The male was about to speak when a nurse came out to speak with them. "The Luna should be awake soon. Everything went well, and she's healing" she said before she left. The male sighed as he shook his head. "You know, if that was the case, that you did punish them and change, you would have reached out" he said before he left to go sit with Amara. While he wasnt anything to her, being one of the lead warriors he needed to protect her, at least that's what he always thought, and now, he felt like he failed his job when she had gotten taken. After sitting with her for a while, he heard her stir and looked over. "Luna" he said with a smile before Amara looked around. "W-where is Chandler" she asked. He hid a clenched fist from her. "Probably either asleep or eating. I can send word to him that you are up" he offered, though he wasnt too happy about that. Amara shook her head. "I-I just wanted to talk to him" she said before she winced slightly from the pain she was still in. He nodded and mind-linked one of the men to go get Chandler, and to just tell him Amara wanted to speak with him, but that it wasnt important. After all, Amara didnt say it was.

He sat discontent and silent till the nurse came out. He smiled at the news, not even realizing it and nodded to her in thanks. When the other guy got up and shook his head, further trying to drive a wedge "Every man has a reason for the things he does." The reply came back slow, like he was planning every words carefully. When he left the room, Chandler wanted to follow but knew it wouldn't be smart thing to happen. A confused, tired, amd possibly angry new Luna with a wolf and he was tired. It didn't sound like a good combination. So he just sat with his foot tapping and sipping his coffee. Nothing like having to justify myself to wake me up. He sighed and put his elbows on his knees and placed his head in his hands. He sent out a text to his pack. *Gonna stay a few more days, make sure they know it had nothing to do with us. Keep them in order.* A while later one of the men who helped him rescue her got his attention. "She wants to see you." He looked up. "What for? Is she perfectly well?" The guy didn't answer, instead just told him to follow; so Chandler reluctantly followed him to the recovery room. In one hand he had his phone which he put in his pocket. The other a cup of coffee he brought for her. He stood at the bedside next to the guy sitting in the chair and placed the cup on the folding desk attached to the bed in front of her. "I don't know how you like your coffee so I left if as they brewed it." He felt awkward and out of place in this room, knowing many died in here because of his parents. Amara motioned for the Warrior to leave before she slowly pushed herself to sit in the bed. "I didn't tell them why I called you in" she said. "I figured it be best to talk now though." Her head throbbed a bit as she watched him. The Warrior stood outside the door, but it was closed so she knew he couldn't hear what was said. "I'm assuming you felt the sparks too as you helped me?" She rubbed her arm slightly, it being covered in bruises, but most of her cuts nearly healed. She waited to hear what he said, but she assumed with the packs histories, he would reject her, and a rejection would only harm her more than what she was. She ignored the coffee as she didn't really want any right then, and she didn't want to seem rude in denying it, therefore ignoring would be the best option right then.

He watched as she dismissed the gaurd and how annoyed he was with her choice to do so. *well, are you happy Chandler?* Menadite laughed. *I told you notnto come.* He knew he enjoyed the gloating. He looked her in the eyes as she sat up, knowing she was straining herself, but he didn't stop her. "The fee in the car who helped me are anxious to tell the others. They know." He left out the part on how she being unconscious muttered the word "mate" while he was holding her. "I think they are just as anxious to tear me into pieces though." He laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood unsuccessfully as she got straight to the point. "I felt a static electricity type thing. I thought it was just your dress." His eyes followed her hand as it rubbed her buised and buttered arm. "I was more focused on getting you into the car amd start fixing you up." He moved his unbrushed morning hair from his eyes and rubbed the ridge of his nose and then his face, letting the room go quiet. Edited at May 10, 2022 09:53 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Amara gave a small nod. "I figured they would" she admitted. "I thought I heard it being mumbled, and I dont know by who." She assumed it was herself being the way she had been when they found her. "Can you blame them" she asked. "After all, the past our packs have had, it's not easy for them to trust any. I know one of my men found their mate in your pack last year when they met at a bar, and he rejected her rather quickly" she admitted. "While it obviously wasnt ideal for that to happen, I didnt blame him." She took a deep breath. "The dress wasnt staticy if that's what you were trying to blame" she said as she moved to where her feet were now off the bed. She felt well enough to stand and walk a bit, and that's what she planned on doing. "I appreciate what you did for me" she said. "I really do. And we have much to discuss for the packs, weather we, well, accept the bond or not. You saving me, shows me that you dont want the packs at war any longer, and to be honest, I dont either." Her eyes met his as she motioned for him to follow her out of the room as she made small, wobbly steps. When the warrior reached out to help her, she shook her head, telling him to stay there.

