Aldwin nodded and tried for a smile. It was half-hearted though as he could hardly smile at this moment. He liked it better when it was just his father as the king and not Aldwin.

The proceeding went on, and all Gwendolyn could think is that, hopefully, one day she could look back on this and smile at how lucky she was. Right now, though, that is not the case. One bright side of this forced marriage is that they certainly would not force their own children into this unhappiness - not when it was so rough on them.

Aldwin had though the same thing, he knew he'd be expected to have children. As all kings were expected to do once they were married. He didn't want to have children just yet but he supposed he'd have to. What he would not do to his children was force anything on them. As he was the result of a father who did that to much and he was a stressed mess that did hardly anything other than worry about his kingdom.

Well. First off, food. Second, we can laugh at all the questions Aldwin gets asked and all the uncomfortable situations we can put them in. Or we don't and we just ts over that.

Okey
Aldwin was not having a good time. Why would he be? He was married to a woman who didn't love him and he didn't love her. Sure, she was great but he didn't want to be married. The idea of children anytime soon scares him, the thought of having to care for another was even worse. Truthfully he just didn't want to be like his father. Someone who just used people and ignored Aldwin other than to train him on how to be 'the proper king.' So the banquet's offer of food sounded good. That was before all the people crowding him and congratulating him on his marriage.
