Amara looked at her feet as he spoke. "We did nothing since we couldn't. We had no way to fight back after what happened" she said. She sighed as she slowly looked up again. "Don't get me wrong, our defenses are much better now, if there is an attack, not exactly if someone sneaks around apparently." She sounded rather upset at that part. "But we could withstand an attack better than before." She looked over at Chandler before she raised her eyebrow. "Would two days be long enough to discuss" she asked, not knowing what he would say. She felt like they needed more time to talk. Especially right then. "I can have someone bring food" she offered. She hadn't eaten well since before the ceremony. In fact, she recalled not eating anything AT the ceremony which only made it worse. *Ugh, how could I have seriously not eaten that night* she thought before Alya replied. *Well, your emotions were not exactly in check for one, two, you were kidnapped.* Amara couldn't help but roll her eyes. *Thanks Alya* she thought back to her wolf before she looked back at her feet. She hoped she would be strong enough by sun down to shift for the first time.

He kept looking at the wall and floor with his head held in his hands. "I wish I could tell you why they did it or find some way to reverse what they did. Unfortunately I can't." He had started to take notice of the small inflections in her voice and the tones behind it. Chandler didn't understand what she ment. Just being defenseless is terrifying enough as an idea. "Well there are a few things I noticed that should be done, cameras along the highway, and driveway. Would have made it easier to find you." He immediately regretted saying anything about it. *Dumbass* You where thinking the same thing. He gave her a side eye. He felt he had already been there long enough, two more days was being generous. "I don't know, I don't particularly care where I am. The pack just freaks out when I'm gone from the pack house for to long." He slowly laid down on the floor, the cold tiles feeling good on his back. "Besides, I don't think there's all that much to talk about." His brutal honesty and blunt behavior had begun to show. "To be frank it seems like a simple yes or no type question." He lifted his head and tilted it in her direction. "But if you wanted me to stay longer all you would have to do is ask." He chuckled as he put his head back on the ground and covered his face with hair. "I'll be fine. I've gone much longer with much less. You however, felt way to light and frail for your build when I carried you to the car and then again to the hospital bed. You should order food for yourself." He sat up and took of his jacket and chucked it down the hall and undid the buttons on his shirt and then rolled to the side. The chill of the tiles had a soothing affect. He looked up to see if she would react at all. Edited at May 12, 2022 09:04 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Amara bit her lip slightly. "While it might have made it easier to find me, the humans have been known to hack the cameras, and we dont exactly need them seeing us shift any way way" she replied. She hoped she hadnt come off as rude with her reply, but it was true. A couple of pack members had seen the humans trying to hack cameras around the town, making it dangerous to have any around the pack. "There is more to discuss than just yes or no, and you know that. If we did accept the bond, what would happen to the packs? They wouldnt exactly merge easily for one. Two, which territory? Or would we just use both? If we did use both, which pack house and things like that. We would have to watch both packs closely for a while, not because either one wants to fight, but the smallest thing could set any of them off, especially the ones here who lost their mates in the attack." She let her eyes fog over as she mind-linked one of the she-wolves that worked in the kitchen, hoping they would have someone bring her something to eat. She made sure to have them bring extra, but didnt tell them why. After ending the link, she looked over at Chandler, watching as he took off his jacket and shirt to lay down. "Sore" she asked. She made sure to not look too long, and turn to look towards the sky.

