"What if I use them but in a ... not so chaotic way? I'm not sure what that could be but I'm sure you probably do." Nyx asked. If anything, he loved his illusions. No, he would never use them for good purposes. Well... maybe in a certain situation but nothing else. "Sounds good to me." Nyx nodded. It was a good idea, trying to find out some more about the book. "Do you guys have archives here? Maybe one of the archive keepers could help out, or.. something. We could just go home and see if anything is missing from the book, if letters are faded.. stuff like that?" What he meant was libraries and librarians but none of that was what they called their own in his world, and the libraries were heavily guarded in his world due to Seelie trying to steal his information.

"I am not bailing you out of jail if you get arrested" Was all she said as she stood from the table, "I know there is no stopping you, you wont listen, but if you use it on me, Im killing you" She said, threatening teasingly. She slipped her bag over her shoulders as she led the way, "They are called Libraries and Librarians" She corrected him, leading them through the now quiet halls. "I doubt there will be anything here about magical books that transport people, not heard often in this world" She said. Occasionally during their trip she explained things they passed in the halls, trophies, photos, anything he would not know, even the water fountain which amazed him. It got to the point Sabrina reached out, taking his hand, hers so small and slender against his large and strong hand. "Come on, focus" She said, pulling him in the right direction before letting go. Soon they entered the library, Sabrina stopping and thinking for a moment, where to start. She had no clue, what would this be catorgorized as? Time travel maybe? Normal 'medieval' fantasy? She had no clue. She grabbed a book cart and began the search, her eyes scanning each title as she led the two down rows of books. Anything that was remotely similar she added, soon bringing Nyx to a table, handing him a pile to start reading as she began her own. So far nothing really stood out, just casual time travel mentions. That was until there was one book that mentioned writing things into existence. Maybe that would be helpful. She set the book to the side to finish reading later before searching through some more until there was a decent pile of books to fully deep dive in.

"I'd break free. I've done it before." Nyx grinned. "I already used it on you.. and I'm not dead yet. I take this as a good sign." "Much more fun to say Archives and Archive Keepers." Nyx pouted. Everything in his own world, usually, sounded so much more fun than what they had here. The word library seemed so easy to trip over and making it plural was only worse. Nyxeris tried to understand everything she told him but honestly, some things were just way too weird to make sense. He did really enjoy the concept of water fountains though. He was a little shocked when she grabbed his hand, that wasn't a normal thing to do when in the company of the King, but as he was told a million times here; he wasn't a king. He couldn't complain. He was sat down at a table after watching Sabrina pick out a bunch of books. He was set to work reading a ton of them, and although he read quite quickly.. they were not the kind of books he enjoyed. "Why would.." and "How dumb is this guy?" could be heard every so often from his accidental muttering. He was a little annoyed with the characters being all love struck with each other and not focusing on the main issue. He looked over at Sabrina after a long time that felt like years had passed. "Find anything useful there?"

Sabrina continued to set books aside that may help them later, her focus fully on the books before her. She also gathered any of the books that had to do with Nyx and his realm to use. She looked up as Nyx muttered with furrowed brows, chuckling softly as she saw what he was reading. "Not a fan of romances?" She asked as she looked back up to him, "Hate to say they are some of my favorites" She added with a chuckle. "The main character being swept off her feet by some mysterious guy" She said before looking back to her own. She had compiled a decent pile of books for them, sitting back in the seat to think. Nyx was from the book, which meant his life and destiny was written and created for him. He didnt get to have relationships or friends or anything that was not made for him, atleast she didnt believe he did. She looked back to Nyx as he asked her if she found anything, nodding a bit she looked to the pile, "A few that I think might, or this could be a waste of time and there is no answer" She said. "You know, they dont describe much about your life in the books, you are seen as the villian so theres no back story or anything." Sabrina began to explain, realizing she did not know much about him personally, rather than just the bad things. He had to have a normal life, hobbies, likes, she wanted to know more about him. "Tell me more about yourself" She said. This whole time she had explained this world, herself, but never learned about him. She closed the book that was open before her before looking to Nyx with a soft smile. She had the chance to know her favorite character, a once in a lifetime event that no one else would say they could experience, plus he was growing on her, even if he did pick her nerves.

