Kelly walked the way she came up. She was going to try to stop the fighting even if it meant her getting hurt or killed. She ran where she had saw them. She stood there. She pinned her ears back. "What's going on here?!" She asked. She already knew but hopefully talking would stop the fighting.

The male had pinned Sky and looked over, when he saw Kelly he purred. "Nothing a lioness like you needs to worry about. This will be over soon."

Sky growled at the male and looked at Kelly "Stay back Kelly!"

Kelly looked at Sky. "Get off of him please." She really cared about Sky. She acted tough but she didn't know what she'd do if she lost Sky..

"This ISN'T your fight lioness. I will not stop until he gives up or is dead, that's just how things work. " He growled at Kelly.

Sky got his paw free and clawed the male's face and got up. They both roared at each other and started circling again.

"He's my mate.." Kelly said.. even though they weren't true mates. She really cared about. She really wanted the fighting to stop. She sighed.

The male roared angrily and pounced on Sky "Fine then! I'll be back to kill your cubs and take your mate then!" The male got off Sky and left the territory.

Sky got up and roared loudly as the male ran off, he turned and went over to Kelly while he ignored his injuries. "Kelly, that was risky"

"Yes I know. I used to chase off hyenas. But I know we're not mates even though our parents want us to be, but Sky.. I really do like you..." Kellg said sitting down with a sigh. She looking at the ground.

Sky hesitated for a few moments before licking Kelly's forehead. "I don't see why we can't be mates," He said "We've been by ourselves for a least a month and....I like you too, I guess just getting to know each other has made me...think about my feelings more"

Kelly blushes and she nuzzles him. She then licked him. "Running away and spending time together really formed my feelings for you. I've had feelings for you for a while but I never told you. I guess I was just scared." She said. "Let's get back to the cave."

Sky nodded and started to walk back to the cave with Kelly. By the time he had laid down in one of the caves, Sky had started feeling the pain of his injures. The worst one was a nasty shoulder bit "Dang...this is gonna take a long time to heal"