He could see where she was coming. "You get some that can't rotate and have them face away from where you would be shifting. Not to mention I don't think anyone should be shifting that far from the home for that specific reason." He took another moment. "It also would be beneficial to operate on a different system." He hadn't heard of anyone else having that problem and the farthest part of his packs territory was still 5 miles from the nearest city. Still laying on the cold tiles he reached one arm up and put his elbow on the ground and his head on his hand. He gave a sigh. *I know what your thinking. Don't you---* "I'm going to tell you something horrible Amara, and I don't care what you have to think or say about it." Menadite got quiet. He amd Chandler disagreed on a lot, and knew what was coming up. "Even after all of the effort and work I put into reforming them amd the way we run the packs violence and hatred are being passed down on what almost looks like a genetic trait." He kept his voice flat, cold, and distant. "It has been an unfortunate awakening to see I don't care what happens to them. The only one of US who does is Menadite." He let his eyes shift colors, letting her know he was always there, watching, and waiting. He gave a laugh "so when you bring up all these, I'm assuming deal breakers for you; I genuinely do not see it any more then a simple yes or no." He tilted his head with an empty gaze and slowly added a smile. "Sore? No no, just way to warm." He plopped his whole body back down. Edited at May 15, 2022 09:15 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Amara clenched her fist slightly when he mentioned it being a yes or no question still. It was never going to be that easy. It wasnt just their mate bond in question, but their packs lives as well. She shook her head as she slowly stood up. While she was still weak, she wasnt nearly as she was before. Once Amara was on her feet she started to walk towards the thicker part of the forest, but she knew that her pack would be more watchful now. The warriors all seemed to be watching the borders much closer now while the elders discussed what to do with that foolish Alpha that took her. They were ready to take the pack apart and turn them into rouges while taking Quinton into prison to sit on trial. Amara stumbled a bit, catching herself on a tree and held on before she sighed and shook her head. As she got back on her feet she made her way towards the rather large pond that was in her territory and sighed before she thought to Alya. *What do I do* she thought. *He doesnt even seem bothered by the bond at all.* She looked down as she sat, her toes in the water. *Dont worry Amara. Whatever happens, I will be here* Alya replied. Amara sat there for a while before she started stip down, feeling Alya pull herself forward. She knew it was time to shift for the first time. Amara felt pain rising through her, and it took a few minutes, but finally she was on all fours, her snow white coat covering her. Shaking her head she looked around. *Woah* was all she could say.

Chandler watched carefully as she stood up wobbly and walked off just as uneasy as she did when she got there. He yawned and got up, and collected his jacket the he threw. I wonder how that Iris chick is doing. He looked over his shoulder to see Amara walking into the woods. He walked up to a gaurd. "Amara just went back in the woods. Have fun with that." He patted him on the shoulder and went to find that doctor. He traced his steps back into the hospital and looked around. He wasn't able to find the doctor but did find Iris's bed. He could see she was still a little uneasy. "Good morning. Coffee?" Chandler took a chair and placed it at the foot of her bed and sat down in it. Edited at May 16, 2022 05:38 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Iris barely looked over when she saw Chandler. "Did you find her" she asked, having not heard much. She did heard the guard shouting something before it faded, but hadnt been able to hear what it was. She shook her head assuming it was just a guard getting pissy that Chandler was still there. She didnt care, all she wanted was for Amara to be home safe. She winced as she sat up slightly, though it was clear it was from a headache she had from the lack of sleep. "Where is she?"

He smiled seeing she was able to speak. "Yeah, found, rescued, and is on her way to an easy recovery." The gaurd shouted, probably just processed what he told him. "I was just with her, she's in the woods again. Enjoying her freedom." Don't sit up. I don't mean to be rude but you look worse then I do." He laughed a little and smiled. He saw the room being cleared as people where running out for Amara, knowing she couldn't be in the woods in human form. Once it was cleared enough he moved the chair to be by the head of her bed. "How well do you think you could handle incredibly... shocking..... news?" He asked nervously as he whispered. *what are you doing?* Your no use, Amaras certainly not thinking in any rational manner. This one seems to be a good one to get advice from. *you know I take offense to that* And your forgetting I don't care. The hospital room grew more silent except for a cough every now and there, the room having an overall cold feeling.

Iris gave a sigh of relief when she heard Amara was safe. "If she is anything like her mother, she has probably already shifted, wanting to be as her wolf" she said as she laid back. "I've dealt with a lot of shocking news, I think I can handle anything." She waited, wondering what he was going to say. *Why would he ask* she wondered, but her wolf didnt bother trying to reply.

He shifted uncomfortably in the chair. "Something happened, as soon as she was out of the--" He decided to leave out the graphic parts. "In the courtyard on the way to the car she found her mate." He hung his head as he stood up to whisper in her ear so anyone awake couldn't hear them. "It's me." He watched her carefully as he sat back down. "She went in the woods after I explained I don't see it as anything more then a yes to accept or a no to deny and why that is." He gave a tired yawn and stepped, seeing how she would react and if he should leave the room. "And before you say anything loudly just know only 6 people know. Her, myself, the three who helped me save her, and now you." He got quiet, feeling like he just confessed he had broken a window as a child.
