before he closed it again. Tossing it on the table he slowly walked behind her. *I know you don't care, you know your parents. But she needs comforting you ofe.* I know. He awkwardly put his arms around her and put his head above hers, pulling her in. His parents where aweful, even before all this had started years ago. He wasn't surprised they took up the offer. Gain land and go on a killing spree, of course they did it. Lifting a hand he wiped the tear from her cheek. "That does seem to be the case. Do you want me to go and make some calls, verify this; or stay here with you and just talk, or we could sit in silence?" He pulled up a chair from a corner for her.
