Cinder layed her head down, it was night time, the moon shining on her fur. She was snuggled up next to Hondo, his fur warming her. She looked up at him, "When should we start thinking about pups? I mean Winter is quite soon...".

Hondo lay his muzzle across her neck. He smiled. Everything would be ok, they'd have pups in between winter and spring.

Cinder awoke him by licking his muzzle. His tail thumped the ground as he got up, skaking falling leaves off of his coat. He walked over and started eating next to Cinder, taking a few mothfuls of the Elk carcass. "We should go explore and see if we can find a bigger den." He told her. "Since we will be having pups." He nuzzled her neck.

Hondo, tail erect and nose to the ground started sniffing, he knew of mountains up north, so there could be a cave for a den. "Lets go up towards the mountains, there should be den's or caves up there." He told her, heading north.

As they went north Cinder saw the mountains. She saw a perfect looking cave to raise pups in. "This should be perfect." she said nuzzling Hondo. She layed down on the stone flooring and fell asleep.

Hondo looked at the cave. It was perfect. He started scent marking the cave and around the area, and the nearby clearing. "This is perfect." He said, then layed down next to his mate.
