Killian continued to lead the way, the ghost of a grin appearing on his face as Flower Boy corrected him. "Well, you're more ordinary than I thought you were, I had some hope for you but not anymore." The humor was evident in Ian's voice, though he definitely had a mean sense of humor. "Don't get me wrong though, it sounds like a very.. comfortable life. Until I cam along and screwed up all your peace huh?" Ian said this genuinely, as he tended to ruin people's lives a lot.

"Well..." Rhys tried to think of a kinder way to phrase his words, "Yeah," he finally said plainly, "It was normal until someone attacked you at the grocery store." Rhys groaned, "Shoot! I still have to explain that to my boss." He took off his glasses and pressed the heel on his hand onto his eye before wiping it away, "Great."

Killain shrugged, he supposed he should feel some sort of empathy for Flower Boy but he really didn't. The last person he'd felt anything for was long since dead and Killian only really cared about himself and the gang now. "Damn, my fault, though I'm not really sorry. I was just trying to get some groceries, I tend to attract trouble. If you want, I can get one of my guys to tell your boss that there was a water pipe that busted and the wiring in the building got messed up when a customer got scared and accidentally caused an electrical surge. It would explain why there are scorch marks everywhere and would get you out free of course." Killian only was doing this because Flower Boy had saved him, something he would never admit to anyone but himself.

Rhys shrugged, "Yeah, that'd make it easier, probably. If I get fired I won't be surprised, though. Maybe the froyo place is hiring..." Rhys was mostly talking to himself. He'd thought he saw a sign up. Maybe it was time to try and get an actual job, and not just do stuff on minimum wage and give up on pottery.

Killian released a half chuckle, the first time a true humor lit his eyes. Something that made Killian chuckle had to be at least a semi-decent joke. "If you really do get fired, I can hook you up with a job. Something that isn't actually illegal, just to clarify. You are much to soft to do much of anything like what I do, right Flower Boy?" Killian smirked, his hands shoved comfortably in his pockets.

"Oh god yes," Rhys said loudly, and when some people looked their way, lowered his voice, "Giving you those groceries without making you pay is probably the most illegal thing I've done." As Rhys watched the near-stranger, he wondered what exactly led to this point in his life, "So, you know my magic already - plant stuff," Rhys conveniently left out his other magic, "What about you?"

Killian snorted, his eyes as closed off as ever. This kid really thought that Ian would tell him anything? Sure, he owed him, but not that much. "That's what I thought. You seem like a goody two shoes. As for my powers, electricity, and the other is... classified information. What else do you wanna know Flower Boy?" Ian was hardly looking at the guy, he only gave him simple glances every now and then.

Rhys shrugged calmly, not bothered by Ian not telling him the other. He'd done the same, after all, "Nothing else really, except maybe where we are going. That would be kinda nice to know." Rhys bit his tongue, "Sorry. That was unnecessarily sarcastic."

Killian chuckled at the sarcasm, good to know that Flower Boy could be mouthy sometimes. Though he highly doubted the scrawny man would ever catch up with his level of sarcasm. "Well it's nice to know you aren't all rainbows and unicorns Flower Boy, though I wouldn't recommend being rude to me, most who do that mysteriously disappear. And I told you already. I have a rental house, other than my actual one. It's close enough to my place that I can be there whenever I need to, and no, I don't murder people in there or anything. It's more of a quiet place. Books and all that shit. You'd probably like it, I hope you do, cause I don't have any other place for you to go unless you wanted to be surrounded by criminals with even lower morals than myself."

"Actually, in regards to the place, I was talking about the address, and where it was in the city, or if it even was in the city..." Rhys trailed off, uncomfortable talking now that Ian had basically threatened him into not talking back to the other man, "And yeah... I would prefer to be away from... your area of work."
