Magdalene had seen her ship slip around the peninsula to the west, and figured they would come back once the torches in the town were extinguished and night fell. She was leaning against a tree, looking over the map, occasionally grumbling at some poorly drawn figures, or scoffing at the inacuracy of the map in general, "You'd figure he'd at least known where his own island base was located..." It was clearly a map made without the purpose of providing accurate distances or measurements of anything. Luckily, once Magdalene was back on her ship she could translate this information onto one of her maps of this location.

Carwen twirled a flower in her small fingers, staring at the blue, pretty little thing. Before promptly crushing it and throwing it out of sight. She was growing bored of this waiting game, she knew her people had made it out, had seen her large ship leaving awhile back, now she was just waiting for the idiots to return so they could find this treasure.

After getting tired of the stiff silence, Magdalene bit the bullet, turning to Carwen, "So - how are we going to do this? I don't trust you to be on your ship on your own with the map, or be anywhere near me with cannons, and I assume it is the same for you. And neither one of us are stupid enough to be by ourselves on an enemy ship."

Carwen looked up as Magdalene spoke, her eyes narrowing as she listened. "Well of course, I know that you'd probably throw me over the side of your ship if I got on yours. Maybe we can choose either of our ships and bring a select amount of people with us, same number for both, that way we both have people we feel.... comfortable with." Carwen raised her eyebrow, asking a question.

Magdalene thought over it, "Alright," she finally agreed, "Your ship is larger, and can house the groups more comfortably, so that is most likely the best choice." Magdalene also didn't want anyone to have access to her other maps, as they were valuable and her source of pride.

Carwen nodded, all of her things were stashed away and little rats wouldn't ever find it unless they wanted their fingers chopped off. Plus, half of her rather expensive things were put in places only a pixie could reach. "Sounds fine to me, how many people do you wanna bring? I'll leave the ones I don't choose with your people on your ship, if that's okay with you." Carwen would throw her crew somewhere regardless, but she would much prefer if she actually knew who they were with and where they were. It made it easy to get them back.

Magdalene grimaced, "If my information on you is correct, then your crew is around 30 people strong. That's about 15 men for each of us," Her ship was smaller, and only had 15 permanent members. The other five were thugs for hire, and she didn't trust them to take care of the ship alone, much less have five men with the 15 or so people from Carwen's ship. This weakness would not be made known, of course, "Amd no... my ship will not house your crew." Magdalene had a secret area that she stowed her ship away in, like most pirates. She let go of the five for-hire pirates, keep her ship there, and take the remaining 15 men. Of course, she couldn't leave her ship completely alone, but the families of her pirate crew lived in her ships holding area, along with other retired pirates who no longer wanted to adventure on the seas. It was an interesting set up, but it gave those people protection, and Magdalene convenient protection for her ship, so it worked.

Carwen shrugged, it was a simple question, though she would have preferred to know where her extra crew mates would be when she got back, she supposed she understood why Magdalene didn't want that. She probably would've said no as well. "'Kay, I could find them somewhere else I suppose, didn't think you'd actually say yes anyways." Carwen began to think of places where her crew could stay where they wouldn't be bothered... she had a few locations in mind but she'd have to ask her crew first. Despite what it might seem, she always asked her crew first before doing anything too rash. Unless it came to treasure, as they all had the same one-track mind as her.

The sun soon slipped beyond the horizon, and Magdalene peered into the darkness. When she saw the lights in the village go out as well, Magdalene tucked the map into her shirt, "My boat will be here momentarily." She didn't know if the pipsqueak had made any arrangements should someone have been left behind, and was curious as to whether the pixie would have to ride with her. Magdalene certainly wasn't going to offer.

Carwen looked up at the setting sun, knowing her plan well enough that she wouldn't be out of here till the moon shone completely against the dark sky. "Okay, I'll have to hang back for awhile. We still have to meet up somewhere though, that way we can head off. Any ideas?" Carwen hoped that Magdalene wouldn't just run off with the map, if she did, oh Carwen would happily cut off each of her fingers one by one.