"No, not.. not really." Nyx glared at the book in front of him, still angered by the characters. He set the book down in front of him and moved it to a pile of books he mentally labeled as unhelpful and useless. He looked at Sabrina in question when she said she enjoyed romance books, what the fuck. Who could enjoy such lunacy between characters? There was basically no plot to many of them, just the main characters being foolish. They could've made the story just one page with the words: They fell in love. Followed by 'The End'. "Ah.. well.. there's not a lot to me." Nyx shrugged. It might be because he was written with not much to him but he really didn't have much about him. He had to think pretty hard about what things a human may find.. interesting. "I think you already know my hatred for the Seelie, so that's nothing new.." Nyx leaned back in his chair to get more comfortable while he thought. "Really all my life was based around that. Annalise was the biggest factor in it. You already know about my favourite foods, even in my own book. Pretty much all I ate." Nyx sighed. "There's really nothing about me that I can tell you except for what you've already read, I'm afraid." He couldn't think of anything that wasn't already written in the books, even small things. His favourite colour was kind of a given, black. His favourite weather was already written into the book, he loved rain and often changed the weather. He thought long and hard but nothing popped up. The only things new he could think of were all from the human world and Sabrina explained them to him. She'd know his thoughts on those already due to his aggressive amounts of questions and obvious expressions on his face when he found out what they were and what they did.

Sabrina listened as Nyx tried to think of things, it had to be true then, because it was not described, there was nothing else for him to know. Sabrina nodded, wondering what it felt like. There was so much that she loved, so many little things, whether a physical object, a sight or a gesture. Books, Art, little trinkets, the smell of rain on a sunny and warm day, hugs, being gifted something even if it was something small. Sabrina loved life for the little things that were in it. "Well, then while you are here, we will find things you like and make memories." Sabrina said, placing her hand on his for a moment in reassurance. Sabrina soon pulled her hand back and stood, "Ill put the ones we dont need back" She said with a soft smile, taking hold of the pile before heading off. As she put everything away, she began to think of things to show him, let him enjoy life before he went back. She wondered if he would even remember once he left. She sighed, shaking her head before putting the last book back. She returned, looking to Nyx as he looked around, "Ready?" She asked. She picked up the remaining books before heading to the librarian to check them out for the week. She gave them an odd look, but Sabrina played it off as a project. Afterwards, it was time to head home, debating if she should send an email to her teachers that she was sick with a cold or the flu since she clearly would have her hands tied with Nyx. The walk back was peaceful, the two just having some casual chat, more from Sabrina this time. She wanted to know more about his court, more details, she never had too many details. She was also curious about his abilities, how he could use them more in depth. Anything that came to mind she asked. She looked up to him as they walked, chuckling for a moment, "I still find it funny you hated those romance books" She teased, his eyes shooting down to her for a moment. "They can be boring, but a girl can dream, I havent met a guy who has liked them yet" She added. It was not long before they were home, back inside her comfortable apartment for the night. It was nice skipping class, having time away from it, in honesty, she wished she just dropped out.

Nyx nodded. They'd have to find something for him to have hobbies for, even just one. Everything in his book was thrilling but it left him without anything. No fun memories, no siblings to annoy him, not even open fields for anything more than sparring or training for war. Nyxeris watched her put everything away, almost wanting to keep one of the books but then again.. it was all romance he had been forced to read today. Except for that one book that had a little piece of Annalise's backstory. It was left on a cliff hanger, sort of. It had a few words blurred by what seemed to be water? The words that got blurred were her motivation for antagonizing Nyx all this time and he would've loved to read it but now he couldn't. "Oh?" Nyx looked down at Sabrina for a second. "They aren't boring, they're just dumb. They have so much potential plot to them yet they ignore the perfectly good fight scenes just to maybe kiss at the end of the book." Nyx enjoyed the walk back home. He did pester Sabrina a bit while they passed the first store he had stolen from, the one he got the chicken sandwich from a few days ago. He was smiling wide when someone crossed his path. They disappeared behind a nearby building and Nyx didn't want to make a scene of it for the sake of Sabrina not throwing a brick at his face but.. was it just him or did it look like Mira? Mira was from the book he was in as well, she was a halfbreed. Mira was written to be part of the Unseelie kingdom up until about the middle. She switched sides and betrayed him, becoming a Seelie member. It was one of the painful spots in the book for him. Felt like getting a tiny sword stabbed into his heart but it didn't matter, he would've crushed her after winning the war. Crimes against him would be punishable by worse than death but oh well. That never happened. Still.. it looked oddly like her. Nyx couldn't stop but wonder about it the rest of the way home. "Well, since those books didn't help much.. what else should we do in our free time? We have the entire day."