He was still tired and not operating as well as he would have liked.Sleeping in his car for a week and living of the bare minimum is never good for anyone. "I think I can blame them. The way it is, they are blaming me for something I was to young to even have a hand in. I wasn't even in training yet." He gave a sigh weighed down with annoyance. "And then when I explaine that much I then get questioned as to why I never reached out." This continuous blame had gotten to him threw out his time there. Pressure amd hatred from every angle. At this point he would settle to just fight it out if the option became available; that would be better then the blame game. He nodded, familiar with the story. "I asked her about it, they got along rather well till that became revealed. She was rather upset about it." He watched her slowly try to get up and held out his arm if she needed it for balance at all. The idea of rejecting the bond was one that seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately he knew he needed a mate, and an heir. "Quinton has never been all there I'm afraid." He looked down at her as she moved slowly and unsteady out of the room. "I don't know if I would call it a war, maybe a long disagreement." He shuffled his hair more and stayed close because A, he didn't know where he was going; and B, in case she fell down. Better she land in his arms then on the floor. He leaned his head down over her shoulder to her ear. "Where... are we going exactly?" Edited at May 11, 2022 08:58 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Amara listened quietly as he spoke, leaning against the walls as she walked. "They blame you because they fear you are like your parents. I wont lie, I did too, until you actually went out of your way to save me." She stopped in her tracks and sighed. "I'm sorry for blaming you. Ever since my parents died, I feared other packs would see me as weak if I even tried to trust another pack." She shook her head slightly before she kept herself going. "I always assumed that you hated us just like your parents when there was no reaching out" she admitted. It was easy to hear it in her voice that she wasnt proud of feeling that way. "A dissagreement, could lead to a war if left to it's own devices" she told him. "You have seen how my pack has looked at you, and well, if they really wanted to, they could lie and say they were attacked by one of your pack mates, and well, before last night I would have believed them. I am sure the rest of them would still believe it weather I said anything against it or not." Amara winced slightly as she placed her hand over her stomach. "I dont know about you, but I cant exactly stand being in hospitals long and need fresh air" she told him. "Especially now that the smell of them is stronger than before."

He kept pace with her, not going to fast and able to catch her if necessary, though even as they walked he could see she was healing. "Fear is a stupid emotion that keeps people from seeing the truth." He watched her out of the corner of his eye and kept facing forward. "And you do know what they say when you assume things right?" He laughed as the saying came to mind. "But seriously, I never reached out as I knew how much trauma had gone by and my advisors figured a celebratory day would be more appropriate as it's encased with good feelings. I still don't know kw if they where right or wrong yet." He recalled when he first got there the amount of dirty looks he received and the burning hatred in their eyes. He gave a long sigh. "Even after last night your the only one who would believe anything I said. Not even the three who rode in MY car with the instructions I gave them, I got your room first by working backwards. Still nothing. I stopped your bleeding in the car, I told them to get water." He knew his voice was rising in anger and frustration. "I've been here a week doing nothing but trying to find YOU and play NICE with THEM. Meanwhile, I've been sleepingin my car, running on an empty stomach and constantly berated." He felt his fist ball up amd rubbed his face. "You could see how anyone would be frustrated with this situation." He got really quiet and hung his head after seeing how loud he had gotten, only looking at her agin when she winced. "Hospitals do smell aweful." He opened the door for her to go outside and get the fresh air. Edited at May 12, 2022 02:36 PM by AppleBottomJeans

Amara slowly walked out of the hospital before she leaned against the wall, slowly sliding down to sit. "Wouldn't your pack have done the same? If you lost more than half of your pack in an unprovoked attack? And if you were taken right after your ceremony?" She assumed they would, but that didn't excuse them not feeding him or letting him sleep in the room he was assigned. "I'm not happy about you not being fed, and having to sleep in your car. But after today, I can promise that won't happen again." She let her head rest against the building, motioning that he could sit as well. "Are you hungry now" she asked. While she hadn't been happy he raised his voice at her, she didn't blame him, he had a right to be upset. Had she been there, he wouldn't have been treated as badly, but that rude Alpha just had to hope she was his mate, making her shudder at the thought.

He huffed, knowing all the reform he had done. "I don't think they would have done nothing. My parents would have ordered everyone fight to the death." He got flashbacks of when he was in training and he didn't even have his wolf yet. The scares on his torse would never let him forget. "Their ideologies wouldn't have let them do nothing. And if I had been taken after a ceremony there's no telling what hell would have rained down on my kidnappers." He plopped on the ground. "I come from a very different pack then you do, and looking around there is still much I have to change." Being tired of all of the hard work he still had ahead he placed his head in between his hands. *Your acting like a weak child. Grow up.* Menadite you see it as much as I do. The twisted ways of our pack and the blood on their hands, the difference between us is I'm not proud of it. *It's not my fault your ashamed of our roots boy.* Looking up at the other side of the hall he focused on her voice. "It doesn't matter. I'm going home after two days just to make sure--" He cut himself off, still feeling uncomfortable; the idea of her knowing he felt her being physically stable as his responsibility made him uncomfortable. He could feel his ears getting warm. *Your starting to like her. Arnt you* Thats a ridiculous thought, shut up before you make a fool of yourself. With conflicted emotions Chandler looked over at her. "Even at home I'm never not hungry." He he snapped into finger guns that where pointed at her as he kept a deadpan face.