Sabrina slipped her shoes off, setting her keys down on the kitchen counter. She tried to think of what she could show him, something that he could make a hobby out of. "Come" She said, heading upstairs to her room. She moved her easel to the side and pulled out another one, in the corner she had a bunch of different sized canvases, different shapes as well. "Pick one out, any one" She said, gesturing towards the blank canvases, "Today you shall learn to paint" She added with a chuckle. Once he picked one out, she clipped it onto the easel, then gathered supplies for them. An array of different media to use, paints, pencils, everything. Nyx looked confused as she finally sat down. Sabrina slipped her hair into a bun to keep it out of her face before looking to Nyx, he was lost. " Art is for anyone, you dont have to have amazing skills to do it. Some artists are super realistic like me, some just splatter paint, put emotions into it. A single straight line of red could be seen as art, its whatever the mind wants it to be." She explained with a smile. Sabrina pulled her easel towards her, the blank white square ready for her next creation to be made. "Use whatever you want, how you want, let you mind choose what it means" She said before starting. She started with blues and greens, creating the landscape. Different hues to create depth and light, different brushes for different texture, she was in her zone.

Nyxeris took his boots off and put them up against the wall so Sabrina wouldn't trip over them if she went that way and wasn't careful. Wasn't much chance of that but she had taught him that it was 'polite' so he did it anyways. Nyx nodded, following Sabrina upstairs and into her room. "Alright..." Nyx murmured, moving over to the corner and looking through the options. He looked confused the entire time he was doing so but in the end he did end up picking a canvas that was a slight bit smaller than Sabrina's but otherwise basically a perfect copy. "What.. what do you mean?" Nyxeris asked. Paint? She really meant he had to learn how to splatter colours all over himself and hope it got on to the canvas? That isn't exactly what happens but from what he saw, painters ended up with more paint on themselves than they got on their canvases. He took a seat almost next to Sabrina, a little bit further away because he was sitting in front of his own canvas but he did plan on leaning over and watching what she did. That's how he learned things, by watching and waiting and trying it himself later on. It didn't work always but it worked the majority of the time so he never changed. "Watch me fuck up somehow.." Nyx sighed. He wasn't very confident in himself at the moment, but he would try. He had no clue what he was doing and would just have to hope and pray. Art was for everyone, huh? He'd find a way to fuck up and fail somehow. Even if you didn't think it was possible.. Nyx grabbed a paintbrush of a random size and looked through each of the colours. He chose black to start off with. He painted the canvas black, making sure the layer dried before applying another layer and repeated this action until the black looked dark and was dry enough for him to speckle some white onto the top for stars. That's how he begun, painting his favourite spot in his kingdom just on top of the mountains but of course, Sabrina wouldn't be able to tell until he began painting the view from where he looked down on his kingdom. If she could even tell.. it was just a landscape so there wasn't a huge chance he could fuck up that badly. There was still a small chance.. all he did was stars. And second guessed every move he made. He had thrown many confused and critical expressions at his painting throughout the process.

Sabrina turned on some music for the two, just something light and quite to kill the silence in the background. Carefully she began to add the clouds to her skyline, the soft white brightening up the painting. Next was a large tree, each leaf carefully placed in the limbs. Every few minutes she would check in on Nyx, who clearly had never done this before. "Youre doing great" She reassured him as he began to speckle on the white paint. She could tell what he was painting, so he was not doing terrible. Painting was always relaxing for her, a way to relieve stress, it was her way of creating new worlds and stories since she was not amazing at writing. If she wanted to create some mystical realm or a booming city, she could paint it. Time slowly passed on, their creations growing with each minute. Sabrina's painting was nearly finishes besides the very fine details she would add. It was the park from yesterday, the tree the main focus with Nyx sitting on one of the extended limbs, his true form looking down to Sabrina. Leaning forward, Sabrina used the smallest brush as she was currently working on the detail's of Nyx's clothing. This was nice, calming, and for Sabrina fun. Nyx wasn't getting in any trouble, and maybe he would pick this up as a hobby to keep him occupied for the time being. The sun slowly started to set through the window before them, the orange hue lighting up Sabrina as she stayed focus. She was like an angel sitting beside a demon, the two so different from eachother yet the same. In the back of her mind, Sabrina partially did not want him to leave, if was so nice having company, breaking the lonely silence that usually filled the apartment. Time would only tell what the future would hold.
